There is this dream I had that night before the battle..

My eyes opened, knowing that I'm at the beach with clear blue sky, realize I'm with him. I look around.. Strolling on the sparkling white sand with him, in our wedding outfits. I'm surprised I'm in my lovely white wedding dress and he is in his charming navy blue wedding tuxedo suit. The gentle wind breezes our skin while the sound of the wave splashes soothe our ears, as my mind wondering if "Is this a dream?". There's no one but the two of us at the beach. We enjoyed the view of the clear ocean. I stopped my steps and he notices right away.

"What's wrong?" He asked in curious. "Nothing, really.." I responded in pure happiness. "How do I look in this wedding dress?" I simply ask him as I show him the every girl's dream dress. "You're totally looking lovely." His responds is enough to excite me. I smile at him with a compliment reply "Thanks, you look perfect as well." The boy nods back happily. "Is this our true ending?" I ask from my heart but in a casual tone. "Our promises led us here." The boy replies in honesty. "Our promises... Is that so?" I mumbled under my breath as I set my palm to my chest, trying to speak out what I truly want to say from my heart. He asks me with a bit worried expression, "Don't tell me you already forgot about it?". I response quickly while hiding my nervousness as I don't want him to be disappointed with me, "No way! Of course I still remember it, I just couldn't believe all of our promises had brought us here in the end." I added in with a hug onto his arm, letting him know my feelings for him. "Well in the other way, it's okay if you forget it. We've been through a lot, way a lot that we can't even imagine. As long as you don't forget the one who willingly walks the path with you, we'll always be connected." He comforts me as he gently pets my head. My heart flutters by his words, soothing my nervousness. "Thanks.. For everything." I said it with the most sincere way to reply to his countless effort just for me. I rest my head onto his shoulder while still heartily hugging his arm. "I love you.." I said it from the very bottom of my heart. He smiles and replies happily. "I love you too.." After a few minutes of viewing the ocean, I ask him as I could not wait for the sacred moment. "Should we... Seal our vows?" I said it in nervous tone under my breath.

The boy instantly responds with pure grin. "I was waiting for you to say that." The boy responds to me. I start smiling smile at him with tears of joy drips down gracefully. Both of us are already happy just only locking our eye contacts. The boy gently brings me to his embrace, that our faces are just only a centimeter away. Our soft lips slowly approaches toward until we finally seal the vows that we both have been eagerly wanted to with our sacred kiss. I know our moment is too short to be our best memories. But...

It's just doesn't feel.. True... Because I could hardly feel this becoming reality. I really hate to say this.

And that's how the dream goes before the nightmare strikes in..

How wonderful..

How lovely..

Especially how happy we are..

The hit of the "Heaven's Judgement Blade" blows Koharu away and crashes against the barrier. Paralysis has applied on her by the Skill's effect. Thanks to her "Unyielding" Passive Skill, she is able to tank the hit and her 10 HP still remains in her HP Bar.

Koharu: Ugh!

Her head and her view rolls up to the side where Lai is, his stomach just got struck by the Spear that Koharu accidentally shot him with. He eventually falls down to the ground as the damage hits half of his MaxHP away, struggling to break the Spear while Kayaba slowly walks forward to Lai.

Akihiko: I never thought you both would be this strong to take me on, yet unexpectedly fragile in the end. I can assume it's because of the pointless affection you both had.

Lai just breaks the Spear and immediately shoots out a middle finger at him as a response while struggling to stay away from Kayaba who is about to strike him to aside.

Lai: At least we care for each other! And you're just a pathetic piece of-!

*Slash!*

He got slapped by the blade of the Liberator, the damage drops his HP to the Red Zone but his undying willpower blocks the rest of the damage. Lai looks up to his partner who is just laying on the ground motionlessly due to the paralysis applied recently. He tries to reach her with his hand.

Lai: Koharu..

Akihiko: ...

The mastermind watches the boy forcefully gets up and sprints as fast as he can to the girl. He slides down to her aid while she's still in paralysis status ailment and unable to move an inch at all. Calling her name while carrying her to his embrace.

Lai: Koharu..!

The girl struggles to break out from the paralysis, advicing him to focus on himself.

Koharu: Don't mind me..!

Lai: Don't say a word! I'll get you something! Anything!

He quickly swipes out the shortcut menu, ended up shocked as he just realizes that Kayaba secretly deleted most of their buff potions and recoveries. Only with a "Universal Revital Potion" that fully recovers one's HP. Lai panics a bit but enraged the fact that the mastermind had sabotaged their items.

