My Honest Thoughts and Mini-Review On Marvel's M.O.D.O.K on Hulu

Alright,So to be honest with you all,I really wasn't expecting for Marvel and Disney to actually making something like this,I am of course talking about Marvel's most recent animated series that they have released which would be none other than Hulu's MODOK,I had just only recently watched a little bit of the show and I have to say is.....Who in the world asked for M.O.D.O.K to actually have his own show...?,No seriously, out all of the villains that Marvel could have used for an animated series based around them... they chose him out of all of them...

Now look,Don't get me wrong while I do really like alot stuff that Marvel has put out with them having both some good and some bad movies and shows under their belt,However,I am also a person who can also find enjoyment and the good in somethings that some or alot people might have hated or that didn't really sit right with others at the time like the Nicholas Cage Ghost Rider movies,Spider-Man 3 and even the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon that was on Disney XD for example or also Dragon Ball GT and the 2016 Ben 10 reboot (To an certain extent) ,even though those two are unrelated to Marvel but that is besides the point,my point is that it is not bad to like and see the good in things that some might considered bad or awful while others might hold it in a high regard, but with Hulu's MODOK cartoon, that's one of the things where I can find only a few good things in....but actually find to be...really bad in my opinion that is..

For starters,The MODOK animated series has actually take up more of a comedic focus and tone to which is actually not a bad idea,I think it is an interesting idea for comic or manga characters that might be heavily based with multiple storylines for them to actually have spin off that gives the characters a bit more of a humorous flare and take on the original source material, just as long as the parody is actually funny and interesting and along with that staying to how the characters and do them Justice while still making it way more funnier version of them like how TeamFourStar and LittleKuriboh does with their DBZA and YGOA series and their spins on the characters.Except the problem for that when it comes to this show isn't that isn't really that funny if at all really from how I see it,In fact there multiple times that they do have a good opportunity to make a pretty joke like with the fact that all of the A.I.M agents look the exact same while wearing their suits but they all have completely different voices from one another, making it difficult tell which one is which from the sound of their voice alone and they just use the opportunity to do anything with it,and another thing is that the main protagonist of the show,M.O.D.O.K himself of course, doesn't feel like or seem like well....M.O.D.O.K or at least not a great spin or representation on him,In the comics along with some of his previous animated iterations (Mimus Super Hero Squad-,Sort of in some areas anyway).M.O.D.O.K was more of a calculation type of villain,a scientist who had joined A.I.M to study and examine the properties of the Cosmic Cube a.k.a the Tesseract before being mutated into the person that he is today and while he is still kinda like that, the show's version him, both in the past and present timelines within the show is always flaunting his ego 24/7 but he never comes off as funny nor do the writers really do anything funny with that or the jokes about how massive the guy's head is,to me none of it really comes of clever, just kind of poor or even annoying at best or I guess worst is what I probably should say?

Although one aspect I can say that I do like for the show was that they did give M.O.D.O.K a family in the show which I don't mind because ai actually do like the idea of hero, villain and/or anti-hero characters getting married and having a shot at being a parent, raising a family and seeing for how they would try to handle it and what they would do in those type of situations and I actually like M.O.D.O.K's family but M.O.D.O.K himself during some of the situations his family sort of comes as a discount Peter Griffin in the more modern seasons of Family Guy,to me it's kinda off putting in that way,and ass for another thing that I'm kinda a bit neutral on is the show's art style and animation

The art style to me kinda gives off a bit of comic book meets Robot Chicken kinda vibe to it,and funny enough the people who animated this actually is Robot Chicken's animation crew,go figure.Which is also why kinda seems like if the Marvel and DC skits and specials that RC had but was made into it's own fully fledged show which is actually pretty cool on that part but at the small time, the show's version of M.O.D.O.K's design also was kinda off putting to me too,I mean yes I know the guy is human but everything in the other animated shows and comics always have more this mutant or unworldly kind of vibe to how his design but here the show's version kinda comes of as bit weird and the same kinda goes for how the design was done in Square Enix's Marvel's Avengers game but at least there sort of seemed somewhat natural.

I'm not trying to be hateful when I am saying this but this is just what I have thought upon watching this show and I'm not too sure I can that this show was really a memorable watch or not,If any of you like the show and enjoy it then more power to you, friends,I'm at least happy to know if you were able to find enjoyment in this show and like it but for me,it just isn't great I'd honestly would have preferred Disney and Marvel to make a continuation of some of there older cartoons like Avengers:Earth's Mightest Heroes,Wolverine and The X-Men,Spider-Man Unlimited or just anything remotely close to them or heck,if they were still gonna plan on making a cartoon for a villain character with an adult or at least R rated comedy twist to ot,than why not so one for maybe Doctor Doom or Magneto? or even try to revive that cancelled Deadpool cartoon that was planned to air on FX before the Disney and 20th Century Fox deal happened?,I'm just saying but again if you are able to enjoy the current M.O.D.O.K cartoon on Hulu then that is completely fine that you do,I just have a different view on it and how the show was executed,so my final verdict for Marvel's MODOK would be....a 4.5/10,To me it was an odd idea yet also seemed interesting to see for where they could go with it but not executed in a way that I would liked for it to.
