Veira Point of View

"This is what I get in the end. Imprisoned and accused of treason."

My reproach reached where it should, returning me with a harsh scowl from the person few meters away from me in the opposite cell.

"I was just a little rogue wolf living my life off swindling some bad rich people; why should I be the object of someone's obsession resulting into getting kidnapped and later imprisoned for something I didn't even know of. Did Moon Goddess shower my spirit in an unfair river?" I nagged again expecting to get some reply, any reply from the evil person in the opposite cell.

Provoking him right now seems to be very satisfying.

"That's quite enough. You need to think about get out from here right now than showing your displeasure towards Majesty Elias." Ah, how did I forget the mate of the century sharing the same cell as me?

Senan has some nerve to put this one in my cell. We had an agreement about not sharing the same cell as Elder Cazacu but that butt-head of a future-Alpha-King just knew what can annoy me out of skin.

"Then what do you want me to do? Wait to get executed? I don't understand how they even got our base camp location. They did plan everything well, from attacking in the night to not killing but imprisoning everyone in different dungeons; it seems to me like they have been planning this from quite some time. This isn't a work of a day or night surely."

I continued rebuking, nagging and talk just anything that can annoy the hell out of Elias. Putting him behind silver bars is not the end of the story. He is still an Alpha King who has greatest of the powers so unless he is provoked to the extent of unleashing his devil in front of everyone, he still have fair chances of escaping.

"Lady Lupus," I heard the rogue beta of Elias's rogue army call out my name from the cell beside mine.

"What lady I am now? Don't call me Lady. If we were still back at the base camp, I would've still taken the title out of courtesy for your leader's loyal obsession with me." I chided him expressing fully well how angered I am.

'Don't you think you are taking this a little too far?'

'Not really! There shouldn't be any suspicion on us until Elias is killed and his whole army is incriminated. We are not safe until every single of them is dead.'

"We apologize we couldn't protect you. But don't worry, Lady Lupus, our people from the other batch have already been informed. If everything goes right, then we will get out of here very soon." The rogue beta assured me.

Spies from Senan hiding somewhere here, did you hear that? Go do your work now!

"He is right Veira. Elias has promised me that he would keep me safe. He is my friend and one thing I know about him is he never goes back on his word." I have to give it to him. He knows the right thing to say in the right time.

Glad he got the hint! Otherwise, sometimes I was almost sure that he follows Elias genuinely.

"I will get you out of here and make you my queen, Fire. I will kill everyone who is involved in this plot. There is no mercy anymore." Elias growled out as he caught hold of the silver prison bars.

The silver showed no respect to his royal Alpha's ass as it burned down his hands mercilessly. What terrified me was how he did not even flinch back and continued to hold the bars in nasty determination.

Turning back to the mate of mine who is leaning against the prison wall with one leg bend against it, stylishly like some war hero, I narrowed my eyes at his cool posture for a hot situation.

"Are you just going to stand there like that? Aren't you a human who can touch silver? Why don't you come up with an idea to get me out of here?"

"I already did."

"Did what?"

"To get out of here."

"Alone?"

"No, with Elias."

"Then what about me?"

"Tell me, why are you silent? What about me?"

"Are you going to continue being a bruised ass?" I huffed at him and sat down, feeling a little pain in my legs.

Few moments of silence passed; not even their breathing can be heard. The surroundings got deafeningly quite.

"So, what did you do that can get us out?" I asked as Dea poked in my head to inquire. Elder Cazacu continued to act his usual cold self in Elias's company, giving me no measure of heed.

After getting a confirmation that he will not say anything, I leaned back against the wall to take a small nap.

On Dea's compulsion, that is!

'I need my beauty sleep. We cannot get out of here with bags under the eyes. Not yours then at least think about my reputation as the most beautiful wolf in the universe.'

'Hey Dea, I have a serious question to ask.'

'Is it about new batch of palette of skin tone products that are launched into the market recently?'

'No.'

