Ghosts Of Crystalix Resistance Base|Night

After a rigorous clash against this world's supreme ruler.Fraxas Prime.A roboticized version of a web swinger once believed to have fallen to the corruption Fraxas' reign' was cradling the unconscious body of his daughter,Keiko,who had sustained a few injuries when she was caught in the crossfire of the battle with raining kaiju and the overlord earlier in the night,intending on bringing her over to his bases' Medical Bay in order to get her healed and to give her some time to rest.

Zeke (Fractured Nexus): (How could I have been so stupid? I should have known that place would've been too dangerous for her to go. I never prepared her for this.)* He thought to himself as he looking down at Keiko with a mortified and distraught frown on his visor,Thinking about the situation that had occurred when je tried to step into the conflict to diffuse both Fraxas and Kudajira's wake of destruction* ( I'm sorry, sweetie, I'm so. so so sorry for what happened to you..No one deserved to go through this. Especially you.)

Bringing down the hood of his cloak as he vastly approched his home base,the mechanized agent looked up to one of the security cameras that was positioned right above the front door. Upon seeing then seeing two of them in it's field of view. The camera began scan his digitized face to confirm his identity before it can allow the father and daughter passage through the doorway.As the camera was completing it's scans,a small dinging sound could be heard with with a green light flashing on the side of the camera,signaling that the identity scan was proven to be vaild.

Security A.I: Agent ID Test complete. Welcome home,Harbinger-*The voice of the security system said happily, greeted Zeke,only for its sentence to be cut off by the cloaked android's intrusion*

Zeke (FracturedNexus): Vinnie. I thought we agreeded on just sticking with Spider-Man or The Spider. I don't use that 'Harbinger' name. It just isn't me* He stated with a deadpan expression on his visor,sighing on annoyance at hearing the codename he was given,making it appear that actually had some sort resentment towards that name*Could have sworn Serena and Luni re-programmed him to do that already. Must be a malfunction. *He mumbled to himself*

Security A.I (Vinnie):Oh r-right!,Yes! My apologies,Sir!

The security system said apologetically to him before proceeding to opening the door,allowing him to bring Keiko inside to get her checked up before making his way into the security and control room,where a certain pink,firery cloaked lady in a cloak could be seen sitting infront of a massive super computer that was surveying the surrounding area and the other corners of the base

(Serena Rose/ Reaper 66- Fractured Nexus Counterpart)

Serena (Fractured Nexus): Well you're a bit late. *She commented as she was sitting nearby the base's supercomputer,hearing the cyborg's footsteps as the metal door was opening wnen he walked inside*

Zeke (Fractured Nexus):You know I can't be everywhere at once.

Serena (Fractured Nexus):A little text or a call would have been nice, you know?

Zeke: (Fractured Nexus): Serena, I was only gone for about a few hours. Two at tops. What is it?*He asked her with an almost cold sounding and annoyed tone in his voice. Definitely a far cry from the more polite and overly-apologetic attitude he use to have before*

Serena (Fractured Nexus): Well sheesh! What's got you so moody today?  And I mean moodier than you usually are these days? Whatever happened to that dorky egghead who knew how to cut loose and joke? I miss him. *She asked him in a bit of a jokey and playful manner as she leaned back against her chair,resting her feet on the other side of the table*

Zeke (Fractured Nexus): He had too many responsibilities to juggle at once and had to grow up?* He remarked while rolling his eyes in annoyance, letting out a frustrated sigh* Look. Will you stop
playing with me right now? This is urgent!* He interjected*

Serena (Fractured Nexus); *she sighs light while she was twirling around in her chair a bit to maneuver herself in his direction.But before she could say anything,her eyes began to widen in shock upon seeing the unconscious Keiko in his arms* Oh my god!...What happened!?

Zeke (Fractured Nexus): Before she was attacked by a few monsters and some of the overlord's soliders were out there running a muck. She just got done with her shift before the entire place went to shambles. I only barely got her out of there.*He explained,sounding rather guilty as he said so*

Serena: Poor baby.*She says while walking over to him and then looked down at Keiko curiously,taking notice of all of the damage that she had to endure at ground zero, multiple bruises and cuts were present all over her body. She then proceeded to pick up the purple haired girl, taking her from out of Zeke's hands* I'll bring her into the Medical Bay right away .

The automaton's only response to her was a slow, resounding nod of his head, uttering a " Thank You" as he watched the pink cloaked reaper run off to one of the patient rooms with his daughter before he proceeded to follow her inside of the room, a loud thumping sound echoed throughout the halls of the medical bay when he was trying to make his way into one of the rooms. Feeling on edge. Zeke decided to respond to this call for action by reactivating his web shooters and cannons just in case of there being some kind of threat lurking about. As the sounds were beginning to grow louder as it inched closer to his location, an enormous pair of green eyes shined through the dark as an unusually large,juvenile brown, rocky creature stepped forward into the light.

???:H-Hey! What's good boss!?* The sentient boulder shouted out, having just returned for his nightly patrol from the west side of the city,, causing Zeke to jump back out of surprise from hearing his voice before he aimed his cannons towards the behemoth before unveiled himself from the shadows of the room,despite him looking like the kind of creature that would be considered a raging brute.He surprisingly wasn't as burdish as some may have perceived him, He seemed to have very friendly and approachable aura to him*

Zeke (Fractured Nexus)* He rose an eyebrow once he had realized who was that he was talking with right now. Which just so happen to one of his scouts, Lockley Jones,who had recently just returned after finishing his patrol on the southwest side of the city. Seeing the humanoid rock creature standing infront him,the cyborg let out a sigh of relief as he deactivated his cannons.* Oh,It's just you.Lockely. How did everything go on the patrol ?