Lai: You sabotaged our items, Kayaba!

The man answers casually, did not care that they are on the edge of death.

Akihiko: Oh, did I? I guess I'd blame the system if you were me, The Cardinal must've detected its master is in danger so it erases the attacker's items on its own decision. Even I deactivated it, the system would just activate back and meddling my role. Seriously, The Cardinal almost blew my cover for several times but the KoB are just too... "Naive" to notice that. So technically, it's not my-

He immediately shuts him up as he doesn't want to be interrupted.

Lai: Shut up! I don't give a crap if you're a god! In my view, you're still just a huge stain to humanity!

Suddenly, everyone start to criticize the mastermind.

Klein: Yeah! All we did is just to escape your stupid game and nothing much!

Sachi: You're horrible! My friends had died in the game because of you!

Keita: In terms of listing game developer, you're the worst one!

Most of the players are criticizing Kayaba. But the mastermind just applies the barrier with vouce blocker, muted all the players except the duo. They both could tell the scene has become quiet instantly.

Akihiko: Give me a break.. You all just can't stop ruining the moment, huh?

He proceeds to watch at the duo who are concerning each other, losing their hopes as they both slowly accepts their fate.

Koharu: Is this how we supposed to die? Like this?

Akihiko: Not sure.. Even I can't control the fate of you two.

Koharu: ...I'm not asking you, Kayaba..

She calls out her partner's name. Lai responds immediately to her aid.

Koharu: Lai..

A tear just shedded out from her eyes, her partner notices that but couldn't come up a single word to persuade themselves. She apologizes to him as she starts losing all her hopes.

Koharu: I'm sorry, Lai... I became a burden to you in the end.. So sorry that I shot you.

Her partner, who hasn't give up yet. Replies to her in soft tone.

Lai: I ain't dead yet.. So stop saying this..!

Lai grabs the potion regardless that they are about to lose.

Lai: Please.. Take this potion, I need you to live.

Koharu: What about you? Don't tell me you're planning to abandon me again!

He stutters by her response for a second before replying back. He looks away with his eyes closed.

Lai: ...Do not worry about me.. Just take this potion. My HP can be recovered.. For a long time to reach full HP tho.

Koharu: But I can't move.. There's no way I could fight with you..

A Tarantula crawls out from Koharu's pocket. Lai gently rubs its head. Koharu smiles at it.

Koharu: I'm sorry.. I couldn't bring you back to your mother in the end..

The Spider is still snuggling on Lai's thumb while covering it with his whole palm like a bed sheet. Seems that it did not regret going with them to the end at all.

Lai: I'm glad it had a good time with us. Though it's-

His sentence got interrupted by Kayaba who is just standing there with his Kite Shield and the Liberator.

Akihiko: Are you forfeiting, Lai? Are you ready to accept your fate? Or still keeping up your futile resistance.

The boy silents for a while.. With a blank expression on his face. Only let out a question.

Lai: I should be asking you with that question of yours instead...

Akihiko: Hm?

Lai: You'll be shocking in the end.. And I can guarantee that to you.

He chuckles..

Akihiko: What is that supposed to mean? I can assume you're just buying yourself some time since you're in this state. How about this, I'll start the countdown before I end your life here..

Koharu: !!

Lai: ...

He tightens his grip on the potion as drinking it all to himself is the only choice he had. Koharu persuades him.

Koharu: You have to fight him! Don't worry about me...!

Lai: Koharu...

Koharu: I know we've reached to the end point in our paths. But at least we could die trying.. And.... I wish I can meet you again in the afterlife.

Her eyes narrows down a bit before closing her eyes.

Koharu: Then, we can be together again once we get to be reborn..

Lai: ...

She beams at him with her grin, Lai stares at her smile a bit before looking at the potion in his hand. Lai apologizes to her.

Lai: I'm sorry, Koharu...

He starts to drink the "Universal Revital Potion". Koharu closes her eyes as she needs a rest with the Spider. Knowing that they stand no chance.

Koharu: (I left you alone in two years ago.. But I want you to know.. That I won't be alone.. Because I already found my better half and settled with him for eternity. I know you won't hear my voice anymore so..)

"I'm sorry.. Mother..."

..

...

....

.....

......!!!

Suddenly, her lips got connected. Koharu opens her eyes back, instantly noticed that her partner, Lai is now kissing her while forcing her to swallow the drink. She helplessly struggles a bit in her mind while her body is still in paralysis.

Koharu: (Stop! Lai...! Please stop!)

