You gave me an umbrella when it's sunny day

You told me to use it when the sunlight comes out of my way

I can barely accept it because it's yours

What would you ever use when the rain pours down?

The rain drops its tears like a girl in pain

Your face smiling marked my thoughts as they run on my mind

I smiled at the thought of you but get worried somehow

What will you use this time when your umbrella's at mine?

I find you everywhere just to make sure you're fine

I walked around the surroundings, my eyes keeping your smile

Hours had passed and the rain poured so hard

Where are you, did you came home dry?

But then in the middle of hallway in school

I saw you with the girl laughing so hard with you

Your eyes are glimmering from the joy that's evident

You're with the girl I thought you already forgot

I stared at your umbrella from my hand, loosened the grip

And realized the main reason why you gave me this

You wanted me to use it to protect myself alone from the sunlight

So you can share hers with you when the drops of rain falls hard

You decided to give me your protection so that you can protect her yourself

I haven't acknowledged that till I saw you being happy and brave for her

While I'm here being protected but tears streaming down my face with the drops of rain

and every drop of it burnt against my skin with the excruciating truth of pain

I know now... I understand somehow

One day I will return this umbrella

With a sincere smile on my face

A smile with no pain but a smile with pure hope outgrows.
