Chapter 30
Valeriu Point of View
"Great job, Doctor." Majesty Elias grinned, giving me his wolfish gaze.
Although the gaze is a little uncomfortable considering our similar genders, I still accepted his smile with open arms.
"Don't mention it. You gave me better offer for my future." Shrugging at him, I settled myself in the comfortable chair in his study.
Elias grin widened as he patted my back with pride. "Tell me, Valeriu, we have been friends for over an year now; I thought you would ask me at least once about her."
"Her?"
"Veira." He breathed out with a mixture of desire and limitless madness floating in eyes and voice. Clearly, he is too obsessed with that little girl.
"When I asked you to house her and keep an eye on her for me, why didn't you ask anything? When I asked you to lure her here so I can have her with me again, you still did not ask me about my motives and just did what you were asked. Why?"
"We are friends and that's what friends do for each other. I don't need to know the motive." I replied back eyeing the glass of whiskey he offered me.
Ah, alcohol is the best when you want to relax your mind.
I took the glass gratefully and sipped it slowly, letting the liquid burn through my throat. The feeling was so satisfying.
"So, tell me, what happened when she was with you in your villa? I couldn't ask you any details before but now I want to know about her more and more."
I stopped drinking for a minute and mulled about it. What should I tell him? He already know her better than anyone.
After all she was his blind obsession.
She is his madness; a brilliant part of his madness to be honest. He is still mad without her in his life.
What a friend I got! Still, I really like him.
"Hmm, she acted just like a normal human being. I don't know if there is anything you don't know about her."
"How about I tell you my story with her and then you tell me if there is anything new I don't know about her." Fair enough! I nodded noticing his excitement whenever he talked about her.
"You don't mind telling me?"
"Of course not. You are my best friend and my partner in crime." I chuckled at what he said and nodded in encouragement.
Alright, let's hear what that little girl did to make the King of werewolves so blindly obsessed with her.
"The first time I saw her was when she just turned eighteen. You know, we werewolves have a special meaning of turning eighteen. It is the time when we will start looking for our mate."
"Mate as in, soul mate?"
"Yes. That one person whom we are destined to! I was already searching for my mate at that time. I went on a mate searching hunt as I was inherited to take the throne and I need to have my other half with me sharing it. When I was going from pack to pack in search of my mate, I had to stop and take shelter in a hotel in a town due to a thunderstorm."
"That's filmy; romantic!" I passed my comment on how the story is going on.
"It wasn't because that was when I found my mate." His facial features suddenly broke like dried face pack – in Dea's words.
Ah, that wolf was pretty interesting and fun to live with. Pity she –
"Veira?" I asked following his words keenly.
"No. Rowan, Beta's daughter from Moon Hill pack. She was living in the town attending a university for her further studies. And guess who her friend was?"
"The girl from the cell down the hall?"
"Point on. One was a Beta's daughter and one's a rogue wolf. The moment I saw Rowan, I did feel the bond that was created by the Goddess. We both clicked immediately and soon she took me to introduce someone important to me. And when she introduced her rogue friend to me, the feeling I felt for her was much more than any nature could create. It was simply magical. Veira is a magic, Valeriu, pure magic."
"Wait, I thought Veira graduated without attending the classes?" Elias is good with planning but when it comes to storytelling, he has no future.
Is this any way you tell you tell your love story? No head, no tail!
He should've at least said how he met his mate and what happened between them at that time. He sounds as if he didn't care about her at all.
"You are right. She was busy working part time jobs of tricking people to earn money. She was Rowan's annual academic project partner and that was how they got to know each other. Over years of studying same course, they became friends. Back to Veira, like I was telling you, what I felt for Rowan was something was something created by nature and I was alright with it until I met Veira. She was the smartest and most beautiful girl I ever came upon in my life." He took a moment and breathed in as if he is inhaling her scent from the atmosphere.
Beautiful, she is!
Smart, indeed!
