Delivery Month

Sanyu opens her eyes and slowly sits on the bed. She rested her back on the headboard and placed her hand on her fully grown baby bump.

"Good morning, baby." She mumbled rubbing it.

She grabbed her mobile and called Renuka for help. They're moved to his parent's house. Renuka had been taking care of her like her own daughter. She was helping her in bathing, dressing or anything. It's not like Randhir don't help her but he had been handling the kids these day.

"What do you want to wear?" Renuka asked making her sits on the couch.

"I don't want to wear too heavy clothes. I want to wear Randhir's shirt and one of my lose shorts." She replied with a sighs.

Sanyukta was having trouble from past one week. Sometimes at night she felt shortages of breath, constipation and frequent urination. There are chances of her getting through C-section. That's the reason they're extra careful toward her.

"What do you want eat?" Renuka asked as they comes out of the room.

"Umm... spicy chhole and puri with nimbu aachar (lemon pickle)." Sanyu said licking her lips and Renuka chuckled.

"I'm getting vibes that there is another boy inside you. You've been eating spicy food a lot." Renuka said ruffling her hair.

"Did you craved for spicy food when you're pregnant with Randhir?" Sanyu asked sitting on the sofa.

"Yes. I troubled Harsh a lot. You sit here. I'll be back." Renuka said and goes to the kitchen.

Sanyu felt a hard kick and caressed her baby bump.

"Hey, baby. I hope you're fine. Mamma is worried for you." She said and felt another kick.

"What mother and baby are talking?" Randhir asked sitting beside her and she leaned her head on his chest.

"Where are my babies?" She asked entwinning their fingers.

"They're with dad." He replied kissing her fingers.

"I'm worried, Randhir. What if som.."

"Ssh.. don't say anything. You and our baby will be fine." He said kissing her forehead.

"Thank you." She mumbled resting her head on his chest.

"No need. It's my duty to take care of you." He said caressing her hair.

After few minutes Renuka came and put the tray in front of her. Sanyu pushes him and smelled her favorite food.

"Wow... chhole. It looks delicious, mom." Randhir said and about to touch it but she slapped his hand away.

"This is for my daughter." Renuka mouthed.

"I'm your son too." He said rolling his eyes and she glared him.

"You're so dramatic. Just like your dad." Renuka mocked him.

"He is nowhere like me." Harsh said coming there with Rayna and Shaurya.

"Mamma, I'm hungry." Rayna said sitting in her father's lap.

Shaurya too climbed in his lap and patted Sanyu's baby bump.

"Hey, don't eat that. I'll get you another one. This one too spicy." Renuka said going to the kitchen.

"Dad, why'd said that he is nowhere like you?" Sanyu asked chewing the food.

Renuka comes back and both the kids goes to her.

"He is just jealous of his own son." Renuka said thus Harsh glared at her.

"Why'd I be jealous of my own son?" Harsh asked narrowing his eyes.

Their banter continues and spends time in talking and pulling each other's legs.

Sanyu kissed on her babies' forehead and ruffles their hair.

"Now go and don't trouble your grandparents." Sanyu said hugging them and they hugs her.

"Sanyukta, they're not going forever. They sleeps with mom and dad every night." Randhir said rolling his eyes and she glared him.

"Daddy, no meany meany to mamma." Rayna scolds him.

"Daddy's favourite princess can't scold him." Randhir said lifting her in his arms and tickled her waist.

"Mamma, Good night. Good night, baby." Shaurya kissed her stomach and ran from there.

Randhir put down Rayna and she ran behind him. He goes behind them and saw them safely reaching to his parents room then closed the door.

"How're you feeling?" He asked sitting on the bed and she laid her head on his lap.

"Good. How's your meeting?" She asked holding his hand.

"It's good. I'm sorry that I had to go." He apologized.

"It's ok. It's not even your fault. Also, I'm fine." She said kissing his knuckle.

"Your due is so near. I'm scared and excited at the same time. I can't wait to hold our baby." He said kissing her forehead and nose.

Sanyu got up and looked at him.

"Can I ask you something?" She asked biting her lips nervously.

"You don't have to ask me. Just say it. What is it?" He asked holding her hands.

"What if you've to choose one? Whom will you choose? Me or the baby?" She asked thus his eyes turns red and squeezed her hands tightly.

"What the fuck you're speaking? Have you gone mad?" He asked angrily.

"I've not gone mad. You know about my condition. I just want you to choose the baby over me." She said with teary eyes.

He cupped her face little harshly and touched their foreheads.

"Not going to happen in this life. I can't loose you. I won't be able to survive without you." He said closing his eyes.

"And what about the baby?" She asked shedding tears.

"I've raised Shaurya alone and I don't regret because I didn't loved her. With you, it's different. I love you a lot. I'm addicted to you. I can't imagine myself without you. Call me selfish but I don't have strength to lose you. I do love our baby but I'm too selfish to let you go." He replied hugging her.

"Bu.."

"Shh... just don't say anything. And don't you dare to speak like that again. You and our baby will be fine." He said kissing her neck and she shook her head crying.

"I'm sorry. I didn't meant to hurt you." She said rubbing his back.

"Stop overthinking. You're stressing yourself. Just relax and stay happy." He said breaking the hug.

