"Simon do you  remember something more from the night ?" , the case was getting tense , each new information was necessary and was intimidating . The only people in the investigation room were Syahi and her client Simon who claims that his wife is a psycho and adding more to it , she's a murderer too . The man says that his wife has killed his brother , Andrew , when he himself was not at home . 

Syahi was a renowned lawyer , everyone in the city knew her for her hard work , honesty and bravery . She owned the prestige , she deserved it . 

The accused case was being handled by another great lawyer Aarush Grey , yes , he was half Indian and half American . born and brought up in America he did not know  much about India but as it was his mother's place he do had visited it in his childhood summer vacations . 

People were fond of him, girls carpeted their hearts in front of him only to be crushed sooner or later . 

Syahi had fought 42 cases in her carrier till now , and did not fail even one of them.
It was true to herself and to the world. The taste of justice and transparency she brings to the court has always been appreciated and believed.

But this time she was standing against a much more experienced and well known lawyer.  He was known to be a man of aura , an aura of maturity and chill together, which was basically admirable to many. Aarush was 29 by age.  Dashing young man with a well spoken behaviour.

He was fighting the case of the accused lady,  named Taylor.

She was in her early 30's but still attractive.

"Ma'am were you really molested......or you're binding a story in order to escape your punishment? " Aarush inquired in a tone that would even frighten the demons,  " I am not lying sir,  whatever I have said is true " , the lady though crying, said with an eye contact with him.  This,  this is what I needed,  he told to his head. 
The eyes of the lady did match her honesty but this was not just sufficient to prove her innocent or make the right win.

" well ...we'll look to it, it will soon be out... if you're true or not " , his  brow rose up to the last statement.

This case looked interesting to all the other lawyers in the city, not only because of the actual matter but also due to the fact that the two lawyers of the town who were famous for their love towards justice and righteousness, were actually against each other, knowing that one party among them was going to be proved wrong .
Who was going to get failed this time was more of an important discussion among the people rather that what was the justice.

Picking up her files Syahi moved to the court room , signaling Simon and her assistant Tiffny to follow . It was going to be the first hearing today , a big day again . Further investigation and decisions were totally depended on what was the result going to be today 

"Nice to meet you Miss Aharya , I'm Aarush Grey " , he approached her finally just before her entering in the court room . " Mr. Simon you go inside and settle down , I strictly suggest you to avoid any conversation with the accused , I hope you maintain the protocols, Tiffny please guide him " she turned back and commanded , clearly ignoring to the words of the man standing in front of her . "Ok that was rude , I hope you  know Miss Aharya " , Aarush playfully commented , it was clear enough that he did not mind the little insult but Syahi was affected . " oh ! I'm sorry Mr. Grey I didn't mean to low you , I was just stuck up in my head " , she admitted . 

well it's said that we should never show our selves weak in front of our competitors , our oppositions , and Syahi has actually never showed it before but today it just slipped . Her conscience somehow allowed her to be this weak in front of a stranger she hardly knew . 

"You shouldn't have actually admitted it in front of me , I hope you know what i mean " , Aarush told her with a little smirk , " oh I'm sorry , I guess I should go " . it was just in a reflection that she tried to escape this conversation with him and moved to the court room . " Hey ! Miss Aharya , All the best " , that wink he passed to her , it just made her stuck in her track . 

All that she could she respond was a slight nod .  

He passed onto her and took his respective seat, and she took her's . 

one hour , two hour , three hours and finally one hour more . Uhhhfff .....it was long , the first hearing was not supposed to be this long usually but what was even expected when these two lawyers were in the same room arguing and presenting their sides with the best of efforts . 

" Mr. Simon , the case looks to be on our side , let's hope for the best , I will call you soon for the next investigation , be prepared " , she cleared to her client . " you were good " , a voice came , all relaxed " thanks , you were too " , she admitted , " So this is why people say you are hard to  defeat " , this time it was him " well ... then same goes to you , people say the same for you too " ... she said with a small smile that came out of no where . 

