Chapter 36 - Possessive hearts

Kayden's POV

Liam gave me a knowing smirk, gesturing to our children. I rolled my eyes and looked at the kids. They were hugging each other, looking happy.

These two little devils! They're glued to my daughter again!

Daisy held both boys' hands, and they walked towards the slide cheerfully. I gritted my teeth in annoyance while watching them.

"I have told you," Liam whispered in my ear mischievously and tapped on my back.

I gave my friend a dirty look. "Pray, they are little. Otherwise, I will wring their necks," I stated firmly. Liam roared with laughter. "Liam!" I warned him angrily.

"I am curious which one will be your future son-in-law," my friend commented playfully, looking at our children while rubbing his chin, pretending to think.

"Liam, shut up!" I exclaimed, irritated and walked towards my daughter in quick steps.

"Cutie pie," I called Daisy softly.

"Daddy!" She ran towards me, giving me a cheeky smile.

I beamed at her as I bent down, opening my arms. She threw herself into my arms and circled her little arms around my neck. I placed a tender kiss on her hair and picked her up.

"Let's go home, my sweet girl," I told her, caressing her hair affectionately.

"No, Daddy. I want to play with Luke and Axel more," she pouted, looking at me with puppy eyes.

"Daddy has a meeting in two hours. I have to get ready before your uncle comes to pick me up," I said softly and kissed her chubby cheek. "You will play with them next time," I added to convince her.

"Fine," she mumbled sadly. I gave her a tender smile and tapped on her nose playfully.

When Daisy and I arrived home, she went to her room to play with her dolls. After sending a message to my assistant about the file I wanted from her, I went to my bedroom to take a shower.

When I tiptoed into the room, trying not to wake up Hazel, I noticed that she was reading a pregnancy book while leaning against the headboard. My wife beamed at me and placed the book beside her on the bed.

"Doll, how do you feel? Nausea? Dizziness?" I asked softly, approaching her.

"I am fine." She gave me a dazzling smile, brightening my day.

"Great! Did you sleep well?" I asked after placing a chaste kiss on her lips.

"Yes, I did." Hazel nodded, resting her hand on her baby bump as I sat down beside her on the bed. "The doctor's appointment is at 11 a.m. the day after tomorrow, isn't it? I told my assistant this morning not to schedule a meeting in the morning this Friday," I asked, caressing her belly gently.

"Yes, it is at 11 a.m. this Friday."

"I hope this time our little ones let us find out their genders," I commented excitedly and planted a soft kiss on her belly. "I found out some boy names if one or both of them are boys. How about Colton and Lucas? If it is a boy and girl, then it will match with Lucy," I suggested, stroking her belly gently.

"Lucas?... Umm..."

Suddenly, my phone rang, interrupting Hazel. I sighed and pulled my phone out of my pocket and looked at the screen. It was my twin brother.

"Sorry, I have to pick it up. It is Jay," I said as I stood up and walked away, picking up my phone.

After talking to Jayden, I went to take a shower and get ready for the meeting.

Once I put on my black suit jacket, I grabbed my phone and went downstairs.

When I walked into the living room, Jayden was here talking to my wife.

"Kade." He stood up, giving me a friendly smile, and greeted me with a hug. "If you are ready, we may leave," he added as he pulled back.

"Yes, let's go."

"Daddy!" Daisy exclaimed loudly, running into the living room while holding a stuffed bunny in her hand.

She stopped, furrowing her eyebrows, and traveled her gaze from me to Jayden and vice versa. I gave Jayden a knowing smile as I understood she was trying to identify which one was her father.

"Daddy?" she mumbled unsurely, approaching my brother.

"Cutie pie," I said warmly as she looked at Jayden, hesitated.

"Daddy!" she exclaimed happily and rushed towards me, raising her arms up, asking me to pick her up in my arms. My brother, Hazel and I burst out laughing.

