I galloped for the first time today. We were out on a trail and my instructor was on an excitable horse. I went in front of her down a narrow path between two pastures, and she did a fast canter past me. I tried, in vain, might I add, to keep my horse flat walking. At first, we were just jigging along, and then, the next thing I knew, we were in full gallop.

It was absolutely amazing.

We weren't in big open field (luckily) and there was a gate in front of us. He stopped in front of the gate and then did it again in open fields which was absolutely terrifying.

But I'm fine, it's fine. I'm still alive. It's all good.