Their tears flows down through their cheeks, along with a few drops spill from Koharu's mouth. like he is about to bid his farewell with the final kiss. He keeps on transferring the rest of the content to her mouth as she struggles to know the reason behind his doing.

Koharu: (Why..? Why are you doing this, Lai..!)

Their kiss finally breaks after Koharu makes her last swallow. They both stare at each other's eyes while breathing down heavily. Lai hands over his Dark General's Sword, placing the handle on her right hand as he decided to fight him unarmed, only with bare hands.

Lai: I'm sorry, Koharu.. I'm so sorry..

Koharu: No! Don't go! Don't leave me alone again!

He stands up, turns around. Now is facing against the mastermind, Akihiko Kayaba. He clenches both of his fists, gritting his teeth. Koharu screams out his name.

Koharu: LAI!!!

He ignores her call as he enters into his battle stance with usual martial arts style. His opponent simply asks.

Akihiko: Bare hands? You sure you had made your decision?

Lai: ...

He silences as a reply, letting Kayaba to continue.

Akihiko: All of Martial Arts have its own principles. I do admit you have a lot of experiences but yet undisciplined still. On the other sides, you sure had developed a lot of your own combos, so too bad I can't predict your movement anymore. But in conclusion, you'll fail in this combat.

Lai: I think your calculation is still malfunctioning. Same goes for that brain of yours.

Akihiko: Hmph..

The boy rushes forward with a slide dash for the first strike, Kayaba immediately raises his Shield for the guard. Lai slides straight towards the Shield and tackles the Shield.

Akihiko: It's futile!

He jumps upward as soon as he makes contact with it, dodges Kayaba's Liberator slash. Lai grabs the Kite Shield and lifts Kayaba, slamming him entirely to the ground at the end of his front flip. Kayaba bounces up and Lai tackles it with his whole body. He dashes in big zig zag line in Hyper Speed, Kayaba couldn't see his figure at all.

Akihiko: He's fast!

He suddenly appears down below Kayaba's guard. Swings a kick to tumble Kayaba down but the kick simply stops on the target due to the Anti-KnockBack.

Lai: Shiet!

He parries the incoming attacks from the "Divine Blade" and the "Shield Thrust" with just both of his fist and rolls away quickly. Lai swings one of his fists at the target but got blocked by the Shield. Kayaba is about to descend the Slash on Lai, but the sword ended up got knocked away by one of his kicks during the parry attack.

Akihiko: Damn!

Lai takes his chance to bash Kayaba's head by grabbing and violently pushing the Shield towards. Then, Lai snatches away the Kite Shield, leaving the mastermind unarmed. Kayaba quickly draws out the developer menu to retrieve his Sword. But Lai stuns Kayaba with a "Shield Cannon" before that happen. Lai takes his chance to inflict damage on Kayaba.

Lai: Now's my chance!

He rushes through Kayaba with a tackle, slaps back with the Shield, tackles through again and shoots out a large barrage of fists on every part of Kayaba's body, two extra heavy kicks before doing a Horizontal side flip, violently smashes the Shield right on Kayaba's head from above with full force. Lai shoots another "Shield Cannon" on the target, the projectile ricochets back and Lai catches it and executes another "Shield Cannon" in the air. Lai additionally launches the Liberator up with his stomp. Then kicks it straight to Kayaba's chest. Kayaba removes the stun immediately before catching his Kite Shield back and parries the Sword upward that got launched by Lai. Kayaba grabs the Sword and raises up, forming a stance that is calling the heaven.

Akihiko: Hear my calls, Cardinal System!

Lai: Huh?

Lai stops where he is as soon as he heard Kayaba just called out the system's name. The light shines on the Liberator from above, the blade starts to glow in very bright light, like it's just been charged up. Lai raises up his guard as soon as he hears Kayaba's Ranged Sword Skills.

Akihiko: "Heaven's Ray".

The tip of the blade suddenly shoots out a beam that is 10 times faster than Lightning Strike. Lai simply dodges away with his body bends down, dodges another one as he hops forward, then he starts strafing around Kayaba with both of his hands behind for decreasing wind resistance in order to be fast enough to evade the Heaven's Ray attacks as Kayaba unleashes it continuously. He slides down and jumps up, hops completely to the other side to escape away from Kayaba's aiming sight. He starts his counter attack with the Automatic Crossbow. Kayaba blocks the arrow with his Shield until Lai's String lands on the Shield and pulls himself straight towards him. Kayaba cuts the String and shoots a Ray at him. During the momentum, Lai ducks down and jumps up, shooting out several arrows in airborne. Lai dodges in his motion, landing and climbing on Kayaba's Shield. The mastermind takes his chance to land a slash at him but Lai shoots out a kick to parry the Sword attack in his climb. Kayaba tries to shake him out.

