1 year.
1 year without Jung Wooyoung.
1 year without having to come home to some, seeing someone, loving someone.
It was lonely for Choi San.
All he did was get a new job, get his house refined a bit because it was getting to old that the wood would start to crack sometimes. After that he started going out to parties sometimes, and got used to the feeling of forgetting. Sometimes he forgot about Wooyoung when he danced with strangers, but other times he felt guilty for being so un-loyal to the other.
He'd get sad sometimes when he thought the other. His smile, his laugh, his sweet nature back before they were officially together always played like a record in San's mind. He even missed the arguments they had, even if he'd always lose them he didn't care.
He just missed his lover.
It was cold, winter had started and where he lived the weather was harshly cold. He tugged his jacket closer to his body, trying to create some heat from the wind that was blowing. He walked into a store, and gave a quick sigh of relief as he felt warmth surround his body. He then got some groceries, and stood in line to pay.
After paying, he walked home, but couldn't get the sudden feeling of uneasiness. He felt suspicious of the tension in the air that was creating around him. Confusion settled as he saw a car in his driveway, and quickly thought of a robber.
He panicked a little while he walked up to the front door, and he noticed that it wasn't broken. It fact it was closed. He thought someone must've been highly skilled and just opened it without making a scene, and slowly opened the door.
He peeked in, and checked around before quietly stepping into the house. He closed the door, and cursed when it made the slightest croaking noise.
He then heard steps, running, and he panicked. They came closer and he closed his eyes as he screamed.
"Don't kill me!" He screeched while covering his eyes.
He then heard a outburst of laughter, and slowly looked to see his brother. Yunho. Laughing at him.
He puffed in anger as he realized he must've looked like a fool.
"Stop laughing! I thought you were a robber!" He yelled unamused as he passed the other and went into the kitchens to put the groceries away.
"Oh- oh boy- you should've seen your face!" Another laugh cake after and San just ignored as he thought his brother was being childish.
"Get out of my house asshole and go back to Japan." San said annoyed.
"I just came back- Wait wait! I've got news that you wanna hear!" Yunho jumped up and down as he said this.
"What is it?" San perked.
"Wooyoungs back." Yunho said.
Silence took over the house.
"What?..." San said slowly as he stared in disbelief at the other.
"He's back! He's coming right now!" Yunho said with a smile.
"Wha- right now? Wait- right now!" San panicked and ran up into his room.
"Hey wait where are you going!-" Yunho called.
"To hide and cry under my bed!" San yelled back as he ran into his bedroom. Yunho followed, a smile still placed on his lips as he knew his brother was scared.
"Come on San! You haven't seen him in almost a year! How do you think he'll feel when he comes home to you crying under your bed." Yunho sighed as he sat in a chair that sat across the room.
"Why would I care- I cant face him- I'm not ready- what if I've gained weight- what if he doesn't feel the same anymore- what if-" San started pacing.
"Shut up!" Yunho yelled as he cut off the other. The other immediately stopped pacing and silenced himself as he looked at the other. "Forget about the 'what ifs' San! He's coming back for you!" Yunho said irritated.
"I cant help it....I wonder what he's like now. I wonder if he's actually changed." San whispered as he sat on his bed, hanging his head low in thought.
Yunho noticed the change in the atmosphere, and was quick to go comfort his brother as he took a seat beside the distressed male.
"I know it was hard for awhile when you were with Wooyoung, I couldn't be there, sorry for that." Yunho said as he put a arm around the other. "Though, I'm here now! And I'm here to make things better!" Yunho said with a smile, and San only turned his dead while he looked at the other with a 'are you kidding me' face.
"What! I'm trying to brighten the mood so you don't go all depressed on Wooyoung!" Yunho said in offense.
"Yea yea, anyways what did you do in Japan for half a year- and how did you know about me and Wooyoung?" San remembered, he couldn't contact him or even get a letter to him. He never really had the chance to tell him about Wooyoung.
"Well- I sorta got into a big argument with the CEO after I broke a window in his building, but he said he liked me and gave me some access to some information. That how I found out about Wooyoungs transfer and stuff like that. I found about you and Wooyoung long time ago to! Remember all those times I told you he wasn't worth it! Also, the CEO is kinda a hottie for your information." Yunho smirked as he raised an eyebrow.
"Yunho your a lost cause." Was all San said, before getting a flick on the forehead.
"Ow! You little brat!" San yelled as he attacked the other, the other screeching as he flew off the bed. San laughed as he watched his brother lie on the floor in pain.
