A skag was searching the desert scavenging for things to eat. After coming up with nothing it sits down on the side of the road. It looks to us right and sees another skag who was also scavenging for something to eat. They both face in each other's direction and bark at one another with their tails wagging. They run to each other only for both to get run over by two bandit technicals that was speeding on the road.

On the vehicles were bandits who were loading up their weapons getting ready for a fight and psychos who were yelling and screaming at the top of their lungs.

They all came to a stop outside an abandoned fuel station. With their weapons ready they exit their vehicles and surround the warehouse.

Bandit: Listen up skaglick! My boys and I are here for your head!

The loud bandit steps towards the warehouse with marauders and psychos behind him.

Bandit: Come out now and maybe, just maybe, we'll leave the rest of your limbs on your body!.

???: Don't see fire weapons.

???: Doesn't mean we should underestimate them, (Y/n).

You chuckle.

???: Ven. We've been doing this for a year now and what do I keep telling you? Bandits are idiots. If they started using their heads then the whole world would end.

Venom grumbles.

Venom: No world. No delicious heads...

(Y/n): It was a joke dude.

You watch the bandits get closer to the warehouse.

(Y/n): Medium rare.

Closer. You tilt your head and shrug with slightly widened eyes. Almost like you were surprised.

(Y/n): Medium? Feeling daring?

Venom: Hmm...

The bandits get to the door.

Venom: Well done.

You smile and pull out a detonator from your pocket. The bandit gets to the door and reads the sign on it saying 'no soliciting'.

Bandit: Knock knock!

The bandit kicks open the door showing the inside of the warehouse which was full of fire barrels.

The bandit freezes in place.

Bandit: Uh oh.

You shook your head.

(Y/n): Why don't they ever read the sign?

You push the button on the detonator. The bomb laying in the middle of the barrels activates and explodes. Blowing the warehouse up and killing the bandit and a few of the men behind him.

The men on the truck look shocked. Stuck staring at the explosion, they didn't notice you come up from a manhole and shoot the barrel on the bandit technical. It explodes sending the two bandits inside flying with the vehicle.

You exit the manhole and start shooting at the bandits that were left. You kill one psycho by shooting him in the head. You see another run at you however Venom comes out and tackles him to the ground.

Psycho: I AM THE EATER OF YOUR BABIES!

Venom growls then bites his head off.

Venom: We are the eater of heads.

Venom sees a marauder peak and raise his weapon. A fire weapon.

Venom: Oh sh*t.

Venom retreats. Causing you to go wide eyed.

(Y/n): Doesn't exactly help our situation!

You grab the psycho axe and run behind the second bandit technical.
You take a few deep breaths. Suddenly a woman appears just above your vision catching you off guard.

???: Hey (Y/n).

(Y/n): Hey angel.

You slowly go to take a peak.

Angel: Hi Venom.

Venom: Hello Angel!

He excitedly shouts in your head.

The marauder comes out of cover and starts spraying down the bandit technical you were behind.

You recoil back only narrowing dodging a bullet.

Angel: Is this a bad time?

You hold onto the psycho axe tightly.

(Y/n); Kinda. What is it?

You hear the marauder's gun click. You quickly jump out of cover and throw the axe at him which lodges into his arm.

Marauder: Ahh! My good arm! Without it I can't fight!

You come out of cover and point your gun at the marauder.

Angel: A few minutes ago, a group of six vault hunters took out Wilhelm.

You look away from the marauder.

(Y/n): Really? That's good.

Marauder: How is this good you dick?! Without my good arm I can not eat, I can not kill and I can no-

Bang

You shoot him in the head then holster your weapon.

(Y/n): Now...you can't do anything. Anyway at least Wilhelm is off my back now.

You walk start to gather the bodies into a pile.

(Y/n): The vault hunters that killed him. They the same ones you saved from that train accident up at Liars Berg?

Angel: That's correct.

(Y/n): When did this happen?

