🌻After hours of training, I finally made it to the top of the tree, followed by Naruto and Sasuke. They were an hour later than my success; I had the chance to witness the change of colour of the clouds above me. First a cotton white, then a greyish tone. It looked as thought a storm was coming, but I felt something nastier than that.

The other two celebrated for a short while when they reached the top, I smiled at their little happy dance, but I could not shake off my unease. When we looked down to receive further orders, Kakashi was already gone.

Did he see us run all the way to the top?

"Man. That Kakashi-sensei ran away when we're finally at the top!" Whined Naruto.

"Let's go down." Sasuke said and ran all the way down again.

It was probably due to distraction that I slipped on my way down the tree and fell into the air. The wind caught my scream as I prepared myself for a possible deadly impact; I had my eyes tightly closed and arms covering my head in hopes that it would at least do something.

Suddenly, a strong boost of chakra came towards me, then it disappeared the moment I felt an arm behind my back and another below my knees. I slowly opened my eyes and caught the gaze of a blonde.

"N-Naruto." I gasped. For that short moment, I felt my heart leap.

We landed with a heavy thud and he set me down on the ground with his arm still around my shoulder because I was still shaking from the frightening fall.

"T-Thank you.."

"No problem, Hinata-chan!" He grinned. "Can you walk?"

"Yeah.." I steadied myself and walked towards Tazuna's house with Naruto by my side.

That chakra.. It was Naruto's..?

I glanced at him and saw him daydreaming with a cheeky expression.

Is that even possible..? This.. This knucklehead.. My eyes twitched.

When we reached Tazuna's house, we found two bodies on the ground and Sasuke was standing next to it. He saw us and we could tell from his expression that something bad happened.

The first thing that rang in my mind was Sakura.

🌸 When I reached where Tazuna was, he was gone. So were three of my clones.

Where is he?!

From behind, I could sense someone coming.

"BEHIND YOU SAKURA!!!" A voice yelled desperately.

I spun to the back, but I was too late.

Blood splattered all over me. Zabuza's sword was once again covered by blood. However, it wasn't mine.

No..

Tears start to swell in my eyes.

No...

A tear flowed down my cheeks, but before it could drip onto the ground, the thumb of my saviour wiped it away with a smile on his face.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! YOU ASSHOLE!" I yelled from the top of my lungs and landed a punch on Zabuza.

He flew back and I sped towards him. I punched him to the ground and the impact created a crater. I leaped up and landed a kick on his abdomen, causing him to spit out blood which stained his mask over his face. Giving the white bandages a bright colour of red. I was going to punch him again, but I was kicked on my abdomen and flew backwards. My shinobi boots scratched the concrete floor with a sharp shriek and I gave myself a boost, then punched my attacker, but he looked at me with eyes of a murderer. He caught my fist and tried to land a punch on me with his free hand.

He looks quite beaten up.

I caught his fist and both of us struggled with both of our hands occupied. Suddenly, he was kicked and thrown to his side. I looked up and saw Kakashi.

"Kakashi-sensei!" I gasped in relief. What grudge I had towards him vanished for only a short moment.

"Tazuna is safe. I'll take care of him, now go heal Sasuke!"

I nodded in reply and ran to Sasuke who shielded me from the sword.

I got on both of my knees, then started healing the wide gash on his back. Thankfully, he had his face facing downwards, so I did not have to hurt him by turning him around. I gathered chakra on my palms, then it entered his body and focused on his wound.

🌻 When we reached the unfinished bridge, Sasuke dashed into the thick mist. Before he went, I caught a glimpse of his eyes. It was red.

The Sharingan...

"Wait, Sasuke!" Naruto called after him, but he was long gone.

"Let's go, Naruto." I grabbed his hand and pulled him into the mist.

"Dammit. This mist is so thick I can't see a thing!" Naruto muttered loudly.

I tried to see through the mist, but Naruto was right, it was really thick.

It was desperation to see in the mist that led me to the thought of yielding the Byakugan. If I truly am the child of a Hyuga clan, then it would be possible for me to posses the Kekkei Genkai.

Upon realising that, I focused chakra onto my eyes and sure enough, I could see six people and four clones. Focusing chakra to a spot was no easy feat, maybe it was fate that Kakashi decided to train us this subject earlier. A man which I assumed is Tazuna, was surrounded by four clones. Another person was standing in the middle of the mist, spreading chakra around. Another man was slowly walking towards Tazuna. A figure which I assumed was Sasuke ran towards the figure spreading chakra which I knew was Sakura. The last two figures were fighting quite close to where Naruto and I stood.

