CHAPTER ONE

"LET'S JUST drink, pare. Alam kong masu-solusyonan mo rin iyang problema mo soon." His one friend tapped his right shoulder in a reassuring way. He just nodded toward him in affirmation.

Nandito sila sa sikat na club dahil inaya niya ang mga kaibigan na uminom kasama niya. They know his preferences and family issues, kaya dinamayan nila siya. Sometimes, may family problems din ang mga ito since college days nila kaya sama-sama sila kapag gustong maglasing ng kung sino sa kaibigan nila. Napatingin si Luziano sa direksyon ng nagsasalitang Olliver Sandejas. Isa rin itong taga pagmana ng sikat na kompanya sa syudad ng San Dimartino, kilala rin bilang playboy sa kanilang dating paaralan.

"Thank you, p're," Luziano grumbled to his direction with much gratitude. Thankful siya dahil his small circle of friends has his back.

"Ano ka ba, wala iyon, p're," nakangiting sabi lang ni Olliver sa kaniya.

Binalingan niya ang iba. "Salamat sa inyo, mga p're."

"No problem, p're," sabi ng isa niyang kaibigan. Si Storme Madrigal.

"Walang anuman, pare. Malakas kayo sa akin, eh," sabi naman ng ika-apat nilang kaibigan. Si Cebastian Benavidez.

Tumayo na lang siya roon dahil na-iihi na siya. Agad na sinundan ng mga tingin galing sa mga kaibigan ang biglaang pagtayo niya. He dusted himself bago nag-anunsyo na umihi muna siya. They waved him off and started back to their talking.

Luziano is still very sober kahit parang tatlong bote na ng beers ang kaniyang ininom. He has high alcohol tolerance, kaya a single shot of alcohol wouldn't faze him.

He made his way to the club's bathroom without staggering and sa wakas, the music and loud bass playing in the background is toned down a bit. Malinis naman ang bathroom ng club---which is why it is popular among party people---kaya walang mga foul smell sa sinasabing palikuran. The music is playing, so they kinda have to shout upang magkarinigan. But both heard each other clearly even though the music is playing in the background.

"A-ako po?" ang nagtatakang tanong ng lalaki sa kaniya. The guy reluctantly eyes him, and faces his colleagues na kanina pa nagmamasid sa kanilang dalawa.

"Sugot dayun, bayot! Di' ba gusto ka ug AFAM?! Go na dayun!" The tantalizing guy was encouraged by his colleague in their local dialect. Interesting.

He saw the guy blushed before facing him finally. Their eyes met again. Para siyang malulunod sa mga mata nito. Why does the guy has this huge effect on him? Who is this guy, even?

"I, uhm, s-sure! Let's get a drink," the guy agreed while fidgeting with a flushed cheeks. It looks cute on him.

The tantalizing guy's answer made him smile wider. Leading the way, he immediately lead them to the nearest stools. The guy sat beside him, he just also sat there habang hinahati ang atensyon sa bartender.

"Any drink in mind?" binalingan niya ang lalaki at tinanong ito.

"Just a light drink, please," ang sagot nito sa kaniya. "Thank you."

"Please drop the formalities. Nagmu-mukha akong matanda at intimidating na ka-usap, eh."

Nanlaki ang mga mata ng lalaki, and if he didn't found that reaction cute, tinakpan pa nito ang bibig with a baffled expression. "Marunong ka po pa lang mag-Tagalog?" gulat na tanong nito sa kaniya.

Well, that was hella cute. "Yes. Dugong Pinoy and raised here," he smugly said. "And please drop the 'po' because it makes me look and sound old. I am only twenty-two."

The guy gasped and showed a baffled expression again. What's up with his flabbergasted expressions?

"Twenty-two pa lang ang edad mo?" gulat nitong tanong with his interesting accent. The guy really thought that Luziano is thirty something. He looks older than his age! "Mas matanda pala ako sa 'yo ng dalawang taon, shuta."

It was his time to be baffled now. "You're twenty-four?"

Hindi kasi ito mukhang twenty-four. Sa bagay, that kind of age is still a start of being a young adult. He likes younger and cute dudes, pero this guy is older than his preferences. But he's too interesting to not entertain and just abandon.

"Damn. There's a lot of things that I don't know about you. The more that I know you, it made me drawn to you," manghang pahayag ni Luziano sa lalaking ka-usap.

He gestured the guy to go ahead. The nameless, tantalizing guy can finally have a name on his mind.

"I'm Tyrell," the guy introduced himself. "It is a pleasure meeting you . . ."

Tyrell . . . That's a cute name. "My name's Luziano." He offered his huge hand to the cute guy. Agad naman nitong tinanggap ang kamay niya, and damn, he felt a jolt of electricity when their hands are in contact. Something inside him is triggered.

LUMALALIM ANG gabi, at lumalalim din ang pagkakilala ng dalawa sa isa't-isa. Maraming bagay ang nalaman si Luziano kay Tyrell, and vice versa. There's so many differences between the two of them, but they converge like the two of them are very compatible.

Luziano just found out that Tyrell and his colleagues are a freshly graduated teachers after passing the board exam. Tyrell is going to teach at a local Catholic school in some small town called Don Carlos. It was called Loyola High School, as he remembered. "Your eyes. Dalawa ang kulay nila . . ." pansin ni Tyrell sa mga mata ni Luziano. Luziano's eyes are the combination of light blue and lush green eyes. He got his blue eyes from his father, while he got his green eyes from his mother. Both of his parents has an American heritage.

"Are you weirded by them?"

"No, it's beautiful," nakangiting tapat ni Tyrell sa kaniya. "Ang ganda nila parehas kahit hindi tugma ang mga kulay sa isa't-isa."

His heart thumped loudly inside his chest. Tyrell's compliment to his abnormal eyes brings unknown emotions to him. Most of the people around him are weirded out by his eyes, so he always wear his green contact to hide his other eye color. Today, hindi na siya nag-abalang isuot ang mga ito dahil iniwan niya sa kuwarto ng mansyon nila.

"Your eyes are beautiful, too," he compliments the company's two set of warm chocolate eyes. "I feel like drowning in them, in a good way. Your eyes held so many emotions that I am afraid it is reading through my soul. They're the most attractive shade of brown I've ever seen."

His voice was soft and soothing, Tyrell was listening attentively to what he was saying. Hindi makapaniwala ito sa sinabi ni Luziano dahil ngayon lang siya nakatanggap ng ganoong komplimento. Most people finds brown eyes boring, plain and common. Heck, the Brown Eyes by Destiny's Child was the only song he heard about being tantalized and mesmerized by brown eyes.

He saw nothing but the truth with what Luziano stated. His lips became dried, something is tugging his mind, and his heart is beating like crazy since the first time Luziano smiled at him.

Before he knows it, their head are leaning forward. It is very tempting to move forward and do something . . . wild. And for the first time, their lips met.