Angel: A few minutes ago.

You check the bodies for loot.

(Y/n): Oh shit. What was he doing to get their attention?

You find more ammo for your pistol and head back to the manhole to pull out your duffel bag that was full of various ammo. From rockets to the smallest calibre.

Angel: He was guarding a Hyperion train rumoured to have a vault key in its inventory.

You nearly drop the duffel bag at this.

Venom: Vault key?!

You chuckle.

(Y/n): They're called vault hunters for nothing V. It's not just a fancy title. They are certified badasses.

Venom: Like us!

(Y/n): Yeah...I mean no. I mean...maybe?

Venom growls.

Venom: How can one be a 'maybe' badass?! We are either badass or not!

Angel giggles at the both of you bicker.

You zip open your duffel bag and start filling it with ammo.

(Y/n): Was their anything they got out of it?

Angel: Yes. A shield cell. It should give Sanctuary's shield an extended lifespan.

You zip up your duffel bag and stand over the bodies.

(Y/n): Good. Jack must be losing it that he lost his best man.

Angel: Yeah...Hold on (Y/n). I need to go.

(Y/n): No worries. Talk soon.

Her image disappears.

Venom: I like her.

A small laugh escapes your lips.

(Y/n): She's an A.I Ven. Everything about her is programmed. Even her personality.

Venom: Are you implying I only like her for her looks?

You shook your head dismissively.

(Y/n): No. I'm merely implying that if you want to date a computer chip then be my guest pal.

Venom: Technically WE would be dating her.

You look towards the bodies and walk towards them.

(Y/n): We have a mix of meat temps today Venom. Well done and blue.

Venom comes out and licks his lips with his elongated tongue.

(Y/n): Bon appétit.

Venom dives into his meal. As he was eating, a bandit survivor overlooks the carnage. He takes a deep breath then runs.

(Y/n); Oops. Got a runner.

Venom: Love it when they run!

The bandit looks behind him to see Venom gone. He looks up at the sky to see Venom rapidly descend upon him and everything goes black.

Timeskip~

You were setting up camp in a junkyard you found in the dust. You look at the car you were gonna sleep in tonight and sigh.

Venom: It isn't too late to start scoring big (Y/n) . We could make money and have a real place to live!

You blow on the fire to make it bigger.

(Y/n): We've been over this Venny. We don't want to endanger people. Innocent people.

Venom: What about that other town?

You look away from the fire.

(Y/n): Pfft! Lynchwood?

Venom: Yeah!

You chuckle at his suggestion.

(Y/n): The name fits the town. Every person who crosses the sheriff of that town end up dead. I also heard she's Jack's girlfriend so that's a definite no.

Venom: We could ask Angel where she's located. I mean she has to be in the most safest place on the planet if Jack hasn't caught wind of her yet.

You think about it. It's true, she's an A.I. Jack would definitely want to get his hands on her if he knew about her. Then again if he already knows and his forces can't touch her then she must have one hell of a defence system at her home.

(Y/n): Alright. I'll-

Angel: Guys!

Angel appears above your vision causing you to fall back in surprise after letting out a small yelp.

(Y/n): Jeez Angel. You scared me half to death.

Angel: (Y/n)! No jokes about death right now, please.

You were caught off guard by how stern she was coming off.

(Y/n): You alright Angel?

Angel went quiet. You stood up.

(Y/n): Hey. You can talk to me.

Angel was silent. Until she eventually started to cry.

(Y/n): Angel?

Venom: Why do you cry? Did someone hurt you?! Point us towards his pancreas and we shall devour it!

(Y/n): Venom! Angel seriously are you okay?

Angel: Boys....I really need your help.

You step forward and clench your fist.

(Y/n): God...you are in trouble?! Where are you? We're coming to get you.

Angel: No! Whatever you do not attempt to get me.

(Y/n): Angel! If you're in danger then I need to know so I can help! Now where the hell are you?!

Angel: I'm at the bunker!

