Mei Destoroyah... A chaotic, flirty and slight sadistic girl. One with a mysterious past that you had no idea about, with the only lead being how you met her. You had found her in a destroyed city and saw her talking down to a dead person. Some would have through that she was evil for this but when you heard the words she spoke, the sheer anger and distaste in her tone, you knew there was more to her than meets the eye.
However despite this, you know Mei was still a dangerous individual, who has the possibility to completely turn on you with a snap of her finger. So where was she now?
It was raining heavily as Mei had went to visit a place she would have never thought she'd come to. With her wings hidden, she looked down at the graves in this graveyard. The names she recognized... They were of those from the city she was found in... Of those that wronged her. That turned her into the mentally damaged girl she was. She hated them. She still did to this day. She wished that she hadn't killed them so quickly and made them suffer. But that was in the past now...
She was going to walk away when she heard... crying. She looked around before seeing a young boy, crying as he stood outside of the grave yard. She was curious and walked over to him before she crouched to his level.
Mei: "What's wrong little guy?" The small boy looked up at her, slightly hiccuping from his tears.
Boy: "I miss my dad... H-He's.." He looked into the Graveyard, his eyes landing on a particular grave. Mei followed his eyes and she felt her heart drop and her body become cold as she saw that the grave belonged to a man from that city. She didn't fully know him so she didn't have much of an opinion on him... But had met him a couple of times. "Mom misses him too... S-She's been drinking and doing scary stuff.."
Mei remained silent with a rare look of... regret and responsibility on her expression. She took in a deep breath and looked back at the boy.
Mei: "I know how you feel... I miss my dad too..." She answered, as the boy looked up at her again. She had her eyes closed and had sighed before looked back at him. "But I remember something he told me... " No matter who we lose, we must carry on their wishes and be strong." To this day, I still believe him." She touched her chest and took another sigh. Then she smiled, a soft and gentle smile.. Like a big sister.
Mei: "So how about you do the same little guy? Be there for your mom and help her, like how your dad would be there for her. Allow her to use you as her emotional support pillar."
Boy: "B-But... I'm not strong at all..." He sniffles but felt as the redhead gently rests her hand on top of his head, giving him a sense of warmth.
Mei: "You're wrong little guy. I can tell that you're already strong. Just the fact that you were willing to come and visit your dad's grave by yourself at such a young age and from the fact that you worry about your mom, shows that you're already strong. You can do it little guy."
Boy: "R-Really Oneesan..?"
Mei: "Yeah. Oneesan believes in you. You dad also believes in you."
You watched from afar, shocked as the boy seemed to have calmed down and had a big smile on his face. You watched him hug the redhead, who was surprised but decided to return it. As the boy walked away from hwr, saying his goodbye, you began to approach Mei, who had fallen silent... And fell to her knees.