Akihiko: Get off!

Lai: Nope!

Lai kicks several incoming Sword Slashes. Kayaba decides to smash on the ground with his whole Shield. Lai rolls away from the Shield before that happens. Almost got crushed by Kayaba.

Lai: Phew...

Meanwhile...

Koharu is watching them fighting to the death. A Spider comes back out from Koharu's pocket.

Koharu: Huh?

The Tarantula reveals out its crystal fang, entering her skin. She could feel that it is injecting something else into her skin. Koharu starts to feel one of her fingers slightly moves.

Koharu: This is..!

She realizes the liquid that it is injecting with is the Tarantula's own bodily fluids which is immune to the paralysis. But due to the Tarantula still in its baby stages. The cost of curing someone's paralysis results killing the Spider due to the lack of its fluid.

Koharu: (No..!)

Meanwhile... Lai dashes back forward, slides down to avoid the slash. He takes his chance to throw a fist at Kayaba's waist where the vulnerability shows the most, the impact causes Kayaba's body to bend down. Then, Lai grabs his opportunity to uppercut him straight to the chin. He adds up the combo by tackling through him and drop kicks straight through Kayaba's head, back to the front and swings a kick again from the left side and then another one from the right before finishing the combo with a drop kick. Everyone got shocked by his performance as Lai taunts him after managing to deplete several HP Bars.

Lai: How is it feel of not getting a hit on your opponent!?

His head raises up, looks like he's pretty fine from all the hits he has taken. His expression shows no reaction from all the damage Lai has dealt on him.

Akihiko: Did you tried to taunt me during the battle?

Lai: Well, it's just a habit of a gamer, don't mind me.

Akihiko: Well then.. You left me no choice..

Lai immediately throws a fist at him, but the hit didn't even reach on Kayaba's skin and appears a purple polygon saying "Immortal object".

Lai: !!

It only takes him a second to realize that Kayaba is now reactivated the immortal status on himself. He stafes away from Kayaba's sight, removing the drum mag of his Automatic Crossbow and clips up with a fresh full mag, standing by. Koharu noticed that and yells at him in angered.

Koharu: You're lying, Kayaba! You won't get away with this!

Akihiko: Sorry, Koharu.. I can't let him end it that simple.

She grits her teeth hard as she watches her partner struggle to defeat him. Lai suddenly whispers a "friendly advice" to him.

Lai: Here's my friendly advice for you, Kayaba. I suggest you don't want to make her mad.

The man pins the Shield on the ground. His curiosity got the best of him.

Akihiko: I see that more as a warning instead..

Lai rushes forward, throws out several punches on Kayaba's Kite Shield. But inevitably got blocked by the Immortal Status's barrier. Lai hops back quickly and dodges away in Acrobatics from Kayaba's Ray Attack.

Lai: Don't say I didn't tell you..!

He rushes in while dodging, starts pushing his limits as his speed starts to increase constantly.

Lai: You haven't seen any of me yet!

He disappears from Kayaba's sight, Lai takes his chance to land a strike from Kayaba's side. It takes Kayaba a full second to notice the punch.

Akihiko: !!

Several punches were executed from all sides of Kayaba. Making the man to confuse as Lai starts strafing around his opponent.

After gaining enough movement speed, the boy takes his chance to position himself from the sides, launches himself and throws a punch, the fist impacts on the impenetrable barrier. But the thrust generates a powerful air current that bypasses the barrier as the Immortal Status doesn't recognizes the air current as "Attack Threat". The result ends up punching Kayaba right in the cheek that blows him away. Everyone are now dropped their jaws from what they just witness. Even the mastermind is now confused from the results.

Akihiko: Impossible!!

He hardens his fists while catching his breath heavily. Pushing his limits even more. His voice starts to become demonic.

Lai: I will end your existence, Kayaba!!

Both of his feet launches up, leaving floor cracks every time he takes a power step. Lai rockets himself straight towards Kayaba, the man swings his Liberator and Lai just simply dodge to below. Throwing an uppercut to the barrier, despite his punch physically getting stopped by the barrier. Hundreds of air punches bypasses it and impacts on every sides of Kayaba's body. Causing the man to spill his saliva and deletes a couple of HP Bars.

Akihiko: Guh!!!

