CHAPTER 18

The moon shone brightly as Tae sat at his balcony, grazing at the half moon. It was almost 11pm, he couldn’t sleep so he decided to just star grazing. Tae felt calm even though all the night gave was dogs barking at a distance and from time to time winds flowing hard enough to make their presence known. 

Tae smiled resting his head against the railing, yeontan sitting on his criss crossed legs, staring up at him with curious eyes, his tongue lolling out making tae smile and pet his head out of habit. 

Taehyung half contempted calling Jungkook in a way to find sleep, he could talk to him till he fell asleep but decided against it. It’s been about 3 days since their last little date and he has barely seen Jungkook, except well, maybe when he went for therapy once. Jungkook is pretty packed with his clients, apparently he has gotten two or three more patients taking up the little time he got from his busy schedule. 

Taehyung didn’t mind, not when Jungkook still manages to text him in the middle of work, asking if he ate or not filling him up of his own well being as well. So he really doesn’t think it’s appropriate to text in the middle of the night when he is aware of how much the elder needs his sleep. 

He smiles “Aren't you sleepy Tan-ah?” He immediately got a bark in response, making Tae chuckle. 

“Well, I miss your other dad so sleep isn't coming to me any sooner” He got a lick on the same palm he used to pet the little Pomeranian. 

“Yeah? You miss him too, right? Or do you miss biting him huh?” Taehyung narrowed his eyes accusingly before cracking up at the memory of Jungkook jumping up and down while screaming like some girl from a C grade horror movie. 

He entertained himself by talking to Tannie that is before his phone rings. Taehyung frowned, mentally questioning who might be texting him so late at night. 

He stretched himself in order to reach his phone. Face lightening up at the name on the screen. 

My love💜 🐰: Hey, Are you sleeping?? 

Taehyung chuckled, before typing out a reply.

Tae : Not yet, Why are YOU not sleeping hm? 

Immediately 3 dots appeared, Taehyung bit his lower lips, feeling excited like a teenager. 5

My Love 💜🐰 : Idk certain someone's thoughts were keeping awake 

And then there were three dreamy emoji, Taehyung giggles. 

Tae : Should I believe That certain someone is me 👀 

My Love 💜🐰 : BINGO! You are absolutely right Love, I miss you so much 🥺🥺🥺🥺

Tae : Awww My baby, I miss you too :((( I really wanna see you right now… 

My Love 💜🐰 : Then why don't you? 

Tae : Huh?? 

My love 🐰💜 : Can you meet me at 10 below your house? I was actually going to come see you skks 

Tae : ARE YOU SERIOUS?!!! 

My love 🐰💜 : No I'm Jungkook 

Tae : Haha very funny 😑😑 But really were you?? 

My love : Yeah angel, I am. Will you meet me?? 

Tae : You bet I will! I'll bring Tannie along with me

My Love 🐰💜 : sounds perfect to me, angel. I'll see you <3 

Tae : See you❤ 

Taehyung quickly dressed up appropriately, sneaking out with tan-ah in his arms, putting the leash around his neck as he made his way outside of the house. 

“Hey” Tae smiles as he watches Jungkook coming out of his car in a night wear. 

“Hii Love” Jungkook grins immediately, kissing his forehead, jumping back when yeontan barked at him. 

Jungkook narrowed his eyes at him “Is this how you greet your appa huh? Tan-ahh?”  Tae laughs, shaking his head. 

“He’s greeting you kook” Jungkook rolls his eyes. 

“He could do that after I’m done kissing you” Tae let tannie down, holding on his leash so jungkook could properly kiss the elder. 

“So what do you want to do?” Jungkook questions hands wrapping his arms around his waist, booping their noses together.

“So you came all the way here and you don't even know what you want to do?” 

“Well, My initial plan was to climb through your window, get in your bed and demand tons of kisses and cuddles” Jungkook grins proudly, Tae hits his chest. 

“Stalker” Tae mumbled though there was no malice beneath his voice. 

“Only for you, Promise” Jungkook smacked a kiss on his forehead. “So what do you want to do?” 

“Maybe we could take Tan-ah on a walk? I'm sure he'll like extra time to roam around?” Jungkook nods, pulling away to intertwine their fingers together. 

They start to walk, Yeontan excitedly walking in front of them. Jungkook swung their hands together making Tae giggle at first before kissing Jungkook again. 

“Taehyung?” Jungkook says after a good amount of time, hands around his shoulder. 

“Hmm?” 

“I think you are My forever” Jungkook smiled looking at Taehyung, he frowned when he felt Taehyung stiffen under his touch.

