The Wedding - Part 1
Hey all, and welcome! I've been promising these bonus chapters for forever and a half, and I'll admit there was a point where I didn't think I'd actually come through, but I managed! For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, these chapters follow the events of my fic Crack of Sunlight, so if you haven't read that, you should before reading this!
For anyone who's read that and has clicked on this, thank you for being so patient. I hope these chapters meet your expectations and make the wait worth it! ♥

Levi had never been a man of tradition. Eren would be lying if he said that wasn't part of why he'd fallen so hard for him.
It took a month and a half to convince him to get married the 'proper' way, and even then it was difficult for him to commit to the idea.
"Let's just throw a party, then," he'd said several times over, to which Eren protested each time.
"But why don't you wanna have a real wedding?" Eren would ask.
"Because it's lame," Levi scoffed every time.
It took two weeks for him to ask, "Why do you wanna have a traditional wedding?"
"Because," Eren said, smiling, Levi comfortably in his lap, straddling his waist as they lounged on the couch one evening. "I wanna exchange vows and show everyone how much I love you, and to show you off, and to show that you're mine." Levi's eyes were beginning to soften, his hands resting lightly on Eren's chest as he imagined it all while Eren gently ran his fingers through Levi's hair. "I wanna see you in a tux, with your hair slicked back..." His fingers trailed to the undercut, scratching it gently the way he'd recently discovered Levi liked.
The raven hummed slightly, inclining his head at the sensation that left pleasant goosebumps down his back. "So... are you saying you want to wear a dress?" he asked, a brow hiked up and the corner of his mouth twitching upwards, hinting at a smile.
Eren's fingers automatically stilled. "Do... do you want me to?" he nearly squeaked. The softest of rosy hues dusted the smooth caramel of his cheeks.
Levi let out a snort, leaning his forehead down against Eren's. "You're saying you would?"
"Uhm..." Eren forced a swallow. "I mean... i-if you wanted me to..." He could feel the heat pricking at the skin of his face, the tips of his ears.
Levi's hands slid up to cradle his jaw, his thumbs skimming lightly over the flush in Eren's cheeks. "You want to do a proper wedding so badly that you'd go to the lengths of wearing a wedding gown if that's what it took to get me to agree," Levi said almost incredulously.
"Honestly?" Eren said softly, moving back again to see his lover's face better. "I think I would."
A shallow crease appeared between Levi's brows as he let Eren's words sink in for a moment, and then his mouth crashed right into his fiance's, eliciting a surprised squeak from him as he reeled at the unexpected impact before he moved to kiss back. It lasted only a moment before Levi broke contact and chuckled breathily.
"God, Eren..."
Blushing, Eren mumbled a small "What?"
"I swear you're going to be the death of me."
"Huh? Why?"
"You're just so damn... stubborn."
Eren's eyes suddenly flicked away. "I'm... sorry?"
"Don't be." Levi pulled him close again, placing a light kiss on his warm cheek. "I love that about you."
"I just want to make you happy, Levi."
"Brat. I know you do."
Eren moved his arms around Levi's waist and made a pillow out of his shoulder, closing his eyes. "Let me do this for you. Please."
The raven shifted a bit, swallowing as he considered. His hand trailed up to Eren's neck to gently play with the hair at the base of his head, enjoying the way the soft strands slid through his fingers. He felt the kid relax almost entirely against him, though his arms tightened a bit.
"Why should I?" he murmured. It wasn't in a malicious way; he genuinely wanted to know why Eren was so adamant about a more traditional wedding, aside from wanting to show off their love. There was something more there - Levi could feel it, and he knew with Eren that it was never just to show off and see him all dressed up.
"I told you why," Eren mumbled, reminding Levi of a grumpy little kid.
"But I know you better. I know there's more to it than that."
Levi heard Eren swallow. "Because you deserve it, Levi."
"And?"
Eren's shoulders twitched as he realized Levi could see right through him and he knew he'd have to give up the real answer - not that the ones he'd given before were lies. But the real reason, the main reason, entailed a subject he hated talking about and avoided thinking about as much as he absolutely could until it inevitably shoved its way to center stage before he fell asleep at night, counting Levi's soft breaths from the bed beside him. But he truly wanted this, and he knew Levi wasn't going to agree to it unless he came clean.
The brunet sat up again, finding Levi's gaze in the soft light from the few candles burning on the coffee table and the muted TV in the corner. He swallowed again to rid his throat of its semi-permanent lump and drew in a deep breath through his nose.
