🌻 The night in Konoha was quiet despite the noises from insects around the village. Our encounter with the guy had me thinking about things and it made me a little bit uncomfortable walking alone. Who would be so brave as to cause a ruckus in Konoha? That figure.. it looked a little bit too petite to be a guy. And I was almost sure that I caught a tiny glimpse of pink hair, but I was not sure. I do not know if anyone else noticed, but I have to confirm it before mentioning it to anybody. Nevertheless, I have to be on guard, be much more sensitive to the surrounding. As I approached the Hyuuga compound, a black figure approach the area. On the dark image only one thing stood out: pink hair.

Could it be?

I walked closer, it was Sakura. As dark as it may be, her pink hair and striking emerald eyes were of no mistake. There was only one person with those features.

"I knew it was you."

She snapped her head towards me in surprise. It only lasted for a second and her demeanour immediately became cold and foreign— and hatred. It hurt me.

🌸 I was surprised when Hinata appeared, only then did I notice my hoodie fell to my shoulders and exposed my pink hair. I never had the intention to meet her like this, nor did I want her to see me so soon. My plan was to show myself as someone who became much stronger.

"So you live here now, Hinata Hyuga?" I finally faced her.

With the little light from the moon, I could see the frown on her face and those sad Hyuga eyes.

"I.. belong here." She spoke softly.

I was mad, I was angry, but only a smirk stretched on a corner of my lips. "Tch. After all that pain and suffering your father put me through for the sake of not revealing your true identity, to protect you and here you are, living in the Hyuga compound." Then, I rolled my eyes. "You're exposing yourself to the world, what was I sacrificed for?"

She bit her lip and remained silent, casting her gaze to the ground. If she felt guilty, she was not showing it. With a sigh, I pulled up my hoodie and disappeared into the dark after saying, "See you during the Chunnin exams."

"Sakura!" She yelled. I was still there, moulded with the dark. "Are you.. against Konoha?"

"That isn't a question."

She clenched her fist with shaky hands, but her voice was even. "If you are, I will capture you according to the rules."

"If you can." With that, I left for good until our next meeting.

🌻 I kept my encounter with Sakura a secret. Even though she attacked us, she was still my dearest friend, but that was not an excuse to let her go if she ever harm the village. The thought of it pains me. I could have arrested her for attacking us, but there was not a confirmation that she was the one behind it. The fact that she went rogue, I guess it was true. The next time I see her, I have to bring her to the Hokage. Perhaps if she apologised, the Hokage would allow her to be a part of us again. However, I doubt she would ever want to come back.

All these years, what happened? She was the same, but also changed.. in what way? I could not tell.

"Hinata! It's your turn to spar with me!" Naruto's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Oh.. right, okay." I got up from the grass and brushed off all the leaves and grasses sticking into my clothes. "Let's go."

Sasuke rested on top of a tree branch after sparring with Naruto. Looking at how tired he looked, Naruto must have grown a lot stronger. Looking at Naruto, he looked exhausted as well.

"Why don't you rest first? You look as worn out as Sasuke."

He grinned, "It's fine Hinata! We have to train our stamina anyway!"

He sure has grown a lot. It made me smile. "That's true, we'll fight a lot when the exam starts."

🌸 "This place is quite fine." My master said as he walked around the Hyuga compound with me following behind.

"Yes, well, it was. This place used to look more beautiful and lively before the massacre."

He hummed a little before saying, "I could have lived here and enjoy the company of a crowd." He sounded genuinely sad, just a little. However, I knew he always felt lonely all these while, even when I am right beside him.

I was always an insignificant person.

"Bring me to the main house." He ordered.

I directed him to the left, "This way, Master Toneri."