“Hey, Love what happened??” He asked, concerned.

“N-nothing”

“Hey.... I don't want to pressure you into saying things you don't wanna but if it's something about us don't hide it so I don't feel bad ok? Just let me know what you feel, baby??” Jungkook cupped his face making Tae face him. 

“It's just.... I'm kinda — I'm scared of forever kook. Everyone who says they'll stay with me forever always ends up leaving me. I think I'm cursed from forever, I'm not meant for it” Tae said in a whisper. 

Jungkook sighed sadly looking down. He knows Tae still has lots of insecurities. He isn't mad or something just sad 'Cause it feels hard. He doesn't know how to deal with it. Tae felt like crying looking at Jungkook's sad face. Jungkook loves him so much but all he does is end up messing everything up.. 

“I'm sorry... I know you really really love me and I just — I just had to ruin the moment. I'm so sorry Koo” Tae cried out.

Jungkook pulled him against his chest as he rubbed his back soothingly. 

“Shhush... Love Don't apologise please... I'm just — I'm just happy that you didn't hide what's in your mind from me that's all that matters to me, Love. Just be honest with me don't hide your insecurities from me, For Me you are always perfect...  don't be sad please love, for me yeah??” Tae nodded against his chest as Jungkook smiled and kissed the top of his head.

They stayed like that. Jungkook kept thinking of something to make his love feel better, make him feel less bad about whatever happened right now as an Idea popped in his mind.

He pulled away and looked at Taehyung's teary eyes and red nose even while crying. His boyfriend looks so freaking eternal. Jungkook softly wiped those tears kissing his nose making Tae look up at him.

He smiled and put his one hand up for Taehyung to take while the other hand was caressing his cheeks.

Tae looked at the palm then back at Jungkook confusingly. "Let's make a promise!" He smiled, moving his hand a bit up for Taehyung.

"What promise?" He asked innocently.

"We promise that we'll stay together and love each other for next one year!" He said proudly and Tae bit his lips.

"What about after that??" He asked, feeling a bit sad that Jungkook doesn't want to be with him — thanks to his insecure ass.

"When we'll complete our one year we'll extend our promise for another one year and we'll keep doing that until you believe that we are a Forever what do you say??" Tae chuckled but nodded.

"And what if something happened in between??" Jungkook put his hand under his chin as he thought about it then looked back at Taehyung, his smile wider than last time.

"And if something between us did happened and if we unfortunately Broke up — not happening though — but still if it did happen then you can say that to yourself that we already extended our promise for soooo long C'mon at least have some faith in me I'm not breaking up with you within a year we'll obviously extend our promise so after our break up we both can tell ourselves that maybe we were meant to be for so and so years"

"We never promised each other for a forever but we did for a year yet we already stayed together more than that; it will make us feel better. You won't think that you are cursed from a forever cause we never said we are forever." Before Tae could say anything  jungkook dramatically sat on his one knee as he forwarded his hand for Taehyung.

"Say Mr. Kim Taehyung Do You Promise to give me the honour of being your boyfriend and love you for next one year and many more years in future"  he wiggled his eyebrows playfully.

"You are crazy!!" Tae laughed, shaking his head in disbelief.

No one ever told him something like that.

"Just for you" he winked as he moved his hand which Tae had still not taken.

"C'mon promise me you would love me and be my lovely beloved beautiful awesome precious strong baby for a year and many more. C'mon C'mon" he said as Tae smiled through teary eyes and finally took the hand in his own. 

"I promise to be your Boyfriend and love you for next one year and many more" Tae smiled through teary eyes which rather shined under the light giving a beautiful angelic look.

Jungkook smiled brightly as he intertwined their hands together (🤝) standing up. 

"Be ready Mr. Kim Taehyung, You are stuck with me for next one year and in no way I'm planning to let you go even after that" He said teasingly as Tae shakes his head giggling. 

He quickly moved forward hugging Jungkook. Jungkook was a bit startled but he sooned smiled, letting go of the hand to hug Tae's waist pulling him even close to himself. The warmth of their chest pressed against each other. 

"I don't know what the fuck I will do if you ever leave me" He said emotionally snugging more into Jungkook's neck.

"Uhh... Probably curse me for not extending our promise??" He said, chuckling nervously.

"Idiot" Taehyung hit him on the chest. "My Idiot" he smiled, kissing Jungkook's cheek. 

"Your idiot, Lovely" 

"I love you so much jungkook." Tae mumbled against his neck and Jungkook smiled.

"I love you more, Angel" Jungkook kissed the top of Taehyung's head.