All the strikes are enough to blow Kayaba away entirely, Lai instantly follows up by chasing down his target in Hyper Speed. He launches Kayaba to another direction with his kick. Then, Lai repeats the chasing attack again and again until he launches Kayaba straight to the air and reaches to the top before him.

Lai: Take this!

His spinning heel drop blasts Kayaba straight down to the ground, the impact causing the surface of the entire platform to crack and creates a huge fog. Lai falls on the ground, cooling himself down.

Lai: *Huff!* *Huff!*

He gets back up and looks at his opponent. Lai grabs out his Automatic Crossbow, pulls the bolts and loads the first arrow, slowly approaches Kayaba. As he goes near to the crater with a surprise attack. He notices that Kayaba has disappears in thin air.

Lai: !!

As he couldn't spot him in his sight, Lai changes his objective on taking care of his partner who is still vulnerable by the paralysis. He notices the Tarantula is currently curing her paralysis.

Lai: Is this..? Koharu! Are you okay!?

Koharu: Did you... Beat him?

Lai looks around, sensing no movement at all. Lai consoles her but still unsure.

Lai: I'm not sure.. But I'm glad you're okay at lea-!

*Stab!*

Koharu: !!

A blade burst out from Lai's chest. He got terrified as soon as he notices the blade.

Lai: Shiet!

Koharu: Lai!!

The blade starts to lift the boy up entirely, draining down his HP in very slow rate. As the fog slowly disperse, Koharu's eyes widened as soon as she notices and couldn't believe that Kayaba survives all Lai's attacks at all.

Koharu: You're-! How are you still alive!?

She looks at Kayaba's HP, noticing that his HP bar start to regenerate on its own constantly during the whole battle.

Koharu: That's not fair at all!

The man chuckles casually.. Grinning at her naiveness.

Akihiko: Well, I am the Ultimate Boss in Floor 100 after all. So it's normal to be very difficult for the players to take down. Only someone like you that is naive enough to expect me to be downed that easily..

He watches the boy struggles to tear the blade down. The view of the man cruelly tortures her partner angers her even more.

Koharu: Let him go!! You're insane! Just let him go, Kayaba!

Akihiko: I did not come this far for an ending like this, neither for both of you at all..

Kayaba looks away..

Akihiko: How much do you two care for everyone? Did they repay for all what you did in these two years?

They both refuse to answer back as Lai struggles to break out from the blade while Koharu doesn't even have the mood to answer.

Lai: Ugh! Huff!

Koharu: *sobs* Just stop.. Please!!

Koharu grits her teeth harder as more of her tears drops down quickly. Kayaba sighs and reply in disappointment.

Akihiko: I supposed they offered nothing.. So why do you insist on something that is totally pointless and no benefits for your own gain?

Lai hurls the insult back that triggers Kayaba.

Lai: Well..! You could be the granddad of the very first VRMMO games and be a contributing member of society. But you fecked it up for some pointless dreams of yours!? You're a genius, right!? So tell me which is worse!? Dipshiet!

Akihiko: Pointless... Huh? Well then...

He ruthlessly smashes Lai entirely on the ground who is still stuck on Kayaba's Liberator blade for a few times. Then, Kayaba lifts him straight up above so everyone could see him stuck in a blade in clear view, especially Koharu. She yells out at him to stop.

Koharu: Stop it!! Stop hurting him!! Please!

The man hears her words, but still lifting Lai straight above up who is struggling, both of his hand grips on the blade as hard as he can to prevent himself getting impaled down deeper. He tries his best to climb out from the blade until he eventually lost his strength to grip onto and both of his arms drop down, motionlessly hanging on the blade. The view of it terrifies Koharu to the core.

Koharu: LAIII!!!

Kayaba throws Lai straight away and crashes to the barrier. A few red pixel still remains in his HP Bar.

Lai: *Cough!* *Cough!*

His consciousness starts to dim away, slowly reaching to the brink of his faint as his hand slowly drops down eventually. Kayaba shakes his head as he is disappointed to their goals.

Akihiko: You got my hopes up when I'm constantly get beaten up by you, Lai. But a dexterity guy like you are easy to deal with once your tricks get exploited. But I'm honestly impressed that you're able to move freely around and deal massive damages without the system's Sword Skills motion assist. Hm?

One of the boy's legs suddenly stands, trembling a lot as he tries to stand back up in two. One of his fists hardens up while his head is still bowing down, didn't have enough strength to raise up his head. Lai suddenly remembers the cruelty scene, especially that evil face that scarred him in Floor 20 motivates him in more brutal way as his raging emotions takes over his avatar.

