The blurb didn't kindle an interest in me to jump into your book to read. It was short, like really short, considering the fact it is a novel and not a short story. I felt the highlighting of 'French' was unnecessary. Blurb needs a must change.

First of all, you have butchered your words. It's a blurb so the grammar has a crucial role in making the first and best impression of your book. It is small and doesn't necessarily tells what it holds inside but just tells the reader to read it, which is a flag down.
