"I can't believe someone would do blackmailing as a job," Avni says to me as I drive us to Rayan's condo.

"She has never done it before I am sure it's her first time," Vidhyut says from the backseat.

"You didn't even know your sister is sleeping around even though she is married." Avni turns to look at him.

"Things are not how they appear." He says. "I told you before Maya is crazy."

"I just can't understand," Avni says in disbelief. "And why did her parents attempt suicide?"

"Because they had a lot of debt to pay." He answers. "Maya tried to do the job in every company but she got rejected and they lost hopes and died. I am sure she has come to both of your companies as well."

"Seriously?" Avni asks. "You could have paid the debt for them or you could have offered her the job in your company."

"I didn't know they had debt until they died because my uncle and aunt were too respectful to ask me for it. And yes I gave her a job in my company but she couldn't stay there for longer. A lot of employees complained against her." He says slowly. "That's why I send her money whenever she asks because she takes care of her sister."

"What does she do exactly?"

"You will know soon." He sighs.

I roll my eyes clearly not liking them talking but I know I need to suck it up and be thankful to Vidhyut.

I park the car and we get into the elevator. I glare at Vidhyut as I stand between him and Avni. He rolls his eyes and looks away from me.

I ring the doorbell and we wait for the door to open. I ring the doorbell again when it doesn't open.

"Is he even home?" Avni asks slowly.

"I swear if he has done anything I am going to complain in the police station," Vidhyut says angrily as he rings the doorbell furiously.

"You need to relax." I narrow my eyes at him. "Rayan said he has her and I am sure he wouldn't harm her."

I was really surprised to know he handled it so easily and even though I know I shouldn't trust him but I do. He wouldn't hear my tempers if he had bad intentions.

"You don't know that," Avni tells me slowly. "I don't trust him."

"I do," I say surprising myself. "At least this time, I do. He wouldn't fuck this up."

Avni looks at me for a moment and then she nods slowly. "I hope you are right. I am sure you thought before involving him in this mess. I am trusting you here that you are right."

I look at her and I feel like an idiot for arguing with her to not working with Vidhyut. All I had to do was trust her decision even if I didn't trust Vidhyut because she is smart and she knows what she is doing.

"Thank you," I say slowly. "For trusting me."

"Can you please stop this here?" Vidhyut looks at us irritated. "There's a third person here if you notice and we are in the middle of something."

I nod as I ring the doorbell again and after two minutes the door finally opens. I let out a breath as soon as it opens and I frown looking at Rayan.

Avni actually chuckles and she quickly straightens up when she sees the serious look Rayan has on his face.

Rayan looks wasted.

His shirt is pulled open and there is some sauce on his chest. His hair is wet, the white drops falling from his curls prove that milk was poured on him. His face doesn't have the hard look it always has and he looks like he is about to cry.

I look down at him and he doesn't have his pants on and I am suddenly thankful he has his shirt on.

"Come back in." Someone shouts behind him and I know it's Maya.

"I told you I don't want to keep her." He shakes his head at me. "Please just take her away."

"What the fuck is happening?" Vidhyut asks as he pushes his way inside and Rayan follows him.

"You want to come in?" I ask Avni.

"I don't want to see her undressing him entirely." She laughs.

"That won't happen." I shake my head. "Her brother is here now."

When we walk inside we see the entire living room messed up and Vidhyut is glaring at Maya.

"What is all of this?" He finally asks.

"I am just angry at him for betraying me." She shouts. "I thought all of that flirting was real. I can't believe he had all of these planned so he deserves this." She says as she throws the water she is holding.

"You need to stop." Rayan glares at her. "I didn't want to touch you so I have been controlling."

"She is really crazy," Avni says as she glances at Maya.

She gasps. "Hey, what happened to your hair?"

Maya looks from Rayan to Avni and she seems a little nervous at first probably afraid we know she is the hoodie lady.

"I can't imagine living without my hair," Avni says slowly as she touches her long silky hair.

"I actually got angry once." Maya sighs as she sits on a chair. "Then I cut my hair in a bad shape."

Avni gasps. "Why would you do that to yourself?"

"I said to you I was angry." Maya shrugs. "It looked really horrible."

"I cut here." She says as she touches the middle of her head. "And it looked weird to not have hair in the middle so I became bald."

"Oh my god." Avni looks at her in disbelief.

"It's fun being bald." Maya shrugs. "I don't have to think about which hairstyle to do and all."

"I would never let any harm come to my hair." Avni shakes her head. "They are so precious to me."

Vidhyut, Rayan, and I share a glance wondering what is happening. I think we came to talk about something very serious how did everything just flip away and the focus turned to hair?

Rayan pulls his pants up and he turns to look at me. "I need a quick shower. You guys may feel free to take her away as soon as possible."

