Insanity
Phineas and Ferb got home in record time and they immediately started on a new ray that would possibly get rid of all of Isabella's arrogance and narcissism.
"Ferb, this is perfect!" Phineas exclaimed, genunely excited for the first time in months to be creating something.
Ferb clicked away at his phone and said, "Isabella's coming over soon."
"I miss Isabella so much! Do you think she'll fall in love with me again? Because now I know for sure I love her!" Phineas gushed.
"Just be sure it's love and not your desperation for an Isabella that didn't have a mirror obsession," Ferb muttered.
Phineas laughed but it quickly died down as he rethought his newest revelation. He knew he sometimes made impulsive decisions but he would never go too quickly on how he felt. Sure, he felt things quick and hard and all at once but never on how he felt about someone...right?
"Phineas! Ferb! I heard there was talk of a mirror themed amusement park?" Isabella tiptoed up the stairs.
Phineas immediately tensed up and Ferb hid the ray gun behind his back.
Lights beamed into the room as Isabella walked in and Phineas rushed to close the curtain so her dress made of tiny mirrors and sequins wouldn't blind them all.
"So? Where is it?" Isabella lifted her cat eye-like shades.
Phineas could see Ferb calculating ways to get past her ridiculous mirror outfit and tried to buy him time.
"Oh, um, did you have any other things you wanted me to...install mirrors on?"
"Oh, actually yes!"
Isabella turned her full attention to Phineas and when her back was facing Ferb, he swiftly pointed the ray at her and fired.
"What the!"
Isabella screeched and struggled against the light but it paralyzed her. Isabella's face softened and she stopped moving.
Phineas tensed up when she didn't seem to be breathing.
"Ferb-"
Suddenly, her eyes snapped open and her face burned red.
The light disappeared and she began to slowly move. Her neck cricked, back and forth, and she stretched out her arms. An angry look gleamed in her eyes as she stared at Phineas.
"I...Isabella?" Phineas was slightly nervous. He'd never seen her look so angry.
Isabella walked towards Phineas' desk chair. Time seemed to slow down as Isabella picked it up and violently threw it at him.
Phineas crashed to the floor causing the chair to miss him and ripped through his wall.
Ferb and Phineas stared at her in horror as she let out a murderous shriek.
"Phineas! I'll kill you!" Isabella screamed as she charged towards him.
Phineas scrambled out the door, "W-Wait! Izzy! We can talk about this!"
"How dare you call me Izzy!" Isabella yelled, running after him.
Ferb was right on her heels, trying to catch her and calm her down.
Phineas ran through his kitchen and Isabella picked up a stack of plates, slinging them at him.
"Wait! Is it about your outfit? I'm sorry! We can add more mirrors!" Phineas shouted, slipping out the door of his house.
"Who cares about mirrors?! This is about me and you, carrot top! No one hurts Isabella Garcia-Shapiro and gets away with it!" She roared.
"Feeeeerb! I thought this ray was supposed to turn her back!" Phineas cried out.
"Well, it certainly got rid of her love for mirrors," Ferb called, pointing out the several mirrors that had fallen off Izzy's dress.
Phineas was running out of energy and knew he was gonna die if Isabella caught him so with one last burst of determination, he sped up and dashed into his backyard. He locked the fence door. Isabella didn't catch him and ran past his yard and down the street.
"I'll find you, Phineas!!!" Isabella laughed maniacally.
Phineas gasped, trying to catch his breath. Once he was sure that they were long gone, he ran up to his room and grabbed the ray gun, examining it furiously, wondering why it had turned her into a raging bull.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Phineas had been working on the ray gun for weeks. He had been tinkering with it but every time he had tried it on a tiny toy robot but it just seemed to get worse.
Recently, it had tried to lop off his head while crying about the miseries of becoming self-aware.
"Phineas, it's been three weeks. We can't keep Isabella away from you forever," Buford said as he and Baljeet crawled into the little hidey-hole Phineas had stuck himself in.
