WARNING TO SERENA: There is someone in this chapter who we love. Please try and stay calm as I tried to describe him the best that I can.

"For what?! Fighting Michael on my birthday!" I realised what I did and profusely apologised. "I didn't mean to snap. I'm just fed up. You'll be going off to record and tour soon and I don't know if I'll be able to do it". I cried out.

"Come with us then. We are going in a couple of days. You and Serena. Experience LA with us. I want you there". He said. I was considering it but right now. All I could think of was my birthday.

We got home and it was time for me to open presents. From Serena I got a pentagram necklace and a charm bracelet. From Ash I got a £50 iTunes gift card. Calum gave me a new black and red flannel. Michael gave me a new acoustic guitar. It was black with a bright green cross and a red infinity symbol. I was absolutely in love with it. "My present to you isn't as good as everyone else's but I've tried my hardest". Luke said. I nodded. He ran out of the room and grabbed his acoustic guitar. "It's a song and it's in early days yet and the boys haven't heard it yet but I think you'll love it. It's called Valentine. It's not going to be on this album but I'm hoping that it makes it onto the next one". He started playing and singing.

I was in shock. It was an insane song. "Luke. That was." I paused. "One of the best songs I've heard. Thank you". My eyes were brimming with happy tears. My glasses were falling down my face again.

"Hey. Don't cry. Smile. I wrote the majority of it but the boys helped". I smiled as he wiped my tears away and pushed my glasses up. He leaned in and whispered something in my ear. "I have something for you after school on Friday". I nodded.

"Fae". I looked over at Ash. "We have a group present for you and Serena wants to tell you something in a minute". I nodded as Serena came in with a present and her laptop. I was confused. She placed the laptop on the table next to me and I saw....

"Oh my god". I was shocked.

"Hey there Fae".I recognized the voice. I was looking at.... Alex Gaskarth, Jack Barakat and the Madden Brothers.

"Um.. Hi!" I smiled.

"Now. Ash said Serena was going to tell you this but..." Alex said.

"There is this massive tour full of superstars..." Joel added.

"People like Good Charlotte, us, 5 Seconds of Summer, Green Day, Twenty One Pilots, Sleeping With Sirens, Pierce The Veil and other amazing bands. We'll be touring the world so we are wondering if..." Jack continued.

"Wanna come with us as Amicorum to perform?". Benji said. I died there and then. I looked at Serena who was nodding her head off.

"Hells to the yeah!" I said. "When is it?"

"It will be after the boys are done recording their new album. We start in the LA and finish in Australia next year".

"Oh my god count us in then!". The guys hung up and I asked. "When are you guys heading to LA?"

"We're going Saturday. And you guys are coming with, courtesy of us and the Record label". Luke said and cuddled me.

"You'd better help me pack as I don't know what they wear in LA". I looked up at him.

"You can buy stuff in LA. We'll be staying at my place. You and I". He put my head on mine. I smiled.

"Just us?" I put my head on his chest and I could feel him nod. "Well I look forward to it". He kissed my cheek, smiling whilst doing so. That night was a night of hanging out in my room and the sloth cave trying to pack for LA. We had been there briefly for tour but I had never been to Luke's place. I had also realised that Luke and I had not actually announced our relationship. The fans loved that Serena and Ash were dating and Luke and I had been quite distant around fans which was what we had wanted. We had explained to our families to keep that secret on the down low until we announced it. It had been nearly seven months so now was the time. "Luke!" I shouted from my room.

"Yeah!" I heard him call back from downstairs.

"Are you busy?". I called out as I began walking downstairs.

"I'm about to go in the garden. Wanna join?". He called.

"Be there in a few minutes!" I called back and quickly got changed into a Metallica tank top, a black skirt and my converse. I was wearing my pyjamas previously. I grabbed my phone and left my cotton candy hair down. I then walked downstairs into the garden where Luke was hanging out. I walked over to where was hanging out. The swinging bench facing the estuary that we live by. I sat next to him and he put his arm around me. "Hey Luke. Can I ask you something?" He looked at me perplexed and nodded. "Can we announce that we are in a relationship?". He smiled as I said that.

