"You seem unwell, Miss Lupus." Yes she absolutely is. If I have to put her condition in one word, then she is like the coldest icicle in the Arctic.

But Dan, you seem to do not get how to handle her with her mood swings even after working for her for nearly three months.

She is currently frozen with jealousy!

I watched her scan through the documents Fragrance provided her regarding her appointment as a new manager of public relations department.

Beside her stood Dan who is having mix of fear and amusement in his features. I and Fragrance took each of the chairs opposite to her.

Oh the body of absolute despise taking a leisure bath inside her. Her outward appearance is as pleasant as a spring noon but inside she and Dea are competing to win the best Elsa award of the century.

"You are reading too much, Dan. Rest assured, I will not be the one to be sick at the end of the day." That was a promise.

I can clearly hear the bells going off and a promise of something dark and painful is read by the Satan himself.

I didn't expect her to show such huge difference in her behavior when she gets jealous. I thought she didn't care much.

"You got my admiration, Miss Lupus." Fragrance, lovingly known as stench by someone who shouldn't be mentioned now, gazed like a proud adult at Veira.

I can see the night stars in her eyes for Veira.

"And you got my man." That was definitely a whisper which isn't heard by Dan or Fragrance. I heard it because she and Dea said the same thing in their mind too.

"Huh? You said something?"

"Ah yes, I said you got the appointment sorted. I signed and duly stamped it. You are now a part of VIBE, congratulations Ms. Miller." She smiled pretty normally and said in a soft authoritative tone.

But in reality, I don't have to say it.

What's funnier was from the moment Fragrance called her my niece, she didn't even spare a glance at me. If it wasn't for her werewolf DNA, then her teeth would've ground to powder in the span of past half an hour.

"Thanks Veira. Fragrance will only bring the best of VIBE in future. I promise." I managed to sound sincere and grateful.

But that one gaze she finally gave me shot darts of terror in to my heart.

Ouch! That was scary. But can she do anything to me? Nay!

She growled and she did not even conceal it well. I can hear Dea stomping like an elephant on a cockroach in her mind.

Veira kid, I was planning to explain the rumors before they go out of hands but now I will leave it to you to address them in whichever way you see fit.

I guess another girl in picture is just the right way to ignite some romance in Veira's heart. So be it!

Let Fragrance spread the smell of romance between us.

"I should've joined in the company by the start of this year itself but due to sudden trip to France it got delayed. You see, I went there on a personal errand from your uncle here. I am his only trusted confidant." You are going just right Fragrance. Keep doing the same.

"I can see it. I expect the same trust towards you in the future, Ms. Miller. You should be as good as your uncle. I have great respect for him."

According to the resent thesis I read on werewolves, I found out that they are uncontrollable when they are angered, more so when their mates are involved in certain situations.

Veira has my love all over again!

She surely knows how to put Dea under control and maintain such fine composure.

Fragrance brimmed at Veira like a lantern on festivals when she hugged the kid tightly before dashed out of the office room.

I nodded at Veira with a smile and reached the door when Dan beat me off as he pushed me inside the room and walked out before me.

Why that little -!

"You have beautiful confidants, Elder Cazacu." She sang as she took slow steps towards me.

'Why did you call that stench beautiful? Goddess blessed you with such sharp eyes, are you planning to give them a funeral?'

No, Valeriu you should stay calm and casual.

You shouldn't give her hints of what's going on in your mind!

"She is, isn't she? She is smart, beautiful and a girl with kind heart. We have been friends from a very long time but it still surprises me how capable she can be." Folding my hands over my chest, I spoke in a dreamy manner.

'She is a girl and you are either a boy or a kid in his eyes. I hate to tell this about our mate but he is not right in his mind, Veira.'

'You don't say. Hold it in well, Dea. Don't forget we will get riled up easily on a full moon day.'

Veira suddenly smiled and by God she smiled genuinely. That was heck scary! "I see, I have an aunt in order coming soon. Congratulation, Elder Cazacu."

'For going blind at such a young age.' That was Dea and Veira speaking in one mind.

"Oh thank you but it's too soon to congratulate me. Your aunt can be a mutt head sometimes. I give many hints but she is too blind to see them but that's okay. I'll wait. She is still too young to understand the depth of my feelings for her." I bit back a smirk, making sure I keep my cool composure.

'I will kill this aunt if she gets into his pant.'

'Stop you rant. I find everything a little strange. I suddenly, for a fraction of second, felt that the aunt he was talking about was us.'

As expected from Veira! She has her senses opened.

'Hey, you be the aunt! I'm still a young blooming wolf to be called an aunt. I didn't even shed my birth wrinkles yet.'

Yes, yes Dea. You are a sweet blooming wolf!

"Are you alright there, Veira. You look hot." Very hot when anger and jealousy is your ornaments.

"What can happen to me?" She bit out and clenched her fists so loudly that I could hear the cracks of it clearly.

'Let's postpone the event of revealing our secret to him for later days Dea. We should handle this stench first.'

'Yes, we should. With her bad odor in between us and our mate, we will never be successful.'

Good! Fragrance came just in time.

I want to deal with a few things too before I hear her out. When she reveals her secrets and I reveal mine, I don't want a saber of danger handing over our necks.

"Yeah, what can happen to you?" I mumbled as I inched close to her; close enough to feel our breaths mingling well.

Raising my hand to her head, I patted her gently while I spoke my next words. "Veira, Oh Veira, just look at you. Don't make it too obvious for others to find out. Hold it well or else –" I trailed off laughing away for her to understand the rest as she wish.

With a short hug, I left her with her mouth hanging low enough that it could reach the first base of hell.

"What do you mean? Hey clarify before walking away." I heard her shouting until her words cannot be heard anymore.

Now I can feel sparks of real feelings from Veira. Not because I'm her mate or not because Dea said so but sentiments of her own that are generated by her own will.

If I knew that I could get her attention with another girl beside me, then we would've already been duly mated.

On my way down to the labs Dan stopped me giving me a nod of confirmation.

"You are arranged to meet on the coming Saturday, Boss." I turned stoic hearing him. "Are you sure you will go there alone? It's dangerous, sir."

"No, I'll be fine. This is something I have to do it myself. Don't let her find out about it. Keep her occupied with work the whole Saturday."

"Noted. Boss. But they are not normal. They are mythical creatures, werewolves that I only read about in books until few days ago. You have to take something for your own safety." I nodded assuring him about my safety.

"I know what I'm doing. Rest assured they cannot do anything to me." I mumbled, making certain the wolf with super hearing sitting inside my office cannot get the wind of it.

"Christopher Fuller can be a danger to Veira but he isn't to me. Being a human is my shield so, he will not do anything that might get him to break their rules." Saying, I walked away giving Dan a nod of strong affirmation.

Let's see what I can get from Christopher Fuller!
