Chapter 12

Hi loves! Another chapter up! I didn't want to leave you guys hanging so ya. Enjoy!

* 2 weeks later *

Matthew's POV:

This two weeks have been eventful. I found out that Dylan had paid for my hospital bills and my mum's one when a nurse told me that I don't have to pay for the bills when I went there to settle payment last week.

When I went to find Dylan to tell him not to pay me anymore for the nest three years while working for him in return for the hospital bills paid, he almost went to the hospital to kill the 'bastard doctor'. His words, not mine.

He sounded creepy to be honest. He was emitting a dangerous aura as he mumbled under his breath about some canines, chainsaws, dicks and blood........something like that............. I don't even want to know what he was thinking.

It's also been 2 weeks since I last heard Caydon call me 'mummy' or what I believed to be mummy. Not that I'm complaining or anything...I'm not technically his whoever...just his caretaker to be exact.

* Ringgggg...Ringggg....* Oh! The ringing of the phone snapped me out of my daydream as I hurried towards the house phone. Did he leave anything behind?

"Hello?"

"Hi Matthew, Dylan here. Can you help to pack bentos for later? Pack anything you like."

"Are you going out?" Oh shit. I didn't mean to sound busybody.

"We're going out. Don't worry about Caydon, Emily will be fetching him later."

"Are you sure? Don't you have work today?"

"It's fine. Don't worry. Just get the bentos packed and wear something comfy. I'll pick you up at around 10am later when I come back to take some things."

"Oh...okay. See you later."

"See you."

Weird...oh well, I have to get the bentos done up quickly. I have only 2 hours to get everything ready and to get changed. Why must he tell me only now?

Is it for revenge for drawing mustache on his face when he's sleeping? I guess it is. It's not my fault though...blame Caydon and his puppy eyes. I can never say no to his cuteness.

Dylan's POV:

"Where are we going?" He asked for the third time, hoping that I'll crack and tell already. Nah.

"Secret."

"Oh come on Dylan. Pleaseeeee? One hint?" He gave me the puppy eyes which I quickly look away from. I can never resist his or Caydon's puppy eyes.

"Nope." He continued to whine while pouting cutely. So cute. I want to take his lip between my teeth and have a taste of him. I bet it's delicious.

"We're here." Stopping the car, his eyes widened in awe as he jumped out of the car immediately.

"Woahhhhh!" He exclaimed amazed as he took in the marvelous scenery around him. I love this place. The cooling breeze and the peace and tranquility here is not something one can experience in the city. "This place is beautiful Dylan!"

"I know. That's why I brought you here." Grabbing the bag, I took his hand in mine before leading him down the rocky path to the stream.  I just don't want him to fall and get hurt. That's why I took his hands. Don't think else why.

"Careful now. It's very slippery with the algae growing." He nodded before gripping onto my hand tightly as we descended cautiously.

"Hope you know how to Kayak?" His eyes lit up at the paddle I'm holding as he took it from me excitedly.

"I guess? The last time I've kayaked was 15 years ago but it should be the same." He announced gleefully before rushing over to the kayaks like a little child.

Matthew's POV:

"Here. I hope you'll like it? I'm sorry it's kinda childish..." I laid out the bento boxes in front of him embarrassed as he stared at them speechless. I'm too used to making these for Cade, I kinda got carried away in making them.

"It looks wonderful Matt. Don't need to apologize, it's cute." He chuckled deeply as he ruffled my hair. Picking up one of the animal rice ball, he took a bite out of it and stared at me with wide eyes. Er....is it that bad?

"Wow. what did you put in this Matt? It's awesome!" He took another huge bite out of it.

"For the one you're eating, it's terriyaki chicken filling. The pig looking one is filled with ham and cheese while the panda one is filled with tuna."

"Wow...where did you learn all of these? You've got to teach me one day." Um...I rather not touch the stove with him for now. The last time I tried to teach him how to cook porridge, it turned into an avalanche of black...mush.

"I used to help out in a cafe. It made me want to learn more so I researched on them and tried out daily. I can teach you how to make cookies if you're interested?" A oven shouldn't be as bad compared to a stove right?

"No wonder you're so good in it. Yes please! Can we make nutella ones? Cade loves nutella."

"Sure."

"Oh my goodness! We succeeded!" Dylan cheered joyfully at the positive turn out of results making me shake my head while laughing. This must be a great achievement for him since this is the first edible food he had made.

"Yes yes."

"I'm going to change first. Maybe you should change too." He laughed as he stared at my shirt. Very funny...

"I wonder who caused it." I shot him a glare making him snicker as he washed his hands. I'm practically covered in nutella and flour. Don't ask me how it happened. The story is too long to narrate.

Taking the apron off, I threw it into the laundry basket before making my way up to see a nicely wrapped box on my bed and a note on the side. What's this?

Opening the letter, the words caught my attention immediately.

Hi Matthew, I know that I've only known you for a month or so but there's the thing. Please open the box after reading this note. If your answer is yes, please find me in my room. If your answer is no, drop a plate or something.

                                              ~Dylan

Untying the ribbon, I opened the box slowly, revealing words that brought tears into my eyes.

Dylan's POV:

"D-Dylan?" I snapped my head up swiftly to see Matthew standing at the door with tears in his eyes.

"I-I will." Once the words left his mouth, I felt something in me snap and I was moving automatically to him. Capturing him instantly, I wrapped my arms around him tightly, pulling him into my chest as he buried his face against me.

"Thank you Matthew, for giving me a chance." I whispered into his ear softly as tears seeped into my shirt.

"Thank you for giving me a chance too, Dylan."

Damn it, he's too precious.