"I'm sorry. I promise I won't overthink." She said kissing his lips and he kisses her back.

They sucked each other lips like thirsty for ages. She was sucking his upper lips and he was sucking her lower lips. He bits her lips and entered his tongue in her. She moaned in his mouth as he tasted every corner of her mouth. Feeling out of oxygen they pulled apart and breathed heavily. The night grew darker and they talked until she gets tired and fell asleep in each arms.

A Week Later

Randhir was sitting on a bench covering his face between his palms. Renuka was consoling him. The doctor comes out and he rushes to her.

"How's she, doctor?" Randhir asked worriedly.

"Not very good. She's tired and week. We've to do C-section right now." The doctor said.

"Please, save them." Randhir requested.

"Both of them are fine. It's just Sanyukta is tired and can't give birth naturally. The baby is struggling to come out so we just have to do C-section to take the baby out. So don't worry. They'll be fine and healthy." The doctor said.

"But doctor you said that her condition isn't good." Randhir asked surprised.

"Her condition improves a lot. I don't have much time to explain you. We need to do the operation now. You go with the nurse and sign the papers." The doctor said.

After 14 Hours

Sanyu stirred in sleep and slowly opens her eyes. She felt pain in her abdomen and vagina as well. Her gaze fell on Randhir who was sleeping peacefully.

"R.. Randhir..." She called him.

He woke with jolts and rushes to her.

"Heyy... how're you feeling?" He asked helping her in sitting up and put a pillow behind her back.

He gave her water and she drank the water.

"I'm fine. Where is our baby?" She asked with teary eyes.

"He is here." He said walking to the crib and took their baby boy.

"He." She mumbled with a smile and he placed him in his lap.

He sits beside her and kissed her hair. She adores her baby boy and kisses his tiny forehead. Randhir pressed the button and called a nurse.

"He looks like you." She said observing him keenly.

"His nose is like you. His eyes are like mine." He said brushing his fingers on his head.

"Where are Shaurya and Rayna?" She asked.

"At home. They'll be here in the morning to see you and their sibling. They're already excited." Randhir said with a chuckle and she giggled.

Just then a nurse comes along with the doctor. Randhir stood up and greets the doctor.

"How're you feeling Mrs. Shekhawat?" The doctor asked checking her.

"Pain in lower abdomen but I'm fine." Sanyu said with a small smile.

"Good. You and your baby both are healthy. His weight is 7 lb 4 oz. You've got some stitches on your stomach due to the surgery so you'll have to be careful about it. I've already talked with Mr. Shekhawat about it. You've to stay one more night here then you'll get discharge with your baby. Do you have name for the baby?" The doctor asked.

"Ryan Singh Shekhawat." Randhir said and the nurse write down the name.

In the Morning

Sanyu done feeding Ryan and kisses his nose. He was wide awake and feeling the warmth of his own. The door gets open and her big babies ran into the room.

Mamma...

Mamma...

Rayna and Shaurya started struggling in climbing on the bed. Randhir comes and placed them on the bed.

"Careful." He said sitting on a stool.

"Haww... mamma, it looks ugly." Shaurya said and Randhir chuckled.

"You don't say such things to your brother. He is beautiful." Sanyu said ruffling hus hair.

"Mamma, he hold my finger." Rayna giggled and they laughed.

"His name is Ryan and he is your little brother. You both have to play with him but after he grow up big like you." Sanyu said kissing her forehead.

Randhir took Ryan from her and walked to the window rocking him in his arms.

"Mamma miss you." Shaurya said snuggling in her arms.

"I miss you too mamma." Rayna said wrapping her arms around her.

"I missed you too my babies." Sanyu said kissing their foreheads and cuddles them closer to her.

After sometime Randhir laid Ryan in the crib and kisses his forehead. He looks at Sanyukta who was busy in adoring their babies who was snoring softly. Even though they slept all night but the warmth of mother hits something different. They've been away from her for the past month.

"They really missed you." Randhir said sitting beside her and took Rayna in his arms.

"I know. They tried to understand the situation and somewhere succeeded in too but I know they're holding themselves. They're holding not to throw themselves at me and showers me with their numerous kisses. They're missing sleeping beside me. They're missing my attention. I'm their mother and I know what they felt during this month. I feel guilty that I couldn't fulfill my duty as mother." She said with moist eyes and he embraced her.

"Hey... it's fine. It's not your fault. You tried to give them your attention even going after through rough pregnancy phase. You tried your best. Don't feel guilty. You're always around them." He said kissing her forehead and wiped her tears.

She just cried for a few minutes and let out her pain that she had stored inside. After sometime she stopped crying and composed herself.

"I promise that I'll give you all my attention to you both. You both and Ryan are meant World to me. And I love you a lot." She said kissing their cheeks.

"All love for only babies. What about barbie's papa? Don't you think he also deserves little bit of love?" Randhir asked with a pout and she chuckled.

"You're not a kid so you don't deserve my love." She said twisting her lips.

"But I'm kid's papa. And being the father of your kids, I deserves some kisses for now." He said puckering his lips and she slapped his lips.

"Stop. Our babies are here." She said scolding him.

"So? Let them know that their papa loves their mommy a lot." He said capturing her lips.

She smiled between the kiss and held his shirt kissing him back. They broke the kiss and touched each other foreheads.
