Helix with a Side of Salt.

So the ARMS team had already created multiple characters including a Fat Reaper, Genji, Robo Cop, Clickbait, Wall-E, Generic Character, Villain Guy, Generic Character as Fat Reaper, Noodles, Dank Memer, and Ribbon Girl. But they needed one more, one that could add a bit more lore to the series as a whole. So they made a pile of goop.

Now personally I love Helix, he's my favorite character and rightfully so. Being a pile of goo he can bend most of the rules and just blorp around. I especially like how he screams all the time due to his lack of vocal cords.

Now the ARMS team for some reason thought he needed a backstory despite the backstory for Fat Reaper being 'He lookin for answers lolz.' But hey, at least we get some lore. Helix was one of the attempts to make an artificial ARMS fighter. Of course he ended up being a mindless pile of goo who only enjoys watching others fight but it worked.

So now we have Helix, the 'man' of mystery himself. Now goopy goop can do many things, like be goop. And not be goop. But let's focus on his main abilities, he can stretch out his body instead of jumping, allowing him to charged his ARMS before launching into midair, and being able to take advantage of the height without the risk of grabs. But if you do jump don't worry because you land all goopy like so you can slip right under their arms.

This is the same for his dodge where he goops up and hides under attacks. this is especially useful when someone uses their rush because if you can't block you can at least try to slip away. Now normally it's best to use Helix as god intended, go crazy. There's no real strategy to him because he's so unpredictable. You could jump around and dodge or stick to the ground, or just stretch up and never really jump.

I like to play him as a mixed bag. Stretch into the air and jump if they try to punch your lower half, feel free to fire off any attacks or just dodge to the side. When you land take advantage of the fact they'll always try to grab you but never really catch on to that they should wait a few seconds and freeze 'em with the Ice Dragon!

Now that brings me over to his ARMS. The preferred ARMS are Ice Dragon and Blorp because Guardian is shit. Seriously it is impossible to use because of the way it functions. If you can consistently climb the ranks using double guardian then god bless you.

Now the best way to attack is to freeze and blorp because the blorp isn't too fast and bounces along, keep this in mind because it doesn't function like normal punching ARMS. Now instead jump into the air after charging your ARMS, try to freeze em, if it fails then land up close and blorp. Just blorp.

Mix this in with your crazy flips and tricks and freakouts and try to remain unpredictable and your Helix is good to go. Keep in mind if you start to make a pattern the enemy MIGHT figure you out, it depends on if they know how to play the game or are using the Joycons UPSIDEDOWN. Try to remain as unpredictable as possible because Helix really has that edge with his swift movements and attack dodging, but if you start to get hit you're probably fucked.

Now for minigames like Volleyball you're normally fucked because all of his ARMS are a bit of a pain. So instead grab and then follow up with a blorp. Basketball is just Freeze 'n' grab. Skillshot is where the range of the Ice Dragon really shines. And Hedlok Scramble should always be played with one Ice Dragon so you can take advantage of its range and snag Hedlok.

Well that's about all for Helix. As long as you act crazy and don't pick double Guardian to screw me over in Online double battles you'll do fine. But seriously, at least he has a decent backstory unlike Fat Reaper. I mean come on! 'Looking for answers!' More like looking for a cop out! I cannot wait to cover Master Mummy. But not really, because I'll have to use him.