" I think this time I'm going to get defeated by a beautiful lady " , the flirting didn't look unhealthy for her , it was clear from her response of a little lively giggle that she didn't know existed in her personality .

"Let's see Mr. grey " , she nodded , " you can call me Aarush " , the first conversation and already so frankness , well it didn't look bad though , " ok so let's see Aarush " , she smiled , " and you can call me Syahi " ..... " Let's meet soon for the next hearing Syahi " , again that wink , but this time it resulted to one more thing , a blush .

Their first meeting , lovely right !? , short and sweet ,  and memorable too .

Next hearing was after a week , a lot to prepare and a lot to find . Syahi was in a hassle to bring the right out at any cost . She had start to feel that there was something she was lacking but she couldn't figure it out . 

It was a huge responsibilty , she has always felt that , then today why ?! , why do she feels so stuck . 

Okay , so next is the black pepper on the list , it was a lovely evening and she was out for a grocery shopping . Sometimes things don't really work , if you are too focused , was her new discovery recently . So she decided to go out for a mind refreshment walk . 

works come first though , " Tiffny  , I want those papers tomorrow positively and ask Mr. Simon to come to my office at 10 in the morning " , saying mind refreshment it did not meant complete off from work, the profession was demanding after all . 

"hey nice to see you here Syahi " that was Aarush , she was not expecting him to be here . " Ahh...nice to see you too " she smiled , she really felt good to see him . 

" So is it your every time supermarket? " , she asked , she wanted to know . " Ahh...I guess yes " ,that smile said something , something she didn't understand . " oh ! nice ...well it's mine too", she admitted . 

Nice thing to know right .

"are you done with the  shopping ? " he inquired , " yeah , just the payment part is left , I will get it done soon " ......" i will be waiting " , he will wait for her , oh! , he will wait for her ?! , strange but didn't felt wrong . Rather it was a good feeling , someone would wait for her , someone she hardly knew but felt like knowing him since long . The warmness , was it even right?! , but it doesn't feel wrong Syahi , she admitted in her head .

The evening was good , went good with a tranquil sunset walk in the nearby park .  

"so do you live here alone ?" , that was a new information to Aarush , " yes and I guess it's been long " ....."oh! " was all that came to his tongue . 

"And you ? " , she asked , " I live with my mother , she's an Indian " , he said with a smile , oh! that looks pretty on you , that smile, you cute, Syahi! what the f**k are you even thinking damn it , she  stressed to her head . 

"nice to know " , she nodded . "Wait ! she will be so happy to meet you , she loves meeting people from her country and you wear ethnic too ,she will love it , would you like to meet her any time ?! " , was it this exciting !? , he making her meet his mother , well it did look good , it felt good . "I would be pleased to meet her " , she nodded with a smile , a warm one . 

It was already two hours past sunset and they were still on the market street , going  back to their apartments when suddenly , " do you really think you are supporting the right ?", this time it was her , " I mean Taylor , do you really think she ain't a murderer ?" , she wasn't sure if she was supposed to discuss this with the lawyer against her , but no she felt like sharing it with a close friend , " I guess we both want the same , we both want the right to win , and no innocent should get the  punishment " , his eyes , were they this  greyish blue all the way or it's just that she noticed them just now , but they are beautiful , they were really deep , deep to the level , that drowned her for a frenzy . "And I feel , Taylor is true , she isn't lying " , he thought for a second , looked at her down and again started " Syahi , i don't want you to just run the case , think from both the sides , be prescience Syahi , see through the truth , i really hope we will make it happen together " , that smile , oh his smile ,  it came more beautiful this time , she could already feel her self falling . " Yes , i think we should get going now " , her reply was a courteous one . 

A handshake , a simple touch and moments of eye lock . this didn't look professional at all , but it felt good , it really felt good . Reason not sure , but there was definetly a feeling Syahi couldn't understand , or she didn't want to .
