Y/n's approaches Schmitt's place as he goes up to his door and then he knocks on his door. A while later the door open and Schmitt came out.

Y/n: Yo what's going on?

Schmitt: Um good? Who are you?

Y/n: My name isn't important right now I have some bad news for you. You know someone by the name of Caynz?

Schmitt: Uh yeah I know him. Why?

He then goes on to explain to him the situation and how Caynz is dead and it involves around a ring that gotten many years back when they were apart of the Golden apples guild.

This stun Schmitt as he takes it all in and after Y/n is done explaining Schmitt just stood there, terrified and panicking as he looks up at Y/n and ask him.

Schmitt: (scared) Is it just me?

Y/n: There is Yolko. We think it would be a best interests that we all gather together and talk about on possible players who maybe have a target on you two for the ring.

Schmitt: (scared) Y-Yeah. Sounds like a good idea. I'll be there soon.

He heads inside to gather his stuff while Y/n has a feeling that Schmitt is acting suspicious a bit but either way he takes him where Yolko is at.

(Sometime later)

They all gather within a private building with Schmitt and Yolko sitting on their chairs, facing each other as Yolko has her back on the window behind her as Y/n lays out the possible suspicious.

Y/n: Okay so during my adventures in this world, I met many parties or players that kill other players for either for the fun of it or to steal their loot. There are two possible builds that could be prime suspects. We have the Laughing Coffins. Those players love to kill other players and usually they blend into the shadows and hide in dark areas or spooky locations. According to Yolko, your team didn't know who killed Griselda so its possible it could be them.

Asuna: Let's not forget someone within the Golden Apple may have killed her.

Y/n: That is true. But there is Grimlock, Schmitt, Caynz and Yolko.

Schmitt: Then it must be Caynz then! It must be him right?

Y/n: Maybe. But it could be you or Yolko. Now to our next possible guild party are Titan's head. They kill other players and all sort of crimes so they can gain the upper hand in the game. It's a possibility they lower Griselda into a trap and kill her for her loot and the ring.

Kiko: So we have both the Laughing Coffin and Titan's head.

Y/n: There is others party guilds or other players that could be suspects but as it right now, Laughing Coffin and Titan's head are the possible suspects.

Yolko: But what if your wrong.

They all turn to Yolko as she gets off the chair and moves backwards, closer to the window while she goes on to say.

Yolko: (scared) What if it is Griselda coming back for vengeance. She could be thinking of killing us both right now. We.......We might be doomed!

Schmitt: (scared) You can't be serious Yolko! Listen to yourself, your losing your mind!

Asuna: Let's all calm down here.

Y/n: Asuna is right. (Turn to Yolko) Yolko come and sit down and we can-

Suddenly something hit her from behind as she slowly turn, revealing a knife behind her back which shocked everyone as she then fell through the window as Y/n sad Kiko race out, trying to save her but it was too late as she hit the ground as her died and her body disappeared. Y/n looks over to see the cloak figure as he then leaps off the roof which Y/n jumps high over and lands onto the same roof and goes after him.

He chases down the assassin through the street as he then leaps onto the street and was on hot tail as the assassin try to lose him with a crowd of people but he go through them and parkour over objects as he sees the assassin turn a corner.

He catches up to him as he turn a corner but it was a dead end and the assassin is gone.

Y/n: (thought) Crap! He got away.

(A while later)

We see Asuna, Kiko, Silica, Pina and Y/n at the park as the girls were having some sandwiches while Y/n stood there and thinking on who that cloak figure was.

Kiko: Wow I never see him get this serious.

Silica: When it comes to someone targeting people without any reason, he won't stop until he take this player down.

Kiko: I see. You'll think Schmitt is alright going to Hill of the Cross?

Asuna: He wanted to since now he believes Yolko's theory.

Kiko: But that's impossible. A player can't be brought back to life as a ghost. That's impossible.

Silica: Yeah. I hope Schmitt will be alright. Its kinda sad now all alone without his old friends.

Kiko: Yeah......can't blame him.

Kiko turns to Y/n still thinking which she called out to him.

Kiko: Hey detective! How's about you take a break and eat something!

Asuna: Don't be rude.

Kiko: (smirk) Like you can convince him better.

Asuna gets mad which she knock Kiko's sandwich off of her hand and it lands on the floor and disappeared which Y/n noticed and then he realised something.

Kiko: Oh come on Asuna!

Asuna: That's what you get.

Y/n: Holy crap.

They all turn to Y/n as he stared odd to somewhere and then started running.

Asuna: Hey Y/n!

He continues on running which confuses the girls a bit but seeing that he may have something, they decided to follow him and see what's going on.

(Later)

We see Schmitt at the Cross of the hill as he approaches Griselda's grave as he collapse on his knees, bowing his head to show mercy to her, thinking he can be speared by the vengeful spirit of Griselda.

