Chapter Three
Fianna glanced over at her sister—well, more like she glanced over at herself. "So, what are we going to do about this?" she asked brightly, tipping her head to the side slightly.
The other she-cat rolled her eyes. "Maybe if you would quit asking that every three seconds we could come up with an answer!" she snapped. Fianna folded her ears back, looking hurt. "Sorry," Fiona muttered.
"It's alright," responded the gray she-cat, her sister's sky blue eyes quickly lighting back up with her usual cheerful attitude. It's so weird to see my own body with my sister's emotions and posture and attitude and voice. . . "Does your silent brooding give you brilliant ideas? Have you been coming up with a solution over there while you've been sulking?" she teased lightly.
Fiona gave a sour hiss. "Quit making fun of me! And, mind you, I have been trying to come up with a solution . . . instead of just asking over and over about it!" The she-cat stood up, still seeming awkward and uncomfortable in the other's body. "We should find some other cats who know what's going on. I'm sure this isn't random—for all we know, it's a common thing for twin sisters!"
"I doubt that, but it's better than sitting around and brooding," the gray tabby responded, standing up and starting to skip away. Fiona let out a groan and followed her.
"Wait up!"

Fiona let out a groan as she stumbled into a small clearing. Her paws felt numb from walking, and her leg muscles had given out. Well, to be more accurate, her sister's leg muscles had given up. Fianna was skipping alongside, seeming as unusually cheery, except with ten times the creepiness as she used her sister's body.
"What's wrong?" the tabby asked, tilting her head to the side with concern. "Why did you fall?"
"Your stupid weak body isn't strong enough to keep going," Fiona grunted, trying to right herself as soreness throbbed in her flanks.
"Well at least my sharp tongue wasn't switched to your body," quipped Fianna, her tail twitching playfully. "But seriously. . . are you alright? I like teasing you, but I don't want you to get hurt."
"I'm fine," Fiona responded lightly. "Just take a few steps back, wouldya'? I can hardly move when you're crowding next to me!" Fianna obeyed, smoothly taking a few steps back, her sister's sky blue eyes blinking eerily.
Fiona struggled to stand up, her paws feeling large and swollen. "How did I deal with you being this slow all the time?" she grumbled as she stumbled alongside her sister as they continued to move through the forest. A silence settled over them as they walked, side by side, hobbling through the spruces. Finally, Fianna spoke.
"Well, for starters, we don't normally walk a million tree-lengths in a day," she mrrowed in amusement. Fiona let out a soft laugh, glad that it was her sister, not any other cat, by her side.
