Chapter Five: The Journey Actually Begins...Kind Of.
"How close are we? I. Am. Exhausted." Jerome said, before letting out a loud yawn.
Adam just rolled his eyes, looking back at the book in his hands. "That's the trillionth time you've asked me that." He said with a hint of annoyance in his voice. "We aren't much closer than when you asked two minutes ago!"
"Hmph... 'few hours trip', what was that lion talking about?" Jerome scoffed.
Adam growled as continued to study the map in the book. "Well, whose fault was that for getting us lost? You're the one who said that we didn't need directions because we had a map!"
"It's not my fault that all of these dang trees look the same!"
Adam and Jerome had left during the night, like the others had advised, but a certain bacca misread the map and got them completely lost. They knew they were still in the Shadow Woods, with the black and gray leaves, but besides that, they had no clue where they were, and because of that, the map was useless. Regardless, Adam still tried to piece together where they were in the map. The map was fairly simple, not labeling any specific towns or the like on the paper.
Adam groaned in frustration, slamming the book shut. "Let's face it, we are totally and utterly lost." He said with a sigh of defeat.
Jerome nodded in agreement. "Yeah, and not only that, but I am starving!" Jerome whimpered, holding his stomach. In response, his stomach growled loudly, making Jerome whimper more.
"You are seriously smelling like steak right now, just saying." Jerome said, as he sniffed, his wet, black nose twitching. Jerome flinched at that, reaching up and grabbing his short muzzle with one hand with a groan. "Curse my carnivorous sniffer."
"Well, I don't think we're finding a Chipotle in the middle of the woods." Adam said, his stomach growling as well. "Let's sit down and take a short break."
Jerome didn't make any opposition, instead letting himself fall into the lush grass on his back. He shut his eyes and sighed, pulling an arm over his eyes. Adam sat down crisscross next to Jerome, who had started to pick at the grass next to him. "So, while we're sitting here, does that book have anything on the guys we're going to fight?" Jerome said, looking up at Adam.
Adam shrugged, then opening the book and flipping through it. About in the middle of the book, Adam found it. "Yeah, they have stuff on all of them. Who do you want me to read about?"
"I dunno, how about the page on the guy we're after? Gekidosakura, right?"
Adam nodded, searching for the right page. He stopped at a page that was written in blue ink, the top of the page reading "Gekidosakura" in big loopy letters. There was a picture of what appeared to be a unicorn on the bottom of the page. Adam began to read the page.
"Gekidosakura; Sage of the Blossoms
Gekidosakura is the archer of the Knights of the True Blood, and harnesses the powers of the Sun and the moon in his weapon, the Daybreaker. His arrows are made up of light, but are still razor sharp. Though he is usually known for using his sharpshooting in combat, the edges on the front of his bow are as sharp as swords, and the bow breaks in half to form two curved blades.
Gekidosakura is usually docile, and uses his wit and wisdom to solve problems. Ironically, his name's meaning is 'raging cherry blossoms'. However, he does sometimes have fits of madness and rage, in which he usually goes berserk.
Gekidosakura is also known for his magical capabilities. He can perform complicated and strong spells, some of which only he can perform. He is also granted with occasional visions of the future, which often spurs his rages.
Like every member of the Knights of the True Blood, he is represented by a certain animal, which his armor is modeled after. Gekidosakura is represented by a Unicorn, in accordance with his wisdom and strong connection to magic.
Armor Color: Blue
Location: Sakura Forest; where the tree of blue sakura awaits."
Adam looked up from the book, a look of confusion on his face. He looked over to Jerome, who had a look of confusion on his face as well. "Mayonaka sure went in depth about this, huh? Who do you think it is?" Adam asked Jerome.
"I think..." Jerome said, his voice trailing off for a moment. "I think it's Ian." Seeing the look of confusion still on Adam's face, he explained. "Well think about it, the book sure made it seem like Gekidosakura is the smartest of the knights. You and I know that Ian is like, a hundred trillion times smarter than the rest of us. It also said that he was docile, and witty. Sounds like Ian to me. It even said something about random fits of madness, kinda like how Ian acts all derped out in his video intros. Besides, a unicorn?" Jerome snickered. "Totally fits him. Don't you... agree?"
When Jerome looked over to Adam, he was fast asleep on his back with the book still lying on his chest, rising up and down with Adam's breaths. Jerome smiled, and let his eyes close as well. The sun was just beginning to rise, and Jerome remembered Bryn saying that mobs were very rare to see during the day. Not that Jerome or Adam had seen any during their walk anyways.
Jerome sighed. He did not want to sleep, not while he knew that his friends were in danger. However, sleep was already falling over him, and he reluctantly let his mind fall into it as well.
I'll find you biggums, just please wait a little longer...

"What do you mean Kaedeono was defeated?!?" King Arthur roared, his steel gauntlets digging into the black velvet of his silver throne. His glowing green eyes narrowed from underneath his helmet as he stared maliciously at the zombie messenger in front of him. King Arthur let out a frustrated roar and sprang up from his throne, his armor clanking as he pushed aside the zombie and walked out of his throne room and into the hallways of his castle.
The castle's interior was bleak, the combination of obsidian walls and dimly lit redstone torches casting a ghostly light to the corridors. The king stormed through the halls, the mobs wandering them either bowing or dodging out of his path. King Arthur went found a set of spiraling stairs leading down under ground, and he went down them. They led to the dungeon.
The king nearly took the steel door off of its hinges as he threw the door into the dungeon open, the door clanging loudly against the walls. The dungeon held six large cages, all of which were littered with heavy obsidian chains. There were also chains hanging from the ceiling, but they lay unused. A steel table was in the corner, with mysterious tools and flasks laying upon it. Five of the cages were open, and held no occupants.
But one still held a prisoner.
King Arthur walked over to the shut cage, gazing at the prisoner coldly. The prisoner within returned the stare with malice.
"I swear when my friends find me, and they let me out, I will personally bash your face in with your own helmet!" The prisoner yelled, a sense of rebellion and fury in his eyes despite the countless blade wounds on his body, all of which King Arthur had inflicted.
"You are in no condition to defy me you worthless mortal. You're lucky. I still need you yet."
The prisoner growled, and tried to throw himself at the bars of the cage, but the chains attached to him kept him from doing so. He yelled in pain from his wounds as he fell back to the ground, but he still stared at the king warily and angrily as the king laughed.
"Don't try to escape mortal. There's a reason I locked you up more than the others." The king said as he walked only inches away from the cages bars. "Your friends' hearts were weak, weak enough to be possessed by those useless Knights of the True Blood. You however, are different. You are special. Your heart is stronger than anyone else's that I have ever seen. Your friend who escaped... Excalibur's new wielder... For reasons I don't understand, your heart is even stronger than his. Your heart is of pure light, even more pure than his. This is why the Knights of the True Blood are too weak for you. Only a strong soul will be able to take over your heart... This is why the soul fusion took more than one attempt for you. Even I must admit, I am impressed by your power."
Even though the prisoner couldn't see it, King Arthur was smiling grimly under his helmet.
"You mortal, are the strongest of your... 'Team Crafted' friends.
You have the heart of pure light. So I shall corrupt it with a soul of pure darkness. You mortal, are worthy enough of being host to the strongest knight to ever have lived. Possibly stronger than me. I shall make you the ultimate warrior, under my command. I wasn't planning on turning you so soon, I don't want to diminish your power, but I fear that Excalibur's wielder might be able to best the True Blood knights..."
The prisoner's eyes widened in fear, and the king let out a cackling laugh.
"You shall become Karitenshi! THE WARRIOR OF ULTIMATE DARKNESS!"
