I yawned when I saw the time. Mom asked me yesterday to accompany her to her friend's house today.
Since, I have no plans this weekend, I agreed.

I was torn between staying at home instead and going with her. I miss waking up late since I have to endure ten months of school yearly.

Don't get me wrong. I love studying and books.

But, sometimes, I would prefer a news telling us about suspension of classes everytime I wasn't able to do an advance reading and a pop quiz happens.

"Nak! You're coming with me today, right?" Mom knocked on my door and crossed her arms over her chest while looking at me.

I paused and pretended to stare blankly at her. And before I knew it, she was tickling me.

"Ayaw mong bumangon ha!" She hissed and continued tickling my waist as I dissolved into a fit of giggles.

"Oo na, Ma!" I shrieked and tried to catch my breath. Finally, she let me go.

"Ano, tinatamad ka pa?" She asked and put her hands on her hips.

I shook my head and grinned while calming my senses.

"Taas ng energy mo, Ma! Pwede maligo muna?" I asked and she rolled her eyes at me.

"Bilisan mo ha. Tanghali na." She said and went to the door. She peeked at me once more and warned, "pag sa loob ng limang minuto, hindi ka pa naliligo, hindi tayo didiretso sa Mall."

My eyes widened and I sat upright.
"Opo! Gising na gising na po!" I called out and fixed my bed. I immediately rummaged through my wardrobe and pulled out a high-waisted jeans and my pink cropped top.

The summer season has started. And, I am aching for an escapade at an island or a beach.

Glad that it was ironed already, I hung them up and went inside the bathroom to shower. It took me almost twenty minutes as it includes my daily routine, skin care and all.

Once done, I wore the pair I brought out and grabbed my sling bag before going downstairs to Mom and Daddy talking about work.

"Morning, Dad." I said and he smiled at me. I sat down and we began our breakfast.

"San lakad nyong mag-ina?" He asked and bit over the tocino and sipped on his coffee.

"She will come with me to my former classmate's house. Then, we will go to the mall after. Ikaw, hon?" Mom asked and chewed on her food.

"Will be meeting Arturo by lunch time to talk about the partnership of the companies. Pero, I will try to stop by at the Mall later. Text nyo ako or tawagan pag andoon na kayo.  I'll try to make it later. " Dad said and winked at me.

If there is one thing I love about my parents, it would be their love for each other. They always see to it that   they spend quality time either together or with me around.

Sana ako rin, makahanap ng ganyan. Ng katulad nila Mom.

Mom is so lucky to have someone like Dad.

I sighed and soon, we finished eating.

"Should I drive you there or si Mang Rolly na lang ang maghahatid sa inyo?" Dad asked when he saw us standing up and excusing ourselves.

"Si Mang Rolly na lang, Hon. Masyado pang maaga para umalis ka ng bahay. Pahinga ka pa." She said and kissed him on the lips. "Alis na kami ha. Para makauwi din kami agad."

"Ingat kayo ha. Love you both." Dad said and I kissed him on the cheeks too.

"Bye, Dad. See you later." I said and we went out to the garage.

Soon, Mom and me found ourselves on the road to her friend's house not too far from ours.

We entered quite a small house.

It is small compared to us but it is homey and cozy. It has only one floor but it is enough to fit in a small family with enough space for everyone.

Mom immediately introduced me to Tita Madel and they began talking about their upcoming reunion which Mom will be organizing. It turned out that they are friends since college.

I wanted to butt in since I want to see how things are outside their little home which I rarely see in our household.

The usual scenario of a small town where everyone knew everybody when a door opened and I saw a guy about my age topless and with a towel wrapped around his waist.

The guy is indeed hot. He may not have the abs like most male models do but they are on the stage of forming already.

For someone in our age, he has this intimidating yet comfy aura in him. The kind that make me want to know him more and get to be on his fun side.

He passed by us mumbling a good morning and excuse me as he went to his room opposite their bathroom.

My naughtiness got the best of me and I gave him a smirk.

Looks like my summer will be interesting, after all.