"My sweet girl!" I commented tenderly and picked up my precious daughter in my arms. I kissed her chubby cheeks and pressed her into my chest tightly.

"Daddy, are you leaving?" she asked sadly, still holding her bunny in his hand.

"Yes, my cutie pie. But I will come back soon," I promised and planted a soft kiss on her cheek.

"Don't forget about dinner at my parents'," Hazel reminded me as she approached me, resting her hand on her belly.

I nodded and placed a chaste kiss on my wife's lips. "See you later, my angels."

After kissing my daughter's cheek one more time, I gave her to Hazel.

"Bye, bye, Daddy." Daisy gave me a cheeky smile, waving her hand.

"Where is the uncle's kiss?" Jayden asked Daisy, pretending to be offended.

Daisy raised her arms towards my twin brother. Jayden smiled at her warmly and picked up my daughter in his arms.

"Goodbye, little imp," Jayden said warmly and kissed her temple.

As I parked my car in front of the Sullivan mansion, I got out of the car and rushed towards the passenger seat. I opened the door for Hazel and held out my hand towards her. She thanked me, resting her hand on mine and got out of the car. Then I picked up Daisy and held my wife's hand, leading her towards the mansion.

When we walked into the mansion, Hazel's parents and Joshua approached us happily. As always, they forgot about us as soon as they saw Daisy. Mila took her granddaughter and went into the living room, followed by Tristan and Joshua.

"Here we go again! Are we invisible?" I scowled, furrowing my eyebrows. "Yesterday my parents, now yours."

Hazel smiled, amused. "No, baby. We just made a perfect girl." She winked at me playfully.

I smirked devilishly, nodding. "Yes, we made her," I agreed proudly as I held her hand and placed a soft kiss on top of her hand.

"When is your next doctor's appointment?" Mila asked Hazel while we were having dinner.

"This Friday. We are going to find out their genders," Hazel replied excitedly.

"Don't forget to inform us as soon as you find out," Tristan said firmly. Hazel and I nodded.

"Did you think about the names for the babies?" Mila asked curiously.

"If they are a girl and a boy, it will be Lucy for the girl. If they are both girls, then they will be Lucy and Lily," Hazel replied softly, intertwining our hands.

"We haven't decided names for boys, but they could be Colton and Lucas. If they are a girl and a boy, then Lucas is better. It matches with the name Lucy," I commented, smiling happily.

Mila and Joshua looked at Tristan nervously while he was squeezing the fork tightly. I gave him a puzzled look. Why did he get angry out of nowhere?

"Never! My grandchild will never be named Lucas, the same as that prick. Name him Leo, Leon, Levi, Leopold, or whatever you want, but not Lucas," Tristan stated furiously as he placed his fork onto his plate loudly.

"Tristan, calm down, honey," Mila told her husband softly, resting her hand on his forearm.

He heaved a loud sigh and looked at us as he rested his hand on top of his wife's hand. "Find another name for my grandchild."

"Sure, Dad. His name won't be Lucas," Hazel intervened, giving her father a reassuring smile. Tristan nodded, breathing deeply. I looked at my wife in confusion. She mouthed me that she would explain everything later.

"Oh... Now I understand his reaction. I wouldn't let my grandchild have the same name as well if I were in his place," I commented honestly as Hazel finished explaining why Tristan got mad because of the name Lucas while we were leaning against the headboard. He was right to be against naming his grandchild Lucas, the name of the man who tried to steal the love of his life, despite the fact that man's intention was to help Mila.

"Hmm... Really?" she asked seductively, leaning towards me while caressing my bare chest gently.

"Yes, I am a possessive man, my doll," I stated cockily and smashed my lips against her lips, kissing my wife passionately. She ran her hand through my hair as I laid her down on the bed and cupped her breast over her lace nightie, making her moan.

"Your breasts are bigger. I like them," I said huskily and kissed Hazel's neck, breathing in her seductive scent.