"I was going to ask you the same question. I really want to take that step and show the fans our love". I put my legs on the chair and put my head on his chest. The sun was beaming down on us. Unusual as the weather in Wales was never great.

"How do you want to do this?" I asked.

"Instagram post? Get Serena to take a few pictures and maybe make a montage or something for the Amicorum channel". Luke suggested. I smiled at the suggestion.

"I'll text her now. I can't be asked to move". I grabbed my phone and decided to call her.

Hey Fae. What's up?

You are so lazy. I'll be there now. I can see you from the window with Luke

A couple of minutes later, she came out and was standing in front of us.

"We need you to take some pictures of us and help with revealing our relationship. You have full reins of this". Luke said to her and she grinned.

"We'll do it in the garden. Fae, we need to sort you out with some clothes. Luke. Put something nice on. I've got Fae to sort out". Serena said. We nodded and she escorted me to my own room. Serena got Ash to sort Luke out and Calum and Michael were filming it. Serena picked out a blink-182 crop top I had bought recently, a black leather skirt and some knee high boots. She curled my insanely bright hair so it was wavy and I let her go ham with makeup. She put blush, eyeliner, some brown eyeshadow, mascara and a a mauve lipstick. I quickly adjusted my glasses as she put my pentagram necklace and charm bracelet on me and took a step back. "You look gorgeous Fae". She said. I smiled as I felt good. Serena took me downstairs and into the garden. Luke saw me and his jaw dropped. He was wearing a white shirt, skinny jeans and converse. His short blonde hair was all messy and he had his lip ring in.

"You look perfect Fae". He said and put his arm around my waist. I blushed and he smiled.

"Speak for yourself". I said and continued blushing. Serena grabbed the camera.

"Guys. You look so cute. Can you stare into each other's eyes? Fae, put your hand on his chest". I put my right hand onto Luke's chest and looked up at him. He was looking at me and we smiled as Serena took the pictures. Luke then decided he wanted to pick me up and kiss me. He picked me up bridal style, me laughing, and kissed me. I heard the clicking of the camera but I didn't care. After what felt like forever, he put me down and we looked into each others eyes. "Ahem. Lovebirds! You guys will like these pictures". I went over and had a look. They were perfect. Luke grinned.

"What next?" He asked.

"Luke. Come with me. We need to have a chat. Fae, Go and do something". I nodded at her and walked into my room. I decided to film a cover as they were fun. I scrolled through songs that we'd done. I then went through my music. I wanted to do For Baltimore by All Time Low. I grabbed my acoustic and sat it on my bed. I grabbed the tripod and camera from my cupboard and set it up. I pressed record and then sat down and began to play.

I finished the song and took the memory card out of the camera. I popped it into my laptop and began to edit until I heard a knock on my door.

"Come in!" I shouted. Luke walked in. "Hey honey". I said. He smiled and sat on my sofa.

"Serena wants to do a livestream soon. You up for it? We can announce our relationship". He said.

"Sure. When?". I asked.

"Sunday. They'll be coming to the house in LA. She's tweeted off of the Amicorum page and I've done the 5sos page". I nodded as Luke said that. I went over to the sofa and had a cuddle. "I'm excited for this. We'll be answering questions, singing a little and then boom! Everyone knows". He sounded enthusiastic and I was excited.

-TIME SKIP TO FRIDAY-

My alarm went off at 7am again. I was excited for today as we had our acoustic Q and A with the kids and we were heading to LA tomorrow. More specifically at 2am. I turned the alarm off, reached to my bedside table and popped my glasses on. The curtains were letting in a little bit of light from the balcony and I was wearing a pair of pyjama shorts and a sports bra. Luke was asleep next to me and decided to cuddle up to me. "Luke. We've got to get up soon". I said quietly. I lifted my head and he put his arm around me.

 "Five more minutes. Stay here". He mumbled. I giggled.

"Okay. We've got to get up though". I said but as soon as I got cuddled up to Luke's chest, I heard the door swing open and four sets of feet clamber up the stairs. Then.. 

"WAKE UP BOTH OF YOU!" I jumped. Luke groaned and we saw Serena, Ash, Michael and Cal. 

