After recruiting Garrus, Shepard and the others began making their way to the C-Sec Academy in the Lower Wards of the Citadel. When they arrived, they saw the Krogan Wrex being confronted by a group of C-Sec Officers. 

Ashely: Great. Looks like C-Sec is already having a chat with our Krogan.

Garrus: He doesn't have his gun out so we got that going for us.

As Shepard and the others approached Wrex and the C-Sec Officers, the C-Sec Officers confronted Wrex.

C-Sec Officer: Witnesses saw you making threats in Fist's bar. Stay away from him.

Wrex: I don't take orders from you. 

C-Sec Officer: This is your only warning, Wrex. 

Wrex: You should warn Fist. I will kill him. 

C-Sec Officer: Do you want me to arrest you?

Wrex: I want you to try. 

At this point, there was a tense standoff between Wrex and the C-Sec Officers. Just as it seemed that it was about to escalate further, Wrex glances over to see Shepard and his team. The C-Sec Officer decides to let Wrex go and allow Shepard to handle the Krogan. 

C-Sec Officer: Go on. Get out of here!

Wrex walks away from the C-Sec Officers as they walk back to the C-Sec Academy. As Wrex approaches them, Lance becomes tense while Octus surveys the Krogan. 

Wrex: Do I know you, Human?

Shepard: My name's Shepard. I'm going after Fist. Thought you might want to come along. 

Wrex: Shepard? Commander Shepard. I've heard a lot about you. We're both warriors, Shepard. Out of respect, I'll give you a fair warning. I am going to kill Fist. 

Garrus: Fist knows you're coming. We'll have a better chance if we all work together. 

Octus: Agreed. I have calculated of odds of all possible scenarios in which raids are conducted on Fist's bar. The scenario with the greater odds of success is the scenario in which we all join forces. 

There was a moment of silence as Wrex glances at Octus. The Krogan gave a chuckle before speaking. 

Wrex: Tell this this, how many scenarios have me killing fist. 

Octus: Out of the 13 possible scenarios, nearly half of them result in Fist's death. The majority of them are due to you. 

Wrex: Good to know. 

Lance: I don't care what you or the Shadow Broker want with Fist. You can kill him for all I care, but not before he gives us what he needs!

Lance's aggressive words caught Wrex's attention as the Krogan glances over at Lance and surveys him. He quickly spots Lance's Galalunian sword. 

Wrex: Hhm. You must be Galalunian. Heard about what happened to your planet. I never cared for Galaluna, too soft to me, but I have the Mutraddi even more. 

Without hesitation, Lance punches Wrex in the face. The punch hurts Lance's hand while it does practically nothing to Wrex. There was a moment of silence before Wrex laughs. 

Wrex: Heh. You got spunk, kid. 

Lance simply glares at Wrex, still angry about Wrex's insult of Galaluna. But there was a degree of respect for the Krogan. Wrex then turns to Shepard. 

Wrex: My people have a saying: Seek the enemy of your enemy, and you will find a friend. 

Shepard: Glad to have you on the team, Wrex. 

Wrex: Let's go. I hate to keep Fist waiting. 

Shepard: Before we do that, I'll need to contact Admiral Anderson and update him on the situation. 

With that, Shepard intended to contact Anderson. Meanwhile back at the Embassy, Ilana anxiously waits for any updates on the mission. Anderson was quick to notice this. 

Anderson: You have nothing to worry about, Ilana. Shepard's a good soldier. He'll get to the bottom of this. 

Ilana: I...I know, Uncle David. It's just....it's just that I feel so helpless. 

Anderson: I suppose it's a natural reaction, but it's for your safety. If I know Saren....

Suddenly, Anderson got a call on the Embassy's holoterminal. 

Anderson: I hope you have good news, Shepard. 

Shepard(Holoterminal): We got the information out of Harkin and made contact with the C-Sec Investigator Garrus and a Krogan Mercenary named Wrex. We're currently heading to Chora's Den to follow up a possible lead from Fist. 

Anderson: Fist? He's connected in this? 

Shepard(Holoterminal): There's a Quarian who might have the evidence we need to expose Saren. Fist is our best lead on finding the Quarian. 

As Shepard says this, Ilana steps up.

Ilana: Do...do you think this evidence might have anything on the attack on Galaluna?

Shepard(Holoterminal): We don't know for certain, but we'll update you once we have the evidence. 

Anderson: Watch yourself out there, Shepard. Fist might be a little fish, but he still has a dangerous gang. 

Shepard(Holoterminal): We will. Shepard out. 

As the call ended, Ilana took a seat. Anderson walked up to Ilana and placed a hand on her shoulder to comfort her.

Ilana: Do you...do you think this will convince the Council to send aid to Galaluna?

Anderson: I hope so, Ilana. I know the evidence will expose Saren as a traitor. With luck, it'll get the Council to send aid to Galaluna. But for now, all we can do is wait for Shepard and the others to get the evidence. 

With that, Ilana and Anderson waited in the Embassy while Shepard and his team prepared their raid on Chora's Den to find the lead on the evidence needed to expose Saren. But what no one realized was that events had been set in motion that would thrust Ilana into the front lines.