"Thank you." I nod.

"I hope I was able to help you and see I didn't betray." He looks into my eyes.

"Thanks for that as well." I look at him, I know he had to do what he did because he was guilty but I am not heartless so I can at least thank him for it.

He actually smiles at me before he disappears up the stairs.

"Have you not thought about letting her see a qualified mental health professional?" Avni turns to look at Vidhyut. "I mean, she could harm herself one day you never know."

"I tired," Vidhyut says. "It didn't work out. She just needs money that's all. She will never harm herself."

"Yes. I love myself too much to do that." Maya rolls her eyes.

"Now, let's talk about what you have been doing." I interrupt.

"I need to go." Maya stands up as she walks past Avni.

"Hold on." Avni holds her hand. "We are being polite even after knowing what you did. Trust me you don't want to get on my bad side."

Maya pulls her hand away. "I said whatever I knew. Let me go now."

"You have been doing something wrong," Avni tells her. "You were even cheating on your husband. I have more than enough reasons to put you behind the bars."

Maya turns to look at Vidhyut who glares at her. "I can't believe you did that to your husband. You'll be getting divorced any time soon, I'll make sure of it. You crossed limits."

"Don't interfere-"

"Please spare us the fight." Avni interrupts. "We are definitely not here to see you fighting with your brother."

"What do you want me to do?" Maya looks at her.

"That's a good question." Avni smiles. "So, Mr. Arora and Ira are my cousins?"

"They are."

"They are behind me because they think my parents killed theirs?" Avni looks at her.

"I don't know any of that." Maya shrugs.

"Alright." Avni nods. "So any time soon Ira is going to ask you to kidnap my children."

"I won't-"

"Don't interrupt." Avni shakes her head. "Listen to me."

"She is going to ask you to kidnap them and you will tell her you'll do that on Saturday. You won't kidnap them in real but I will keep them hidden and safe so you can tell Ira you kidnapped."

"Later, she is going to ask you to call me or Neil to blackmail. You will say that your brother is our business partner and you have met us in person so you can't continue with it anymore."

"You will also make sure Ira calls me and convince Mr. Arora to call Neil. I'll tell you which address to give them and then they will ask me and Neil to come there."

"But the actual fun will be when we will already keep the cops there. I will make sure they spill the beans and get arrested right away."

"I won't let you fool me around this time and if you do-" I watch as she takes a step forward and glares at her. "-you will know that it was one of your biggest mistakes."

"How much am I getting paid for it?" Maya asks rolling her eyes.

"Maya," Vidhyut warns. "This is the least you can do after whatever you did."

"This isn't your job that you'll get paid." I look at her in disbelief.

"I think I will pay you," Avni says. "After this mess is over maybe I can offer you a job."

"I don't want to do a job." Maya looks angry. "You'll fire me any time soon."

"I won't." Avni shakes her head. "We'll speak about this later."

"Is my plan clear?" Avni looks around the room and I smile proudly. She is super fast. While I was wondering how to deal with Maya she even thought of a plan.

It would be the best trap. Mr. Arora and Ira won't just walk into us just like that and kidnapping them wouldn't be a good idea because then they will not tell truth.

Making them show that they are winning will make them fools because they will lose their guards then. We can pretend we got caught in their games and that's when we can get everything out from them.

"I hope no one says anything to anyone." Avni looks behind me and I turn around to see Rayan standing there. He looks away before he walks back to us.

"If everything is clear I want everyone out of my house." He sighs.

"You said you'll give me how much ever money I ask for." Maya glares at him.

"Do whatever Avni said and I'll give you." He glares back at her.

"Let's leave." Vidhyut reaches out and pulls Maya with her.

There is an awkward silence in the room as they leave. I look from Avni to Rayan wondering what is going on in their heads.

"I want to ask for a favor." Rayan looks at Avni.

I narrow my eyes not liking that he did what he did because he wanted a favor from her.

"Rayan-" I begin to say when Avni doesn't look at him.

"Please." He says desperately looking at Avni.

Avni looks up at him and she clenches her jaw as her eyes harden. "What?"

"Ask Zar to call me for once." He says slowly. "Please."

Avni frowns as she looks at him. "I am not sure she would do that but I will let her know."

She turns around and walks away. I sigh as I look at Rayan wondering why he would ask for such a favor. Zar won't be thrilled about it anyway.

But I get that he did everything because he was guilty and also because he needed a chance to talk with Zar. If he had to get in her good books he had to help us.

"I appreciate whatever you did," I say as I keep my hands in my pocket. "I would want you out of our lives, forever."

"Sure." He nods.

We look in the eye for a moment and I am not sure if I consider him my enemy or friend. Somehow he is both.

"Goodbye," I say as I turn around.