"Open the curtains and then we will". Luke grumbled. 

"Are you both decent before we open the curtains?" Serena asked cautiously. 

"I'm in a bra and shorts and Luke is in his boxers. We are relatively decent". I laughed. She opened the curtains and I groaned loudly. They left the room laughing and I decided to get changed in the bathroom. I wore a pair of black, ripped skinny jeans and a tank top with The Beatles on and some black converse. I then threw my hair up into two low pigtails and did my makeup. Just an everyday look as it was only in a school. I went into my room and put Spotify on. Ocean Avenue came on and I started singing whilst I continued to pack my bags for LA. I then uploaded the video that I had edited the previous night on the Amicorum YouTube channel and grabbed my phone, bag and headphones. I made sure that my bag had my wallet in and my spare makeup. Just in case. I went downstairs with my bag and made some toast. The others were getting ready to go. We decided that Serena and I were going to take seperate cars. Serena, Ash, Calum and Michael in one and me, Luke and the acoustic guitars in the other. I put my new one that Michael had gotten me into the back as well as Luke's guitar, Michael's, Calum's base, Serena's flute and Ash's block of wood that he always uses. I also had the piano that I could play at the school. We had permission to park in the staff car park to unload and we could park in the spaces at the back entrance of the school across the road where the buses unloaded the kids. Serena carted the boys to her car.

"See you in a bit! I'll let Mrs Wright know that you are on the way!" She said and gave me a hug. I nodded as Luke came out.

"Garden doors are locked. The one in the pool room and the one in the kitchen". I thanked him and locked the front door. I then got in the car and began to drive out of the driveway. We had Dear Maria, Count Me In by All Time Low playing and we were singing along and just enjoying ourselves before this. "So have you done an acoustic set before?" Luke asked.

"Nope. In fact. Adelaide was our first show". I said to him whilst keeping my eyes on the road.

"Really?!". Sounding surprised. I nodded laughing. "Amicorum are doing a good job Fae. There is another reason as to why we want you in LA with us". Luke said. 

"Why's that?" I asked, intrigued. 

"Our label wants to sign you". He said and I could tell he was beaming. I stopped the car.

"Wait what?! You're joking?!". I was in a state of shock. He shook his head.

"It's not a joke honey". I started the car up again and was crying tears of joy. We got to the school and First Date was playing. We drove to the block that the music rooms were in and I stopped the car by one of the entrances. The sixth form canteen was a bad place to do the Q and A according to Mrs Wright. Lee came out of the entrance and I jumped out of the car and gave him a hug! 

"My potato friend!!" I yelled as I hugged him. He laughed.

"Did I tell you that your hair looks like sugar and I really want to eat it!" He said. I was crying laughing.

"Only you would want to eat my hair dude!" We both laughed and Luke came over.

"Lee my dude!" Luke hugged Lee and I did a little aww. I helped Luke and Lee unload the car and Lee and I went for a walk.

"So you and Lukeypoops then coming into school together!" He said as we walked down to the other side of the school to the legs tree. It looked like a woman's bottom half. Don't ask. I laughed.

"Yeah. Happy as can be!". I blushed. Lee worked out what I was saying and clapped.

"Knew it!". We stopped by the bench near the tree. Well. The one we hadn't broken in school. Our group broke a lot of benches in school. Never got caught though. "Do you remember when Beth knocked Chris out?" Lee laughed and I started chuckling. 

"Yeah and they are together now which is hilarious! Do you remember when I dumped Kyle over there?" I pointed to the hill with concrete steps. "Had a full blown meltdown and he just said kay and I screamed at him". Lee and I were dying of laughter. 

"Remember when we were all forcing you and Lucas Thomas to kiss behind the bike shed?!". It was strange coming back but these memories were funny. 

"And we used to slide down the hill all of the time and play tag".

"Those were the days". We laughed. We walked back up laughing. "I've got someone who wants to see you". Lee said and led me to the back of the science block. I knew exactly where we were going. He opened the 'giant vent' and walked up the stairs. I forgot this place existed. "Dude. She's here". Lee said and I heard shuffling. I knew who it was. I got up the top and saw him.

"Hey Whatsername". I cried so hard. 