'Is it about new acne-free, wrinkles-free night solutions that are taking the crowd by wave?'

'Not that.'

'Then is it about new limbs massage that can soften you skin like a touch of milk?'

'Oh shut up. Not that.'

'Then I don't think there is anything more serious we can talk about.'

'It's about him. Valeriu Ion Cazacu.'

I heard shuffling beside me as Elder Cazacu sat down and leaned against the wall as he closed his eyes to take a good nap.

By the looks of him, there is a small hardly noticeable frown on his face which is slowly getting noticeable with passing time.

Goddess knows what thoughts are running inside that gutter!

'What about him?'

'What will we do about him?'

'Nothing.'

'Nothing?'

'Nothing.'

'Really? Why? I thought you will want to live close to him?'

'I don't know. Maybe I started to understand your opinion on trust clearly now. I would rather use an underrated cream with good results than a popular one with bad outcome.'

'You mean to say, you would rather choose a straight evil than a twisted good?'

'If you put it like that; yes. I had so many expectations on him. Not for me but for you. I'm your wolf who is awakened years after you spent life alone but I'm also the only one who shared your pain in one body, mind, heart and soul. After knowing that all the while he was trying to take down Elias, I am no more angry at him but that doesn't change the fact that he did effect our emotions greatly.'

Hearing Dea's words, I realized she must've have done a lot of thinking for me. A small drop tear fell from my eyes when the deeper affection behind her words hit me. My dear wolf hardly spouts out something this emotional.

She is my own comedienne. She is like that sister of mine who is goofy just to make me feel good.

She is the only wolf in the world that is obsessed with beauty and turned out to be that way to complete me with those small things of joy I missed out.

A wolf's life is tied to its mate. For a wolf, there cannot and will not be anything more precious than its mate; but mine, gives me her preference than to the one who is tied to us for life and death.

If that doesn't make me love her, then I don't deserve her weird butt inside me.

After an hour of good sleep, loud footsteps coming down towards us woke me up. Rubbing my eyes, I looked around to find Elias awake and raging just like how he was an hour ago. Beside me, Cazacu is taking a nap as well.

Nudging him with my elbow several times, I woke him up just when a couple of royal pack elders with Senan stood before the prison where Elias is kept.

"Tsk Tsk, whatever happened to your lovely hands Alpha?" Asked the buffed looking elder with a smirk.

"You do know that putting an Alpha King in a prison is a serious crime, huh?"

"Oh we do, that is why we are here to let you go." Let him go?

Well, that wasn't a part of the plan?

But then again, Senan did inform me that he would be dealing with Elias lawfully because killing an Alpha king in a prison is indeed a heinous crime according to our laws.

Elias scoffed but the frown on his face clearly says that he did not understand what Senan is planning for him.

A guard ran down to the dungeons just then and growled loudly at Elias before turning to Senan, "Your highness, eight of our strong pack warriors is injected with a drug turning them against us. We don't know where this lot of rogues came from but they demand Alpha King to be released safely before they turn the whole royal pack against us."

Listening to what the guard has said, Elias laughed out evilly saying they cannot do anything to him as long as his people are still out there.

Raising an eyebrow at Elder Cazacu, when I looked at him, he gave a small nod confirming me that it is his doing.

The Elders and Senan looked not at all pleased with the piece of information they got. The three growled out before they opened the cell door to let Elias out.

With a proud smirk on his lips and evil dancing in his eyes, he walked a few steps ahead but stopped in his tracks and turned slightly towards my direction.

"You will out of here in no time, Fire. Wait for me to make you my queen." I heard his final words before he went off.

Oh, I will; only, you will not be the one to save me.

"Wrong, if we cannot have you under our custody, then we will definitely have another way to drive you into the corner." Senan said begrudgingly before he called the cell guards.

"I want her executed before Alpha King get out of this building." One order from Senan, I was dragged somewhere in front of Elias's wide enraged eyes.

Cazacu tried to fight and stop them but his puny human strength cannot be compared to their inhumane ones.