It was actually a room inside the backyard tree that Phineas had stumbled upon when Isabella had stormed into his room and he jumped out the window and into a trampoline he had ordered just for that situation.
He had been living there for the past few weeks until he could perfect the ray that would turn Isabella back to normal.
"I can't believe she actually hasn't searched for you here," Baljeet piped up.
"She almost did but I made a cloaking devise," Phineas murmured, frantically writing down some new equations and just as quickly erasing them.
"Is....Is this a dent??? In the tree???" Baljeet asked, gingerly feeling the dent in the tree room.
"Maybe I should become a Fireside Girl..." Buford said, impressed.
"Actually, she was on a bit of a sugar rush," Ferb said with disinterest and pulled out his phone.
"Shhhh! I think I got something!" Phineas cried out, jumping up and pacing around the room.
They all immediately shut up and watched as Phineas threw up some blueprints and equations on a dry-erase board.
They were all hoping Phineas had finally got it considering the tree room was starting to smell. Phineas had tried to keep up with daily routines while stuck in the tree but it proved too difficult when Isabella was always stalking nearby and eventually he stopped caring about his appearance and had probably eaten about thirty cheeseburgers in his race to get back the love of his life.
"Great googli-moogli! I got it! I got it!" Phineas shouted and rushed to tweak his Ray, hopefully the last time.
Actual tears streamed down his cheeks as he held it up proudly.
"Where's Isabella?" He asked.
"Phineas!!! I heard you! Where are you?!" Isabella roared outside.
"W-Wait, Phineas, you can't just shoot this at her blindly. She might have a way to deflect you like you did when she tried to make you love her," Baljeet pointed out.
"If it comes back at me, I'll just be myself, remember?" Phineas replied.
Ferb presses a button on the wall that opened the secret door to reveal Isabella who was at the other side of the yard.
"Found you!" Isabella sneered and raced towards Phineas.
Fear jolted through Phineas and with closed eyes, he shot aimlessly.
Luckily for Phineas, his luck found him again and made sure his shot found Isabella.
Isabella yelped when she froze in midair and fell to the ground.
"Isabella!" Phineas yelled and ran to her.
He approached her with hesitation but picked her head up gently to make sure she was still alive.
Isabella's eyes flew open and when she recognized Phineas, a blush flushed her face.
"P-Phineas!" Isabella was suddenly alert and scrambled away from him with scared eyes.
"Isabella, I'm so sorry, I-"
"N-No! I...you...there's nothing to worry about....I...we can't see each other anymore," Isabella stood up and brushed off the dirt.
"Isabella, you're you again! I need to tell you something!" Phineas grabbed Isabella's hand and she twirled to face him. Fear and panic were written in her eyes.
"Isabella, I love you! Over the past few weeks, I've realized that I missed everything about you and I...I love everything about you! Your gorgeous eyes, your sweet smile, a-and the way you say my name makes me melt! I...I can't bear to think of a future without you..." Phineas confessed.
Isabella stared at him and Phineas gulped. He moved closer to her and used one hand to cup her face and inch her closer. His eyes closed and he came in to kiss her.
Isabella flinched and pushed him away with a sad laugh.
"Phineas, don't you see? This is all a mistake! You never would've fallen in love with me if...if all this didn't happen! These terrible emotion inventions and that stupid body switch machine! Maybe...maybe I should shut up and just let this happen. I mean, you're in love with me for fireside's same! This is what I wanted! So why doesn't it feel right?"
Isabella paced around the yard and the boys watched her, Phineas with more confusion than the rest.
"I...I've lost myself in all this..." She whispered.
Isabella turned to Phineas and softly kissed his cheek.
"Goodbye, Phineas...."
Ferb held Phineas back as they watched Isabella leave, unbeknownst to all of them, for the last time.
Sorry this took forever! As you know, I've kinda lost inspiration but I made a promise to finish this and I shall! Worry not my phinbella shippers! The last chapter will be out sooner than you think! Thank you for being so patient and coming with me in this long ass journey! Hopefully this doesn't disappoint!