"She didn't like me from the very first time her eyes laid on me. You know what, being a rogue, a little girl she was, she spoke rudely to a crown prince. It must be because she noticed how I was enthralled by her in front of my mate, she warned me to put my interest in the right place. She dared to warn me, a King."
"Never knew she had it in her." Well, I know exactly what she is capable of.
"Not just she was beautiful, I found her interesting, challenging and courageous which my mate isn't. I saw firsthand how she tackled an army of nearly fifty wolves' single-handedly without breaking out in sweat. She is everything the Rowan wasn't and I loved that about her. I loved her but she hated me. She even asked Rowan to stay aware of my ill intentions towards her. But the only intentions I ever have were for Veira. Rowan felt like an obstacle in my path towards Veira."
"So you broke up with her?" He laughed out loudly hearing my words.
"Broke up? Breaking up is for your human, not for werewolves. Mates cannot break up; they are bond for eternity. So I had no choice but to kill her." I choked when he talked about killing his own mate like he killed a mosquito.
"Rowan trusted Veira a lot. Even when she knew I had my eyes on her friend, she chose to trust Veira and advised her to leave the town and go somewhere I cannot get my hands on. She was giving a wrong advice; she tried to separate me from Veira. So I killed her and created the whole scene as rogue attack. This made Veira hate me even more. The more she hated me, the more I was hungry for her. He hate was what I loved the most."
""AfterRowan was killed, I killed many so she wasn't any different. Only, Veira vowed thatone day she would make my life a living hell and moved out of town. Rowan was her only friend ever; the only person who did not treat her like a rogue and befriended her. I did feel bad to take away her friend from Veira but it was necessary. It was after an year I found her in another city working her way out with humans. Overwhelmed by my feelings, I finally confronted her and proposed to make her my queen."
I see! So that's what happened. No wonder why Veira was so jumpy around her mate. She has trust issues with even Goddess' decisions, thanks to my dear friend.
But that doesn't matter now.
"She must've slapped you."
"Close enough. She hit me on my manhood so strong that I had to take medications for four months." As expected of her.
If he wasn't a King, she would've as well killed him, knowing how her anger can erupt suddenly.
"Ah, so you want to take revenge on her now because of that." I speculated which even I know is wrong.
Elias, for one, is a devil whose only weakness is Veira. His obsession for her has no limits. No matter what happens, he cannot get angry on her or hurt her.
"Wrong, that boosted me to make her mine even more. When I complete my mission, when I make everyone on this planet bow down to me, she will have no other option than to come back to me."
"You will, my friend. You definitely will. The world and the girl will be yours. I'm developing the thing you wanted me to. Hopefully in the next few days, you may start taking actions."
I gave him my assurance after hearing his love story which no love in it whatsoever. But that shouldn't be any of my business. I have better things to do.
"What the hell are you both planning? What is it that you are developing, Dr. Cazacu?" An angry bird gritted standing by the door.
Elias looked extremely shocked when he saw her by the doorstep of the study room.
"How did you come out of silver infused cell?" He was answered with a smirk, a proud smirk.
He is shocked but I am not. Spending months with her, I know not to expect impossible from her.
"Let's just say, I have a guardian angel with devil horns here."

Hello Sweeties,
Next chapter is here. Enjoy!
What do you think about the chapter? Boring?
How the hell did a werewolf king and a human doctor become friends?
Wait, so Valeriu knows about werewolves even before he met Veira?
Being her mate, how can Valeriu give her to someone else? How can he be so cruel?
Elias is a definition of jerk. Who agree?
Elias killed his own mate for Veira and she was Veira's only friend. No wonder Veira hates him a lot.
Do you find his obsession silly? Then you will have to wait to see his end.
How come Valeriu and Veira's story take such a turn. Will Veira be able to trust someone after being betrayed by her own mate?
What exactly is this Elias planning to do that he has Valeriu develop something.
