Chapter 4 - Sparks
Hazel's POV
"Not yet. I will tell you as soon as I will be ready to talk about it." Celeste promised sadly.
"Fine. Don't forget you can count on me." I said warmly.
"Thank you, Haze. See you later."
"See you."
As soon as I hand up the phone, the door opened, and my older brother, Joshua, stormed in, slamming the door behind him.
"Did you have a fight with that bitc... Rebecca?" I gave him a mischievous smirk.
Rebecca and he had been dating for a year. No one in our family liked that girl, but my parents didn't intervene in their relationship.
That girl was a manipulative bitch. I loathed her so much. I was sure that she was with my brother just for his money. She became a blogger and model after making the front page with my brother and kept sharing her photos with my brother to get more followers. Besides, that bitch had been asking my brother to buy her clothes, bags, shoes and jewelers from luxurious brands. Moreover, as soon as they started dating that bitch moved in with my brother, telling him that she had a fight with her flat mate. Despite all these things, my stupid brother was still with her without listening to our warnings.
Joshua rolled his eyes without telling me anything and went upstairs, looking furious. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion as I stood up and looked behind him. Was happened to him? I had never seen him like this before.
I sighed and followed him. He went to his room, where he stayed when he spent the night here, and slammed the door behind him, ignoring me.
Rude!
I gritted my teeth and took a few breaths to calm down. Then I knocked on the door and opened it.
"Leave me alone!" Joshua snapped angrily as he threw his suit onto the bed.
I sighed and approached him. "What happened? You have been beside yourself since your vacation."
My brother pursed his lip together, resting his hands on his hips, and heaved a loud sigh, closing his eyes. "Everything is fine. I am just tired. I want to rest."
"Are you like this because of Rebecca? Did you have fight on a vacation?"
"Hazel! Please... I want to rest." Joshua replied, bored and sat down on the bed, looking into the space.
I sighed. "Fine, but if you want to talk, I am downstairs." I said softly, resting my hand on his
shoulder. He nodded.

After checking myself in the mirror one more time, I grabbed my bag and left my room. Today Jayden and I were going to a horse riding club. He was waiting for me in front of the gates.
It had been a month since Jayden and I started dating. I missed him terribly when I didn't see him. It was always fun to be with him; he was so romantic. Every Monday a bouquet of fresh flowers was waiting for me in my office. He told me that he wants me to start my week with good vibes; so fresh flowers would make it be a good week.
When I was about to leave, I heard my brother's angry voice coming from the study room. I frowned, puzzled and approached the study room. The door was ajar.
"I am not interested. Just find her." He snapped angrily and hung up the phone. Then he kicked the chair furiously, cursing.
"Who are you looking for?"I asked curiously as I walked into the room.
"No one!" Joshua replied curtly and ran his hand through his hair, closing his eyes.
"Did Rebecca run away with someone else?" I asked, giving him a teasing smirk.
"Hazel!" He exclaimed in frustration and stormed out.
I frowned in confusion and sighed, shaking my head before leaving the mansion.
"Hey, doll." Jayden gave me a charming smile and kissed my cheek as soon as I got in his car. I beamed at him as he entwined our hands and rested them on his thigh after starting the engine.

"Amusement Park?" I asked, excited as Jayden parked his car.
He nodded, giving me a charming smile. "Let's have fun like children today." Jayden winked at me as he held my hand and placed a kiss on top of my hand. I nodded happily and gave him a bright smile.
As soon as we got out of the car, Jayden approached me and held my hand.
I was looking around in awe while we were strolling, holding each other's hands.
"Let's start with the roller coaster." Jayden suggested, pointing to the attraction.
I bit my lower lip nervously and looked at the roller coaster as I remembered the first and only time I rode this attraction. I was trembling in fear and got off it with Celeste and my brother's help when it finally stopped. I could imagine how my face looked like because Joshua kept repeating in fear that Dad would kill him. Our parents didn't know we were there; we skipped the class and came to the theme park secretly.
"Are you afraid of this?" Jayden asked, amused, raising his eyebrow.
"No, of course not." I mumbled nervously.
Jayden gave me an unconvinced look and pursed his lips together, trying to hold his smile.
"Really. Fine, let's go." I stated confidently and dragged him towards the roller coaster by holding his hand.
As the roller coaster started moving down a hill, I grabbed Jayden's hand, screaming in fear, and
squeezed my eyes shut, praying that it ended soon.
I furrowed my eyebrows, folding my arms over my chest, and gave Jayden a dirty look as he was
holding his laugh barely after we had finally got off the attraction. He burst out laughing.
"Jayden!" I warned him.
"I... am sorry." He raised his hands up, trying to hold his smile, but he burst out laughing again.
"I am leaving. Stay here and laugh as much as you want." I stated dryly and walked away.
"Hazel!" Jayden called me and grabbed my arm, stopping me. "I am really sorry. Why didn't you tell me? We would find another ride." He added warmly and caressed my cheek affectionately. "My hand still hurts." He added jokingly, giving me a teasing look.
I gave him a dirty look and pulled my head away.
"Haze... Sorry. Let me make it up to you." Jayden gave me an apologetic look "Come on." He said and led me towards the shooting games area.
"Am I forgiven?" He asked hopefully, giving me a boyish smile as he extended the white teddy bear, which he won, towards me.
"You have to thank to the teddy." I said cockily and took the teddy bear.
He chuckled and placed a kiss on top of the head of the teddy bear. I burst out laughing.
Jayden winked at me devilishly and grabbed my hand. "Let's eat something. I am hungry." I nodded, giving him a warm smile.
After eating hotdogs, he bought me the cotton candy. Then we rode the bumper cars. He had kept bumping to my car to tease me. We had a lot of fun there.
"Thank you for today. It was fun." I gave him a grateful smile while we were strolling, holding each other's hands.
"We aren't leaving now. Coming to the theme park and not riding the Ferris wheel? It is unacceptable." He commented cheerfully and shook his head. I smiled, amused as he led us towards the Ferris wheel.
I was enjoying the view while Jayden was holding me against his chest by wrapping his arm around my shoulder. It was sunset; so the scenery was magical.
When I turned my head towards Jayden, our eyes met. My heart started beating faster while I was lost in his dazzling ocean blue eyes. There were a few inches between our lips. Jayden cupped my cheek as he traveled his gaze from my eyes to my lips.
It felt like the time stopped when he brushed his lips against mine. I felt butterflies in my stomach. He wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me closer to him while we were sharing our first kiss. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he deepened the kiss.