Akihiko: Still standing up, I see.. Now I admire your-

He instantly appears in front of Kayaba, successfully catching him off guard.

Akihiko: !!

He immediately blocks Lai's incoming attacks. But Lai nails his stomp on Kayaba's foot. The man notices that and tries to strike on his leg with his Shield while swinging his Sword at him.

Akihiko: The Barrier isn't working!?

A palm of Lai's right hand swings towards first and grips onto Kayaba's whole face. Smacking him straight to the ground, pinning him down. Lai hardens his grip on Kayaba's neck, choking him. Kayaba witnesses his expressionless face before Lai's right fist start bashing all of his teeth out.

A couple of teeth flew up from Kayaba's mouth. Then, his next move terrifies Kayaba as soon as Lai presses his thumbs onto Kayaba's eyes, trying to gouge both of his eyes out. The man forcefully blows him away with the system command. Kayaba is now aware to his rising brutality.

Akihiko: This guy...!

Lai's head bends down, only facing him with his hair. Lai rushes forward, swings his left kick on Kayaba's Shield and kicks on the face. Surprisingly, the blow knocks him back for a few steps. Kayaba starts to suspect something else with the system..

Akihiko: (Knock back! Something must be wrong!)

Kayaba couldn't afford conducting analysis to the problem during the fierce battle. He quickly swings his Sword but Lai blocks on Kayaba's arm with his, headbutts and shoots a fist at his face immediately. Lai throws several blows on Kayaba's stomach and swings a kick that flips Kayaba off from balance. Lai launches his opponent away who is still in the airborne. Kayaba  feels more suspicious about what Lai just said before.

Akihiko: (Had he planned everything from the start and I just walked right on it?)

As his mind just got distracted for a second, Lai is already got a hold on Kayaba's right arm from the rear, dislocated it just by pulling from behind. Lai grits his teeth while gathering all of his strength and focus on his right fist. Preparing to throw it right behind Kayaba with all of his might.

Then, a punch penetrates through his stomach, draining Kayaba's HP bar back down and slowly lifts him up above as a payback. Kayaba struggle to let out words as he feels powerless.

Akihiko: You must be.. Feeling satisfied.. Huh?

A couple of seconds has passed. He didn't get a single answer as Lai's emotions still takes control of his avatar during his mind is still in unconscious. Everyone just witness the Strongest Player defeated the Ultimate Boss. Lai violently tears Kayaba's torso with both hands.

The boy stares down the Kayaba's remains, expressionless. Koharu looks at him, calls out to him.

Koharu: Lai?

He suddenly kneels down on the ground, Lai reaches his arm out towards his partner, needing her. Then, Koharu hears a Spider's screaming.

Koharu: !!

She forcefully insists herself standing up as she could barely feels her body. Koharu grabs the dying Tarantula and rushes to her partner's side. She calls out to him, panicked.

Koharu: Lai? Lai!? Are you okay!?

The boy did not answer as he is still with both of his knees kneeled down. Koharu lifts his head so she could see his face. As soon as she sees his eyes, it terrifies her that his pupils are already gone, like his soul isn't there anymore. His body is now nothing more, just like an empty shell. His partner's feelings and her tears starts welling up. Burst out crying as she hugs him while holding the Tarantula dearly to her.

Koharu: I'm sorry! I couldn't save you at all! Lai! I couldn't save both of you out!

She notices the Tarantula starts to emit into light, a sign that the creature is about to disperse into polygon. Then, the same goes for her partner's avatar. His body inevitably burst into polygon and eventually escapes from her hug. Koharu kneels down and her mental start breaking apart as she cries uncontrollably while clenching her fists hard.

Koharu: *Sob!* Lai...!

She let out her immesurable misery as her memories with him wears her mental down, until she hears a reviving sound that completely surprises her. The sound of it immediately enraging her soul as soon as she notices. Kayaba seems to be confused by what just happened to himself.

Akihiko: Did I got revived? It wasn't under my call..

Koharu: I won't...!

Akihiko: !!

Koharu: I won't forgive... I will never forgive..

Her enraged emotion start peaking up, same as the floating polygons got attracted and start fusing her avatar in glowing yellow while all of Lai's stats combined with hers. She unsheathes both of her glowing One-Handed Swords, her Moonkiss and Lai's Dark General's Sword before turning around to Kayaba who is now defenseless and completely vulnerable. Yelling out in rage.

"I will never forgive you!!!"
