The Relic Characters, (Snazzily updated)

So if you guys have been around WAAAAAY back since book 1, you'll remember in the earlier chapters that I posted the characters for the Relic, a book I was writing at the time.
Now that I'm rewriting it, I figured the characters would need a neato redo as well

First off, I gotta say. Stories now have protagonists that are wayyy too young. I'm talking little children put up against the world in order to save it.
Aaraths used to be sixteen
Now he's sixty
And oh boy the change was welcome

So this is Aarath
He lives in a little village on the southern edge of the continent. He's never married or had children and he generally has spent all of his life doing his own thing, nothing extraordinary.
In this part of his life, he's found a sort of company in the dragons that he takes care of while they wait to be tamed by worthy young adults of the village.

This is Aarath (the young smol boi version) and Mandor.

Mandor was little, a dragonet, by the time he was put in the stables for Aarath to take care of. He grew up with Aarath as a caretaker and only now he's big enough and dangerous enough to murder men
He's getting a little out of hand. And his magical abilities have always made Aarath uneasy...

Maybe fifty years before the time of The Relic, the artifact that supplied the continent with magic went missing.

Falmina was ruled by two kings at that time, a human named Vannis, and Charbannus, a fiery beast big enough to squash his human counterpart with one foot.

When the artifact went missing, Charbannus' anger got the best of him, he blamed Vannis for the relic's disappearance, and killed him.
That was how the war between dragon and humans began

These two are sea dragons named Gambrian, and his little sister Vallium.
See the continent is divided by who speaks Old Dragon and who speaks the Human language.
Gambrain grew up with Old Dragon, and when his sister hatched, he !Ade sure she was taught the human language so she would have people to talk to, as the old language was dying.

So they can't speak to each other, but they know each other's names in both languages. It's cute, I love them

Just a handful of characters here.

Anaria is the dragonkind's goddess, their deity who's been worshipped for her founding of Falmina and the first queen of dragons.

More Gambrian and Vallium (ugh I love them)

Cain is a good friend of Mandor's, they grew up together before Mandor was captured.

And the Blind Prophet's name is Clariss. I don't know how she will fit into the new story though...

To the north of the mountains likes the Frozen Wasteland, a vast desert home to the Sand Mages. They live underground in the bowels of the Great Stone Dragon, and use crows to monitor the use of magic all over the continent.

This is Ephron, one of the last remaining Sand Mages. He's old as time itself, basically, so his ancient ass is taken care of by Cyprus, his human stewardess. She makes sure he goes to bed on time and grinds his food up for him

Finally, these guys. The Triplets. They're pirates of the northern fishing cities. They don't have names (yet) or a super set role in the story (yet) but I love them :3.
Also they're really small and have hand-tailored human clothes (because some dragons are more humanlike than others, especially those who speak the human language)

And yeah that's everybody

Oh wait shit
I forgot Darreen
He's a bigass forest god dragon covered in flowers and junk and he's neat

I don't know where I put his drawing...?