Your heart sinks and your fist unclenches and falls to your side.

(Y/n); You're what..?

Angel went silent again.

Venom: The Bunker? Isn't that protected by Hyperion?

You nod confirming his suspicion is correct.

(Y/n): Angel...what did you do?

Angel: Remember that power cell the vault hunters found on the train?

You look to the side and let out a small laugh.

(Y/n): Wasn't a power cell was it?

Again, Angel was silent.

(Y/n): What happened to Sanctuary?

Angel: I-It's safe! They had the Firehawk who was able to get the city into the sky.

(Y/n): City into the sky? The Firehawk? What the hell has been going on?! What is Jack playing at? I thought he was only interested in me?

Angel: (Y/n). Jack intends to open a vault that contains a vicious monster. A monster called the warrior.

(Y/n): The warrior?

You sit down next to the fire.

Angel: Jack intends to rid Pandora of all the bandits and savages on it. He'll use the warrior just to do that.

(Y/n): What about the symbiotic army he had planned?

Angel: On hold. He thinks that with the warrior in his control, he can use it to get to you and Venom.

You sit back. This was a lot to take in.

(Y/n): Are you the reason?

Angel: Huh?

(Y/n): Are you the reason Hyperion, bandits and mercs have been on our ass for a full year!

Angel: Yes, but-

This time you kick the sand in front of you which causes the fire to go out.

(Y/n): Goddammit!

You rush to the fire in hope to save it but it already goes out. You sigh and stand up placing your hands on your hips and looking at the ground with Angel, who looked saddened by your state, still in your vision.

(Y/n): What's next? You're not an A.I just like you said you were?

She cringed which caused you to go wide eyed and throw your hands up in the air.

(Y/n): Are you f*cking kidding me?!

You kick a broken car. This unfortunately causes it's alarm, which was still functioning, to go off. You yell in pain and cover your ears as Venom lets out a screech at the same time. Venom eventually comes out and grabs the car. He then tosses it a good fifty metres away. He roars at the car as it lands in the sand which buries it just deep enough for the alarm to be muffled.

Venom pants and growls.

Angel: Boys...please listen to me. I can help both of you.

(Y/n): How?

Angel: There's a virus in your ECHO. Its how Hyperion have been able to keep track of you. I put it there when I first contacted you but I should be able to remove it.

Venom goes back inside your body and you pull out your ECHO device.

(Y/n): If you're trying to get on my good side-

Angel: (Y/n) please! I'm trying to do the right thing. Jack is moving fast, really fast. So we need to be faster.

You look down then focus on Angel.

(Y/n): Okay...how?

Angel: When I remove the virus, Jack is going to be asking some questions. However he's not an idiot so the first thing he's gonna do is send loaders to your last location.

(Y/n): Mhm, but you are giving us a heads up so we can book it before they land.

Angel: No. You both are going to stay and fight.

(Y/n): Uhh...what?

Venom: I like this plan!

Angel: I'm going to use the location data from the deployed loaders that come towards you to send a fast travel station.

You tilt your head.

(Y/n): Uhh...Wait. Isn't the idea to not get captured by Hyperion?

Angel: I have faith in you both.

You snicker.

(Y/n): Comforting.

(Y/n): Why can't we use a normal FTS

Angel: Sanctuary's new location won't show up on the others seeing as how your ECHO won't have its new location registered. That's why I'm going to send you a personal one. Don't worry though. Once you're in Sanctuary. Just get me to it's FTS and I'll be able to update its location to your ECHO and you'll be able to fast travel to it from any of the other FTS stations on Pandora.

(Y/n): Okay...Let's do it.

Angel smiles and disappears from your vision.

(Y/n): Get ready Ven.

Venom: Always ready!

Angel: Okay....and here.

You check your pistol making sure it's loaded and nod in satisfaction before holstering it.

Angel: We

Venom takes over and gets into a defensive stance.

Angel: Go...Executing Phaseshift.