"Hey St Jimmy". He hugged me and I just kept crying. St Jimmy was my best friend in school. Though four years younger than me. He was an actual legend. He had pale skin, brown eye and his hair was short and dyed red. His ears had green stretchers in. He was wearing a Green Day t-shirt, black jeans and black boots. Our spot was still the same. The teachers had found that we had moved into this spot above the science block and let us stay in there. We'd moved chairs, a sofa somehow, a mini-fridge and everything to make it into a home. It was exactly the same as I'd last seen it. 

"So. I'm sneaking into your acoustic set in a bit". He said confidently. I laughed. 

"I'll let you in hon. You know me". We spent two hours catching up, smoking a tiny bit of weed and sneaking out to Tesco to grab food for us and the kids as I knew that they would be missing lunch.

-SERENA'S POV-

Luke was panicking. "Where is she?". He kept saying. We had set up in the music room and needed to sound check. I rolled my eyes and Lee walked in. "Where is Fae?!". He asked, on edge.

"Chill. She's hanging out with a friend of ours". Lee said. He went to set cameras up.

"She'll be back soon". Knowing that she was skiving off. "Who's she with?" I asked Lee.

"St Jimmy!". Lee smiled. I was in shock. I cried happy tears. "Oh you know I'm seeing him".

-FAE'S POV-

We got back and I walked through the music department with Jimmy laughing and got to the room with a Tesco bag on my arm. We walked in and Luke hugged me. "I've missed you babe". I hugged him back. Serena and Jimmy hugged and Lee set Jimmy to work. "Where did you go?". He held me and I cuddled his arms.

"Tesco. I've got a bag of food for everyone if anyone gets hungry". Serena came over to take the bag. "Cheers Extraordinary Girl". I winked at her. She laughed.

"It's fine Whatsername". We chuckled. Luke looked confused.

"We had nicknames for each other here. Jimmy is St Jimmy, Lee is Jesus, Serena is Extraordinary Girl and I'm Whatsername. After the American Idiot album". Luke laughed. I left his arms to go on the piano. I did my vocal scales and piano scales. "Anyone want to do a practise run of a song?" I asked. Calum and Michael nodded. "Pick a song and who's being the lead?".

"Viva La Gloria and I'll be lead". Calum said as he grabbed his bass.

"That's cool. We can do backings can't we Fae?". Michael suggested. 

"I can do drumming!" Ash sounded desperate and got to his box. "Ready?". He asked and we all nodded. "One, Two, One, Two, Three, Four!" I began playing the chords and Calum started singing. Serena played her flute. We played and it sounded amazing! Jimmy, Lee and Luke were cheering at the end. We then worked out the structure of the set. It was three hours. An hour and a half of playing and an hour and a half of singing. We decided that I was to do a solo as they liked the sound of it. We set the chairs up, made sure the guitars were tuned and waited for the kids to get in. I grabbed the bags of food from the car and set it up. I put paper plates and plastic cups on the table at the back of the room and placed the food there. I tried to present it nicely. I bought a lot of Tesco sandwiches, multipacks of crisps, sweets, fizzy drinks and whatever a teenager could want. From right to left, Luke was on a chair next to me and the piano with a chair in the middle where I could play guitar. Cal was next to Luke, Mikey next to Cal, Ash next to Cal and Serena next to Ash. The kids came in at 11:30. "Come in! Come in!" Ash said as they trudged in. 

"We'll have lunch at 1pm. Please eat as much food as possible! We've got a flight to catch tomorrow and we can't take it all home with us! Do not be afraid of eating in front of us at lunch! Fae bought wayy too much but there's a lot of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free stuff!" Serena begged.

"Jimmy and I got carried away! I'm sorry!". I laughed. When the kids sat down, the lights dimmed and Lee put the spotlights on us. 

"Now. You guys won a contest. What did you guys do? Please state your name as we haven't had a list". Calum said. Someone put their hand up. Calum pointed.

"My name is Felicity. We had to come up with a cool marketing idea for the school. Four teams of five won". She spoke quietly. She must have been a year seven. Blonde hair and blue eyes. 