Schmitt: I'm so so sorry Griselda. I.......I know it was wrong but.....you have to understand......I didn't mean to kill you. I figured.....I can hire a player to take the ring off you and I can keep it just in case. I didn't know he was planning to kill you. Please forgive me!

He continues apologising to her as he soon felt something behind him which made him chill down to his bones as he slowly sat up and slowly turns around to be faced with two cloaked figures.

Schmitt screams, thinking they are the spirits of Griselda and Grimlock as he crawled backwards and begging for his life.

Schmitt: (scared) I'M SORRY! PLEASE LET ME LIVE! I DON'T WANT TO DIE!!!!

The two cloak figures were silent and continues to stare at him when someone behind them spoke.

???: Nice one you two.

Schmitt opens his eyes and looks over to see Y/n just catching his breath and once he catches his breath he stood up straight and said.

Y/n: (smirk) I have to say. You two really did plan this out very good. You may have tried to fool me but i see through it, Yolko and Caynz.

Schmitt: What?

Then to his shock the two cloak figuresremove their hoods, revealing Yolko and Caynz very much alive which shocks and confuses Schmitt.

Caynz: How did you know?

Y/n: (smirk) Teleport crystals. A rare item that allows players to teleport a short distances away to their previous location. While you can't actually die in a safe zone, you can teleport within a safe zone and surprisingly enough.....the way it is activated is similar to how a player died. I figured this our when Kiko's sandwiches was dropped and how it's similar to how a player died. You both use teleport crystals to feak your deaths for one reason....vengeance.

Yolko: That's right. We wanted to know who killed Griselda and wanted to know why.

Caynz: We believe that Schmitt is the reason so we decided to fake both of our deaths so it will scare Schmitt so much, he will confess.

Schmitt: So all of this was to just for me to spill the truth?

Yolko: Yeah. It was.

Caynz: We always knew your behind of Griselda's death.

Schmitt: I'm......I'm sorry.

Y/n: On hold on I don't think it's him.

Caynz, Yolko, Schmitt: Huh?

Y/n: While I was running here I started to wonder about something and I gonna ask. The ring was with Griselda inventory right?

Yolko: Yes.

Y/n: And she and Grimlock are a couple correct?

Schmitt: Yes.

Y/n: And after her death Grimlock disappeared and you all think he ended his life correct?

Caynz: Yes.

Y/n: (smirk) Well....let me tell you a fact about couples in a game. In this game, whenever two players are in love, they share items to each other. Two lovers have totally access to each of their inventory so none of them will not hide anything as a couple. However.....if one of them is dead then all of their stuff will be transferred to either the boyfriend/Husband or Girlfriend/wife. I believe Schmitt player failed and someone else killed her.

Yolko: Seriously?

Caynz: But who will do that?

Kiko: Maybe you should ask him.

They all turn to see Kiko and Asuna with a male player who is actually Grimlock, shocking the trio as Silica and Lina came up to Y/n.

Asuna: We found him hiding behind some trees. He was watching the whole thing.

Schmitt: (shocked) He was? But why?

Y/n: More importantly. Why did you kill your lover? You loved her.

He then look down for a moment and then look back at everyone and explained.

Grimlock: I do love her. However when I was trapped in this game I became depressed. I missed my family and the real world outside od this game. Meanwhile Griselda enjoys the world that she is in and I couldn't watch her continuing a life within a cell. So I decided to end her, letting her soul be free from this nightmare.

Y/n: So you killed her because you wanted to free her? May I ask why haven't you taking your own life after that?

Grimlock: It's because of my sin. I killed someone and she must be in heaven right now. Meanwhile I might go to hell for what I have done. The thought of that scared me so I go into hiding.

Y/n: I see. (Turns to Schmitt, Yolko and Caynz) Where he is your real killer here. Its your choice.

The trio look at each other and without a word, they approach Grimlock, stared at him and then took him somewhere as Y/n and the girls watch them leave.

Silica: Where do you think they are taking him?

Y/n: Who knows. Best to let them do their own thing.

Asuna: Yeah. Well, guess we should heaf back.

Kiko: Yeah and your owning me a sandwich.

Asuna: As if!

The three girls walk off as both Asuna and Kiko argue while Silica and Pina try to calm the two down. This made Y/n smile when he felt sunrise behind him so he turn around and he saw something he couldn't believe.

Standing next to the Griselda's grave stone.....was the spirit of Griselda herself as she smile, thinking that she wants to thank him for helping her party which he smiled back, pulls out a flower and set it down in front of her grave to pay respect to her and then leaves.

The sunrises as Griselda's spirit disappeared while the flower is seen on top of her grave. Even though there are times players may lose someone they life, they must never give up and always remember them so they can keep on surviving until the end.
