"Wh-what?" I blink.

"I said, do you need a ride, you've been sitting here for like an hour and I kinda feel bad to leave you here alone." He sighs as flips is head to the side, so his long blond hair doesn't fall in his eyes.

My heart is pounding so hard right now... How can a simple person make you feel like this? I finally open my mouth to say something, but then my stomach decides to speak for itself. Kyle looks at me and smirks. Gosh Sam, what did we say about playing it cool?

"You hungry? Oh and you still haven't answered my question."

"Oh, um. Yeah I haven't eaten all day and to answer your second question, it's totally fine, I can just wal-" Kyle grabs me by my wrist and starts pulling me somewhere, interrupting what I was saying. "wh-what are you doing?"

"I have and idea!!" He says, cheerfully sending me a huge smile.

Holy crap... That smile. As cliche as this is going to sound, it makes my heart melt. Well, not literally, but you get it.I suddenly find myself in the passenger seat of a car, huh, I guess I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't even realize I was in his car. I examine the inside of the car and it was actually pretty cool. Black leather seats, touch-screen GPS/radio and cool blue lights on the celling. "Nice," I mutter and he just nods in response. He's driving off somewhere. We've been driving for at least thirty minutes in total silence. It's not comfortable silence either, so I decide to break the ice, "Wait, you're not going to take me somewhere and kill me, are you?" I hear a low chuckle escape his mouth,

"oh-oh. You caught me!" He says jokingly which sends a little smile to my mouth.

"Well, you never know. you could be some kind of 75 year old creep with a disguise that picks his belly button and eats out of the garbage." I say. I slowly look to my left to see his expression and he seems amused out of what I just said. I still have no idea where were going and it's starting to worry me. I mean, we've already passed two towns from ours.Suddenly he pulls up at a parking lot in front of a small little restaurant called Bobs burgers, interesting name.

"We're here!!" He says a little too cheerful and loud.

"Yay.". As soon as we walk in we are greeted with a warm smile from an older woman around her 50's.

"Kyle! It's about time you showed up here, I was starting to worry. its been a while. Here take a seat in that booth over there while I go get your menus." Says the elderly woman.

Kyle rapidly thanks the waitress, Cindy he says that they've known each other for years. We sit down and it only takes a few seconds before Cindy comes with the menus and takes our orders.

15-20 minutes have passed and we are already eating. The silence was getting a little uncomfortable again. I ask him why he brought me to a restaurant two towns away from where we live and he claims that "Bobs Burgers, is the best place ever!". I do have to agree with him for now. The food tastes amazing.

"So, how are you? we haven't really talked after that small incident a while back" he says.

"Oh, I've been pretty good actually. How about you?"

"Pretty good too," Kyle says.

"Can I ask you something?" I say nervously.

"Sure, shoot,"

"Why are you talking to me all of the sudden? Not that I don't like our conversations, but it seems like you didn't want to even get near me yesterday." I manage to say.

"Oh, well we used to be best friends and I missed it and to answer the second thing that you said, that's not true. I did like you, as a fr-"

"Really? because I really like you too!! I'm really glad that i'm not the only one with these feelings..." I say. If I told you I wasn't nervous right now I'd be lying. What am I thinking just spitting it out like that?

"I mean as a friend, Sam." Kyle says.

Oh gosh, I'm an idiot. "Oh," I mange to say.

"Sam, I started avoiding you because when you told me, I totally froze and another reason is, because...

I'm gay"