"That's insane! Congrats guys! We look forward to seeing the work at some point". Michael said. "Now. Time for introductions. For those students who have no idea who we are. So hey, I'm Michael. Lead guitarist of 5 Seconds of Summer and Pizza is my life".

"Aloha! I'm Calum, bassist for 5 Seconds of Summer and I am NOT Asian". He said and we all laughed.

"Hellooo! I'm Ashton, drummer of 5 Seconds of Summer and I'm a boomer according to kids these days". I burst out laughing. "Even Fae agrees". We all laughed. 

"Hi I'm Luke. I am the disputed lead vocalist of 5 Seconds of Summer and I'm young according to Ashton".

"Lukeypoops". Ash cooed. I laughed. 

"I'm Serena. I am the bassist and percussionist of Amicorum and I like blue and singing. I also used to come here". Serena smiled. I stood up from the stool. 

"Helloha! I'm Fae. I am the guitarist and pianist. I also sing, am young so Luke don't take that place off of me! I'm from here too and I'll probably spend my life down here so don't forget me or I will shout!" I laughed.

"You're also the shortest!". Michael added. I flipped him off and laughed.

"You guys decide now. Questions or songs?". Cal said. There was a muttering of a song. "Feel free to sing with us!". We played The Zephyr Song by the Chilli's with Cal on leads, Serena and I on the tambourine and Luke and Michael doing harmonies. We then found drums for Ash and moved them to his seat. He looked a lot happier. We then played Damned if I do Ya(Damned if I Don't) by All Time Low with Michael on leads. We were then asked multiple questions about how we started the bands, how we all met, what touring was like. Then Serena, Luke, myself and Michael got to sing California Dreamin' by the Mamas and Papas with me playing the acoustic, Cal playing Bass, Ash playing the drums and Serena doing the flute bit. We decided to stand for it. Serena, myself, Michael and Luke. I was very glad that Lee had been filming it because it was going on the web. Midway through, Luke looked at me and winked. I blushed but tried to hide it. It was then time for my solo. I had decided to sing Lucky People by Waterparks. I played the chords on my acoustic and sung. From the heart and I knew who I was singing it to. He started harmonising and playing the piano parts and it turned into a duet. It was so romantic. We finished and the kids were clapping. Our friends were clapping and we smiled at each other. We answered a few more questions. Then it came.

"Luke. Are you and Fae going out? I'm a music student and you guys had an insane connection during that song". Luke hesitated so I jumped in. 

"There is no relationship between us. Maybe in the future. Not now". I said.

"Well then kiss". The student said and smirked. The kids kept saying do it over and over again. 

"Come on then Luke". I walked over to him. "Please pretend it meant nothing. Please. I promise we'll release it on Sunday". He nodded and we kissed. We broke away quickly. Crying on the inside but staying stone faced on the outside. Serena could tell that I was struggling. 

"Guys. We've got a secret but if you tell a soul before Sunday then Mrs Wright will give you detention. Trust me. If you blurt anything, we will easily be able to trace it back to you". Serena was threatening the kids who promised that the secret was safe. She was telling them about our trip to LA and distracting them. I kissed Luke for more than a second. We broke off and I looked him in the eyes. 

"God you're gorgeous". He whispered and I giggled quietly, kissing him again. We then let go and acknowledged Serena by giving her a wink. We played a couple more songs. After that, we said goodbye to Langton for the last time. We hugged Lee and Jimmy as we left. We knew that we may see them again but bigger things were on our minds. We'd be off to LA in less than 12 hours. Where will life take us next?

Author's Note: Changed Chapter Nine completely by adding in the Q and A session. Also, I'd like to give a tribute to the person who inspired me to make the character of St Jimmy. Serena and I knew him really well and he was my closest friend for the longest time. Whether or not he'll be back in this story, I'll have to consult Serena. I'd like to tell you guys about this guy. He was the funniest, most laid back person you would have ever met and I'm proud to have known him for as long as I did. He sadly passed away from suicide on the 5th of August 2019 at the age of 15. I was a momma bear to him in school, kept him out of trouble, caused trouble with him and helped and St Jimmy is a tribute to him. We miss you hon x Heaven gained a new angel that day.
