P.O.V. [Name]

I looked at Emerald's unconscious form in front of me and looked at my watch. "Three, two, one," I said to myself before looking back at Emerald only to see her starting to wake up.

"So how was it torturing Roman?" I asked looking at her.

"It was great I'm really glad that you let me do that," she said as she ran up to me and hugged me. I was bit surprised by this action because she never hugged me.

I wrapped one arm around her and held her close to me. She wasn't just valuable to the organization but I found myself rather fond of her as well.

She separated from me rather quickly and looked a bit embarrassed about what she had done. "S-sorry I was just so happy and-" she began only for me to cut her off.

"It's fine Emerald . . . in fact meet me in my office tonight I want to have a few words with," I said looking at her. She seemed to be a little nervous when I said this and looked like she was going to say something but I beat her to it. "Don't worry you're not in trouble," I said looking at her.

She seemed to calm down when I said this and let me walk away. When I did I walked into my office and saw one of my workers standing there. "How was the meeting?" She asked looking at me.

". . . It went better than expected actually," I said looking at them.

"I see that's wonderful news. Now sir you have nothing planned so if you would like me to make any plans or arrangements then I shall do so right away," she said looking at me.

"Emerald's being promoted tonight. She's going from privateer to admiral," I said looking at her.

"My she rose threw the ranks rather fast," she said looking at me.

"She's proven she deserves the position and she always completes three times her weekly quota. I believe that she is more than deserving of the position," I said looking at her.

"Very well then I will let the other admirals and lieutenants know that you are not to be bothered tonight," she said leaving the room. I then sighed and looked at the ceiling.

Soon enough we'll be big enough to start attracting some real attention and just a few hunters in training. Soon enough it'll be real teams made out of real hunters coming after us.

After all we like to preform publicity stunts. Shows the other thugs as well as few do-gooders that we are not to be messed with. Other wise it may end up coming back to haunt you.

I had been so deep in my thoughts that I hadn't noticed how quickly the time had passed. The only thing that brought me back to reality was a knock on my door.

"Come in," I said as I looked at the door. I rubbed my neck because it had become stiff from staying still for to long. I wasn't surprised to see Emerald enter the room.

"So what is it you wanted to talk to me about?" She asked looking at me.

"Well Emerald I'm going to save the long speech I had planned and say that you're being promoted," I said looking at her. When I said this she smiled and looked at me.

"Does that mean I get a pay raise?" She asked looking at me.

"Yes it does Emerald and since you're being promoted to Admiral you'll also be given your own underlings to do as you say," I said looking at her causing her to smile?

"Of course it's up to you to choose who your underlings are and what they do but they are yours nonetheless," I said looking at her.

She smiled when I said this and and rubbed her neck. "That's good to hear maybe I can get one of them to get this knot out of my neck," she said jokingly.

"You know if you want you could just have me do that," I said looking at her. Her face turned a little darker at this and she seemed to tense up even more. "I was only joking Emerald," I said with a slight chuckle.

She turned even more red when I said this and seemed a little mad. "You shouldn't say things like that! What if I had taken you up on that offer?" She asked a little upset.

"Then it'd be a fifty-fifty chance," I said looking at her causing her to look at me a little confused.

"Fifty-fifty chance of what?" She asked looking at me.

"That I'd get a kiss," I said teasing her slightly. When I said this she turned even darker red and looked away from me. It was quite in the room for a few seconds.

I was going to apologize to her for picking on her this much but she said something that surprised me. "Then I guess I'll take you up on that offer," she said her face still red.

"What?" I asked looking at her.

"You heard me. I want you to . . . rub my shoulders," she said looking at me. When she said this she turned around in her chair and I realized she wasn't kidding.

I sighed and walked over to her before gently pressing on her back and trying to undo the knot that was there. I soon realized that there wasn't a knot.

I then let my hands trail down her back and she didn't say anything. I brought them to he sides and up to her face. She still hadn't said anything.

I took her chin and gently turned her head towards mine. She looked a little embarrassed but when her eyes met mine she seemed to be a little different somehow.

She then started to lean towards me and I repeated her action. When our lips finally met each other. I felt my hands travel down to her waste and pulled her close to me.

I felt her tongue run across my lips asking for entrance. I happily opened and our tongues met in the center where we battled for dominance with me winning and exploring her mouth.

I could have kept going but the need for air broke us apart and she looked at me. "Guess your fifty-fifty prediction was right," she said looking away.

"Emerald look at me," I said looking at her. When I said this she looked at me and I once again kissed her. This kiss was much shorter and I separated much quicker.

"I care about you more than the others. I think I might be falling for you. Will you give me a chance?" I asked looking at her. When I said this she nodded and looked away.

"I don't see why not," she said looking at me. I smiled at this and kissed her forehead.

"Thanks Emerald," I said looking at her.