"I should've stayed in Japan." Yunho whispered dramatically, and San scoffed.
A single bell ring stopped what they were doing.
San's heart sped up as he looked at Yunho, who smiled.
"It's gonna be fine San! Trust me! Come on!" Yunho yelled as he dragged his brother out of the room to the front door.
"W-wait! I'm not ready!" San said as he tried to fight away.
"Nobody ever is!" Yunho laughed and threw San towards the door. San stumbled as he approached it, and hesitantly looked out the hole in the door.
Silver hair.
The same silver hair he saw whenever he left was still there. Honey kissed skin that glows under any light, long lashes that cover those brown orbs, plump lips.
He couldn't take it and ran back swiftly, only to run into Yunho, and tried to get around him.
"San! Open that door you coward!" Yunho yelled as he pushed his brother back.
"I cant! I cant face him!" San yelled back and he tried to jump over the other, but was then halfway caught on his shoulder.
They looked like 5 year olds fighting over the last piece of candy if you had to look.
The door unexpectedly opened, and San could only hold his breath as he gripped onto his brother.
"Oh hey Wooyoung!" Yunho cheerfully said, and San cursed under his breath as he dared turned around.
It was him.
They made eye contact, and the single look itself sent shivers down his very spine. He felt the hairs on his neck rise as he realized the piercing gaze that was laid on him.
"Ok well- I'll leave now." Yunho quickly said, and San gritted his teeth as the other left. Patting Wooyoungs shoulders before he exited the house.
Once the door closed it was more awkward then you could imagine.
"Hey..." Wooyoung slowly said as he put his bags down, and stared at the other, taking notice of the tension between then.
San wanted to reply, but he felt as if the words were stuck in his throat and his mouth felt dry. He stared down at the floor, not knowing what to say.
San felt his heart stop for a split second when he heard the other step closer to him, and then saw his feet stop right in front of him.
"San-"
Before the other could even finish San felt tears prick his eyes and he flew into Wooyoungs arms, wrapping his arms around him as he dug his face into the broad shoulder. Wooyoung embraces him almost instantly, and hugged his tightly, pulling him close. San inhaled and Wooyoung still smelled the same, he smelled manly but sweet and it was addicting. He closed his eyes as tears ran down his cheeks.
"Don't cry, shhh it's okay." He heard that sweet voice, and it made him cry even more as he shook his shoulders. He couldn't help it, after so long he though he'd never hear that voice again, and now I he's in his lovers arms. It felt unreal.
Hands flowed through his hair calmly, and he gave a sigh as he calmed himself. He took breaths, regaining his breath. A gentle hand touched his chin, and lifted it, cupping his cheek.
Brown orbs bored into him, and he stared right back, hoping this wasn't a dream.
"Still as beautiful as ever." A whisper left the males lips and San felt himself flustered from the sudden compliment. He looked away, and the hand caressed his cheek gently.
Wooyoung stared at his beauty. The high cheekbones, the red and black hair, the milky smooth skin, the brown orbs that were covered by those long eye lashes, the plump lips he missed kissing. He missed it. He missed him.
"I've missed you." He heard almost a crack in the voice, and looked up to see a single tear run down the others cheek.
"I've missed you too." He said shakily as he felt a sob coming up again. They embraced other, so tight they could feel each other's heart beats.
They cried on each other, not believing they were here right now.
Together.
After so long.
After such a rough trip, past, adventure, it felt almost steady. It felt right. It felt real.
They pulled away, but only so the slightest as their foreheads touched, and San could feel the others breath on his lips. He couldn't handle patience and leaned in for the kiss.
Lips collided and felt like lightening had shook his whole body. He let himself get weak to the knees, and hold the other close.
'His lips are still sweet as candy.' San thought as their lips moved together, slowly, it felt dreamy almost.
They pulled away, and caught their breaths steadily.
"Still as soft as ever." Wooyoung whispered as he touched the others lips with his thumb. The half parted lips, the gloss to them, the half lidded eyes. He couldn't take it.
"God- I love you." Wooyoung said breathily as he leaned in again, this time desperately, he held San close by the waist.
Never wanting to let go, he held him.
Love filled the air.
It finally rest at peace within their hearts, and they gave such pleasure with it, it cheered the lost souls.
Lovers danced with each other, their hearts pleading for each other's well being. Touch. Words. Love.
Time changes.
Things change.
People change.
In the end, it's just time ticking.
Never ending.
Nobody can stop it.
Might as well use it while you can.
And this time,
Wooyoung won't let San out of his hold.
Never again.
Because he's switched.
SWITCHED