"Because I..." He huffed, watching Levi's left brow lift. "It's an experience I want you to have. I want you to know how it feels to get married in a... somewhat traditional way and I don't want you to regret it when it's too late. Y-y'know?"
And it only took half a second for Levi to understand, and then his hands were coming forward again to cup Eren's cheeks. "Love, listen to me," he murmured. "Everyone is going to die. Including the two of us. And not everyone is going to get the experience of a 'more traditional' wedding, or a wedding at all, or a marriage. My death being premature because of the shitty decisions I made in the past makes me no different from anyone in that respect."
"So... you're saying... you don't care if you have a traditional wedding in your lifetime?"
Levi gently pushed that stubborn strand away from Eren's eye, following through by running his fingers through his hair. He could just imagine Eren slicking his hair back, wearing a black tuxedo tailored just right for his lean, muscular, gorgeous figure - over his strong shoulders and down the curve of his back, around his waist and hugging his ass in just the right way, fitting his thighs though not too tightly and ending in neat hems and black, shiny shoes. A silver tie hanging neatly around his neck, sleeves buttoned around his wrists and that absolutely dazzling smile reserved just for Levi himself completing the look.
"I'll be honest," Levi said quietly, "the idea is growing on me."
And just like that, Eren's eyes brightened. "Really?"
"Yes. But I can mostly tell it's what you want. So I'll do it."
"Wait, seriously?" Eren was sitting up straighter, eyes almost frantically searching Levi's face for any hint of doubt.
"Yes, nerd. Really. I can see it's what will make you happy, and that's what this is about."
"So you're saying this will make you happy, too? Even though you've argued about it for the past several weeks?" Eren asked with a small grin.
Levi huffed and let his head drop down against Eren's chest. "Don't make me say some cheesy shit..." he groaned.
"What?" Eren asked, his smile widening as he slid his arms around the raven's slender waist. Something told him he knew what Levi was getting at but wanted to hear him say it anyway.
"You know, damn brat..."
The younger of the two let out a soft chuckle. "You mean that you're happy if I'm happy?" His arms tightened.
"Yeah...that kind of cheesy shit. You know."
Laughing more, Eren tilted his nose down into Levi's unruly black locks. "You're adorable," he mumbled affectionately into them.
Though Eren couldn't see, Levi had to roll his eyes. "Whatever," he mumbled back, thankful that Eren couldn't see the pink dusting over his cheekbones.

"God, I'm so sick of this planning shit..." Levi grumbled into his pillow one late evening after an exhausting day of working out all the details. He never knew there could be so much that needed planning, and his still weak body needed a damn break.
"Me too," Eren agreed, sinking down on the mattress beside him while running a comb through his damp hair. "But we only have a little less than two weeks to go until it'll all be over," he said with a smile.
Levi muttered something else that was unintelligible due to the pillow. Eren only chuckled and tapped his bare shoulder with the comb, signaling for him to sit up and comb his own hair before it dried sticking up - which it would, and it had.
The raven sighed as he lazily combed his hair over his forehead, parting it haphazardly before simply dropping the comb into his lap, yawning. Shaking his head, Eren retrieved the item and reached over to make it neater, knowing Levi would've muttered things to himself about it later.
"Are you not excited?" the younger couldn't help but ask at his fiancé's sigh.
"It's not that..." Levi breathed. "Just anxious for it to come so all the planning can be over. I'm on the verge of collapse."
Tossing the comb onto the dresser, Eren leaned in to kiss Levi's forehead. "Don't worry, love. I can take care of what's left. You just focus on your commissions for now." Eren couldn't imagine being in Levi's spot - trying to help plan the things he'd been assigned at the beginning while working on commissions and actually giving the tattoos, being several sessions on a couple large ones he had in the works, sitting with his machine in hand for hours on end. Eren was still merely doing assistant work around the shop for a few hours a week while doing manager work when Reiner either wasn't around or was working on tattoos. With that, he was sure he'd be fine to work on wedding plans; it wasn't anything he couldn't handle, and his body was still stronger than Levi's, who'd been clean for almost a year now.
"And leave your shitty ass to do it all and mess something up? Uh uh," Levi joked half-heartedly, leaning into Eren's naked chest.