One of them must be Kakashi-sensei!

"Come, Naruto!" I pulled his hand because he did not have the ability to see past this blanket of mist.

Once we could hear the sound of weapons clashing and Kakashi came into view, he spotted us immediately.

"Bring Tazuna to somewhere safe and protect him!" He ordered.

"Yes!"

I dragged Naruto along with me and sped to bring Tazuna out of the radius of the mist while destroying all of Sakura's clones. In the midst of bringing Tazuna to safety, the person who was walking towards him vanished. Apparently, he prioritised his partner than his mission; he saved Zabuza from being killed by Kakashi.

They were not our only obstacle, when we succeeded in leaving the blanket of heavy mist, we almost bumped into a gang led by a man who looked wealthy.

🌸 Once Zabuza and his partner, Haku was gone, a large number of men equipped with weapons surrounded all of us. Hinata and Naruto instantly brought Tazuna closer to where Kakashi, Sasuke and I stood.

"Hmph. And they call him the demon of the hidden mist. What a joke." An old man holding a fancy walking stick snorted. "Get them, boys!"

With a wave of hand, his men charged at us.

"Oh no you don't."

My Hundred Seal was still activated, so I took down all of them single handedly with ease. None of them were ninjas, just ordinary men with some weapons.

All of my teammates looked at me with awe while Kakashi was stunned that I could activate it at such a young age. Maybe he was surprised that I knew of it when most of the village's population knew nothing of the sort. After all, there is only one other person who has this ability.

"W-What?! What kind of monster are you?!" The rich man demanded with fear.

"Damn, b-bitch!" Another man stuttered.

"So you are the one who targeted Tazuna?" I asked.

"Yes. This bridge will greatly affect-"

"I didn't ask why."

He gulped nervously and begun to shake as if he was going to pee in his pants.

"Tazuna..." Kakashi eyed Tazuna and he himself found himself guilty for tricking us to accomplish a B-rank mission.

"Don't ever target Tazuna again or I'll kill you myself with my bare hands." I warned.

The man whimpered and quickly ran away like a coward, following him were his remaining few followers.

"Sakura.. How-" Kakashi started.

I raised my hand to stop him from continuing his question.

"I'll answer you if you answer mine."

🌻 Sakura's strength is unbelievably strong. When we trained, she never showed me that skill of hers.

I gazed at Sakura with a sad expression. It would be a lie if I said I was not disappointed or the slightest bit angry.

Kakashi sighed when he heard her and nodded.

"We'll return tomorrow and you'll get all the answers from the Hokage himself."

Sakura looked at us sideways and nodded, then she head to Tazuna's house to rest.

After dinner, Sakura was the first to leave the table. Apparently, she told Tazuna's daughter to prepare very little food for her. Sasuke quickly shoved the meal down his system and went to where Sakura headed.

I guess now Sasuke is the only one she doesn't mind talking to..

When I thought of that, it felt like a knife pierced through my heart and it cramped lightly.

🌸 I sat at the corridors and faced the lake with my feet dangling down, almost touching the water. Light footsteps were heard and I recognised the familiar chakra.

"What do you want?" I asked stoically.

"I just wanted to breathe some fresh air." He answered, then sat next to me.

Silence befall us as we stared at the reflection of the round moon on the surface of the lake. A gentle wind blew and lightly flicked my hair towards Sasuke. I could feel his head move, so I turned and caught him staring at me. The moon dimly shine on his pale face and his dark black orbs contrasted perfectly. His face nicely framed by the strands of hair on each side of his face.

"What?" I finally spoke.

He closed his eyes and shook his head, then looked ahead again.

"Nothing."

"You're weird!" I frowned, he was not being cooperative.

"Well, it has been a long time since we were this close."

I sighed as I stared at the pitch black sky, illuminated by the moon and some twinkling stars. It was cloudless, but was it a good thing? I quite enjoy watching them move across the sky, as if travelling the Earth and watch over us.

"Back then, our clan hated each other. I can't openly talk to you. Plus, your brother slaughtered my clan–well, the people I grew up with." My voice becoming more like a whisper as the last sentence escaped my lips.

"...Do you still hate him? Even after knowing you're not a Hyuga anymore?"

His question hit me like a rock.

Do I?

I don't know..

"I did grew up with whom he slaughtered. I guess I still do hate him.." I muttered, mainly answering myself.

"Okay, I won't talk about this." He said finally.

"But I want you to know.." He grabbed my hand while still looking at whatever is in front of him. "I'm always here to listen to you and receive your wrath." He finally faced me with a smile on his face.
