Leaving Chicago was hard. I grew up there, I know everything about it. I am an awkward person, I say a lot of things without thinking first, and that makes it hard for me to get friends. I don't know how I'll cope in Australia, people will think i'm weird.

I have officially decided I don't like plains. I had never been on one until now, and let me tell you, so far, so horrible. I'm scared of heights. The fact that I got the window seat and I am sitting next to an oversized man doesn't help. I'm currently being squished against the window, breathing in a lovely aroma of something that smells like wet dog. Long story short, the man smells horrible. Needing some air I say, "Um, excuse me, I need to go to the bathroom, could you move please?".

"Why?" The man looks at me cluelessly.

Why? Really? A bathroom is used to take a dump, or in my case, breath. "Because I need to go..." I mumble.

"You can wait until we land. I don't feel like moving, kid."

"I really need to go."

"Hold it." He says.

"It's that time of month though." I lie casually.

"I'm sorry, I don't want to get up, so deal with it."

Rude. "Listen, I am tired, squished and no offense, but you smell bad. So move it. Please." Ok, I know, I might me going a little overboard right now, but I can't stand it anymore. With a sigh the man gets up to finally, let me pass. "Thank you.".

I walk down the passage way going towards the bathrooms. I knock a couple times on the bathroom titled "girls" and no one answers, so I walk in. The second I open the small door, I regret it. The view in front of me is nauseating. I have never in my life seen something so gross. Right in front of my eyes there is a lady in about her eighty's, bending over, wearing no pants, no underwear, showing me her whole object, front and back. We stare at each other speechless and shocked for about ten seconds in the same positions. Her bending over and me standing in the doorway. Finally, I snap out of the shocking state I was in just seconds ago. "Oh my gosh, I am so, so sorry!" I say, closing the door immediately. Flushed, I walk quickly back to my seat. I didn't have to ask Mr. Fatty to move so I could pass, he saw me and immediately got up while rolling his eyes. The rest of the flight I kept on replaying what I saw in the bathroom; I am still traumatized.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Sydney, Australia. On behalf of American Airlines and the entire crew, I'd like to thank you for joining us on this trip and we are looking forward to seeing you on board again in the near future. Have a nice day."

We're here. I jump up from my seat inpatient to get out of the plane. Mr. Fatty isn't getting up anytime soon, so I crawl over him. He mutters some incoherent curse words looking at me weirdly but doesn't do anything about the situation. When I finally wriggle myself off of him, I grab my bags and look for my mom, who was seated somewhere else, lucky. When i see her, I yell. "Mom! Over here." She looks over and smiles signaling me to walk towards her.

"Hey baby girl. How was your flight? Did you like it? I had the most lovely young lady siting next to me, she was so kind."

I think about my amazing time on the plane and just put on a fake smile, "It was.. Um, interesting." Mom knew something was odd, but just ignored it. We get off the airplane and walk to where our luggage is. When we finally get everything sorted out, we walk out of the airport and try to catch a taxi.

"Taxi!" Mom calls out.

Soon enough, a cab pulls up. The taxi driver gets out of the car grabbing our bags and putting them in the trunk.

"Where to?" He says boringly in an australian accent.

"Crystal Sunset road, number thirty seven, please."

Until now, I hand't wondered where we would be staying, nor living. I can't believe I forgot about that. We're sitting in the cab and I look over to my mom, "Mom? Where are we even going to live?"

"Oh! Right, well for now, we will be staying at my old friend Georgia's house... She has a couple of boys, I heard one of them is your age." She says giving me a wink , while smirking.

Great, we've been here for five minutes and she is already trying to set me up. "Yay" I mutter with a tint of sarcasm in my voice.

"Don't worry, it's just until I can find a nice home that's not that expensive."

I nod as I look out the window and notice that Sydney is actually really pretty. I roll down the window, smelling the nice ocean air, letting the wind blow softly on my face, until I feel the car slowly stop. The driver had pulled into a driveway.

"We're here. That will be $10."

My mom hands him the money, while thanking him for the ride. We get out of the cab, only to see a small family. I see a lady about moms age, which I assume is Georgia and three boys. Two of the boys look around ten or eleven, and they seem identical. Twins, huh. I notice the one boy that mom was talking about before and let me tell you, he is probably the most attractive human being I have ever laid eyes on.

From what I see he has sandy wavy blonde hair that shapes his perfectly defined jawline. His deep-set green eyes look at me curiously. The guy has nice full lips that surround his mouth with perfect pearl like teeth, with dimples pressed under his cheekbones. His body? Don't even get me started with his body. He is fit. Not crazy fit, with veins popping out of his neck, but with muscle in all the right places.

My mom starts walking towards her friend with a huge smile plastered across her face and embraces her in a big hug. I'm still standing awkwardly in the sidewalk, just staring.

"Sam! Honey, come here I want you to meet Georgia and her boys."

I walk slowly to where they are, when suddenly I hear a loud thud, and of course it's the amazing Sam Reed making a complete fool of herself.

Falling straight on my face is a great Welcome to Australia present! *note the sarcasm*.