Lockley: The mission was a success! Matter of fact. Me and Ms.Kusanagi were able to snag one of these babies from some knuckleheads in the overlord's battalion. Once we got some of the people out to safety!

*He exclaimed with a warm, massive smile on his face as he was reaching into a sack that was holding his hands before taking out the item in question that he retrieved. Revealing it to be a Chaos Emerald

Lockley:With beauts like these.We may just be a few steps closer to beating Kudajira, maybe even stoppin' Fraxas too and saving everybody.* He proclaimed with confidence.

Zeke:So I hope, Lockley, So I am hoping...*He replied as he glanced down at the blue Chaos Emerald before picking up from the gentle giant's hand to examine it to make sure if it was the real deal before putting it away*

Lockely: So uhm, boss? Could I ask you something?

Zeke (Fractured Nexus): Kid, You don't need to keep calling me boss.I think we've known each other long enough for you to just call me by my name. We're equals. No need to be so formal. *He stated,closing his eyes softly* But what was it you wanted to ask?

Lockley:*He was pointing two of fingers together nervously as he was looking down at his mentor* Is everything going okay.I mean, You haven't really been talking much lately. And while I was coming in.You looked like you just ran into a ghost.* He commented in a bit of worried sounding tone.Fearing something might have been eating up at his teacher,like there was something he was hiding.*

Ghost.....A ghost. That one word echoed througout the cyborg's mangled head,repeatedly bouncing from place to place in the deepest corners of his mind,getting it's moving like it was his own personal film reel,playing out multiple visions from a once distant past,showcasing the android back when was fully human, in the days when he was still a wide- eyed and adventurous kid,wanting to live the life of a hero with his band of friends from unlikey places,his little sister and a masked man in a black and white cloak that he thought owed to being the person he grew into.

Another slide began to reel in. Showcasing two different scenarios. One where the masked man  was sitting outside with the young wall crawler,while the other one invisioned a slighty older version of him.Weakily crawling out of a burning house with a baby being held in his arms,trying to shield it from the flames as the mechanical overlord stood infront of him before these words were said

"Tell that girl your with that you love her. Tuck her in every night,greet her every morning and try to get her to understand. Nothing was built to last forever. No one gets a free pass.A golden ticket to escape the doom that cloakes itself in your shadow. Every one deserves a second chance. But not all is as lucky as the ones who recieve it.

If you have to go down fighting. Do it for those who can't protect theirselves. Do it for those who that you hold dear to your heart and make it clean! Even if the obstacles you face ever grow too difficult. Never give up on who you are or the ones you wish to protect. But you must do so without losing sight of yourself. You should know every life you protect is precious."

As the film reel of the solider's memories began to fade out to black . A frown slowly began to appear on Zeke's metal face as he cuts his eyes over to the direction of a photo of his family from before everything had changed until he eventually redirected his attention back to the young giant.

Zeke (Fractured Nexus):Tell me this, Lockley. Have you ever felt like you've been questioning everything you ever knew. What you believed?* He asked him*

Lockley:No, I can't say. Ever since you and Mrs.Rose haf recruited me, the only thing I felt there could be was hope for all of us.

Zeke (Fractured Nexus: 15 years ago, Before Fraxas had got to me. I made a promise. a pledge. Both to my wife and my mentor. To protect those who didn't have the strength to fight on their own. To protect my daughter no matter what danger came my way and to never leave her side. *He admitted,sounding rather heartbroken and torn,drooping his head down as walked past him* I feel like I failed them both...

Hearing this confession made the gargantuan rock creature's eyes widen a bit in surprise as he looked over to his mentor as this made him wonder what was that could have that made him spill his guts to him like this .

Zeke: Earlier today when I went into the city to rescue Keiko. I found out that one of the people that tried to hurt her wasn't just that doppelganger posing as my friend and Kudajira. But my wife too...*He growled as his started to sound to more noticeably monsterous and saddened. Punching his fist into the wall. Making a  massive crater in the middle of where his fist had damaged it*

"All I ask. Is for a place for my daughter to live in peace. For her to get the chance to have a normal life. Without her having to feel like there's always a target on her back or worrying that I might never come back home to see her....IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR!? IS IT!?!?* He cried furiously, a crimson and black aura appeared around his body as his eyes were flashing with a bright red light repeatedly as he yelled to the sky,wondering if everything he was striving was ever enough. Lockley slowly walked over to Zeke while laying his hand on his shoulder, turning to him before offering to give him a hug. He felt like his boss- No. His friend needed one. A shoulder to cry on.

Zeke (Fractured Nexus): Nothing I do is enough. I-It never is...*He sobbed, falling into the giant rock creature's embrace as he hugged him*

After hearing all of the shouting and rupturing from the other room. Serena started to walk out to see what was going on outside before being met by the sight of the resistance leader slipping onto the floor and collapsing to his knees,slumping his shoulders as he was crying in Lockley's arms. For her,This was the first time in the last 5 years that she has ever seen him acting this vulnerable under pressure.Thinking that he may have needed some comfort,she decided to join into the hug in the hopes of cheering up her teammate.