The brunet couldn't help but grin as his hands came up to gently massage his beloved's shoulders. "Don't you worry about that. I've got Alex helping, too, remember? And with her keen eye, there's no way she'd let me mess something up."
"Mmph... touché, but still. It's shitty to leave you to do it all..."
"It's shittier to keep pushing you so hard, especially while you're still recovering. I promise I'll be fine."
Eren could feel the hesitation coming off Levi and sighed, gently pushing him back into the pillows and swinging a leg over to straddle his waist. "Since when are you the one to worry?" he mumbled almost affectionately into Levi's collarbone, his hands gently kneading the skin at his lover's hips.
Levi let a light sigh brush past his parted lips, his eyelids half shut and his body relaxing all too easily into the bed beneath him. Before he could answer, his mind seemed to be turning to mush at Eren's soft nips and kisses at the skin of his neck, over his tattoos and just beneath his jaw.
"I'm gonna take care of it all," Eren promised softly. "I'm gonna take care of you especially..." He gently nibbled at Levi's earlobe. "And then we'll have all the time in the world together..."
Levi wasn't about to ruin the moment by reminding Eren that they wouldn't; he instead let the man continue to coo sweet nothings at him, working his lips around his neck in loving nibbles and kisses, all the while gently massaging his ribs, his hips, even his thighs until one leg was nearly hiked around Eren's waist. Before long he could feel the slight tightening of his boxers and he pulled his lip between his teeth, grabbing a light fist of damp chocolate-colored locks. Eren hummed lightly as his lips found Levi's, his teeth gently prying the bottom from between Levi's to kiss him tenderly, slowly, with built up fervor and heat until Levi was putty in his hands, gasping hotly into his mouth and grabbing almost desperately at his neck.
Gradually, however, the kisses slowed down, Eren pulled back until only their lips were barely brushing and his hands rested gently on Levi's shoulders.
"What's the matter...?" the raven asked breathlessly.
Eren hummed, sitting forward a bit so his lashes brushed the other's forehead. "Nothing," he said quietly.
"Then why'd you stop?"
"You're tired."
"Hmph, I don't care."
"I do. Plus..." He trailed off, his fingers curling a bit.
"What, Eren?" Levi's eyes were fully open now and his hands pushed at Eren's chest, needing to see his face. Long dark lashes fluttered open and turquoise irises looked directly into stormy gray ones.
"Let's wait," he said. "Until the honeymoon."
Levi's frown was instantaneous. "Seriously?" he murmured, lifting a hand to brush Eren's cheek with the pad of a thumb. It was a mildly odd request to hear from Eren; despite the way he seemed, he harbored a surprisingly high sex drive (and Levi didn't mind it one bit).
"Seriously," Eren confirmed, eyes solemn. "I think it'll make it more meaningful if we wait..."
"Are you sure?" Levi asked, somewhat playfully hiking up a brow. "It's already been almost two weeks."
"Hmph, are you doubting me? I'm not that bad," Eren countered, grinning lightly. "Just imagine how it'll be after waiting a while...and in a suite with the Pacific right across the beach..." His smile grew as he pictured it in his head.
"God, you're hopeless," Levi muttered, though his tone didn't lack affection. He stretched up to kiss along Eren's jawline. "Alright. Let's wait, then."
"Thanks," the brunet murmured, shifting to the right to cuddle into Levi's side instead. The raven wrapped an arm around his shoulders, tracing random, thoughtful lines over his forearm.
"So you want to take over the rest of the planning, hm?" he asked after a while.
"To make it easier on you," Eren confirmed. "But it's not like there's much left to do."
"And you're sure you can handle it?"
"Do you doubt me?"
"No..."
"It'll be fine."
After another minute of consideration, Levi caved. "Alright. I'll leave it to you, then."
"Good." Eren tugged on his hand to kiss his palm before threading their fingers together and resting them on Levi's torso.
"I do have one condition, though," the artist said, shifting his eyes from finding patterns in the ceiling down to their hands.
"And that would be...?"
"First time on the honeymoon, I'm topping."
He felt Eren shift. "And why is that your condition?" he asked, evidently a bit skeptical. It wasn't as though Levi had never topped before - in fact, during the cases in which he had, both of them thoroughly enjoyed it. There was just something about the way Eren took control that drove him absolutely wild, and he tended to let the kid have his way.
"Because after you've planned all this on top of work and everything else and all is said and done, I am going to take care of you."
Eren couldn't help but smile.
