Erza's POV

~ 2 years later ~

We're now in year 12, our final year of high school before we go off our separate ways. Jellal and I had been happily together as a couple since that day on the beach for our 'second chance' date. Lucy and Natsu were also still a couple, as well as Gray and Juvia. Surprisingly (or not so surprisingly), Gajeel and Levy got together, and Evergreen and Elfman got together. It was also the day of graduation. I couldn't believe it was the end of our last year and it was graduation!

"Erza! Come help me over here" Lucy called.

"Coming" I replied and went over to her, in the kitchen.

It was in the hall at Fairy Tail High. I started helping Lucy carry food from the kitchen to the tables in the hall. There were bowls of punch and plates of brownies and party pies, and many more. Oh, I almost forgot, there was strawberry cheesecake.

"Thank you for your help. It's nice to have some people in this school who like to volunteer. You can all go now and I'll see you tonight at 6:00pm" Makarov said.

"Bye" the volunteers who helped set up graduation chorused.

Lucy, Levy, Juvia and I volunteered to help with graduation and now that we were done, we were going back to my place to eat and then get dressed. We took the bus and got to my house.

"Man, I'm starving. Just looking at all the food at graduation made me drool" Lucy exclaimed.

We went straight to the kitchen and I made everyone some sandwiches. I ate two jam sandwiches and then washed the dishes after everyone. The girls were upstairs in my bedroom, no doubt getting ready so I went to join them. I took a shower and then slipped into my red dress.

"Damn girl! You look amazing!" Lucy exclaimed when she got one look at me.

"Thanks. You look good too" I said as my cheeks tinted pink.

My dress was a backless red dress with sliver beaded designs at the waistline and the dress went down to my knees. Juvia did my make up for me which was lipstick, mascara and eye liner. Then I did my hair into a ponytail. I also decided to wear my red heart necklace I got from Jellal.

"Wow, we look so good. But we have to go now" Lucy said.

Lucy was wearing a pink halter dress, Juvia had a navy blue dress with one strap and Levy had a blue and gold backless dress. We did look amazing, perfect for our year 12 graduation. Hurrying down stairs, we slipped on our shoes and went to Fairy Tail High for graduation. When we got there, we put on our graduation robes and hats.

"This is so exciting!" Lucy squealed.

Makarov ordered us into lines and we waited for the ceremony to start. Parents filed into the room, taking their seats and teachers lined the walls. Minutes later, when we were ready to start, the graduation ceremony began. Many students - including me - got there certificates and awards. After everyone shook hands with Makarov and the speeches were said, the ceremony finished. All the year 12 students got up on stage and lined up. We then sang in beautiful harmony, the song 'Graduation (Friends Forever)'. The audience applauded us and in return, we threw our graduation hats in the air for celebration.

Next was the dinner/disco, the students' favourite. Everyone stripped out of their graduation gowns and were left in their party clothes. I was in a huddle with my close friends, while smoothing out my red dress and tightening my ponytail. Before we were able to dance and eat, Makarov said another speech, which was mainly about how we were amazing students that he will miss and he wished us a good luck in the future.

"Come on Erza! To the food" Lucy dragged me to the tables piled with a variety of food and desserts. Natsu, Gray, Juvia and Jellal trailed behind.

We all had some finger food, except for Natsu, who ate the majority of food on the table. Heading to the middle of the room, we danced and let ourselves loose. It felt amazing to be in the last year of high school and I felt like I was dancing all my troubles away. We felt free; no more high school! But after this was university and I was really excited because I was going to the same university as Jellal.

"Congratulations on your speech and awards, Erza" a smooth male voice said behind me.

My face lit up as I turned my head around to see my boyfriend of two-ish years, Jellal. He loosely wrapped his arms around my torso from behind, rested his chin on my shoulder and we swayed together with the music. It was hard to explain but I felt truly happy and alive in this moment with all of my friends, knowing that I won't be seeing some for a while. Natsu and Lucy were in a similar position to Jellal and I while Gray danced with Juvia.

"Thank you. Congrats to you too, Jellal. We finally finished high school. You know, it feels like we've known each other for a long time" I said.

"That's because we have" he replied as he nuzzled his face into my neck.

"It's really hot in here. Want to go outside?" I asked Jellal.

"Sure" Jellal and I weaved our way through the dancing teenagers and got a drink each before we went outside.

In the garden, there was a romantic looking stone bench in the field of grass and an arrangement of colourful plants surrounded it. We sat down on the bench and his warm fingers intertwined with mine. It was a peaceful and romantic moment, while everyone else was inside.

"Erza, did you know that you're beautiful?" Jellal asked out of the blue.

"Really?" I blushed the same shade as my hair.

"Yes. Your beautiful hair, as red as a rose and your beautiful eyes. Nothing ever looked as perfect as you" Jellal smiled.

"Thank you."

"I'll love you forever and always. You know that, right?"

"Of course. Stop being so cheesy."

"I'm just happy that I got to spend the rest of high school with you and hopefully the rest of my life with you."

"I'm happy too. All I need is you to be happy" I leaned my head on his shoulder in bliss.

It was true and we were finally going to have their happily ever after. We went over all the bumps on the road and we had now found a flat surface, our happy ending. Time's precious; life's precious and I wanted to spend it with Jellal.

The next thing I knew, Jellal was on one knee in front of me. I looked down at him in surprise but mostly happiness. In his hands was a small black box with a sparkling diamond ring in it. Was he... proposing?

"Jellal?" I asked unsure.

"Erza, you are the most amazing woman I have ever met and I want to live with you forever, have kids together and die old together. Whenever I'm around you, everything lights up and you make my life complete. You're the other piece to me and you make me a better person. I love you with all my heart. What I'm trying to say is... Erza Scarlet, will you marry me?"

Oh. My. God. No words could describe how I felt. I felt like I could've fainted from all the happiness inside me. I loved him a lot and I couldn't wait for the years to come. After all, our love is sweeter than strawberry cake. So I just nodded as tears threatened to spill, until I could speak again.

"Yes, Jellal Fernandes, I will marry you."
