Andressa screamed at the top of her lungs. An agent advanced toward them. The next instant she felt an excruciating pain as her left arm was forcefully pulled and folded to the back of her body. She gasped out loud in pain. She felt the coldness of metal touch the skin of her forehead. Andressa could see a gun pointed at her forehead from the corner of her eyes. She breathed in heavily clenching her stomach unable to believe what was happening. Adrian!

"Stop where you are or I kill her!" Adrian roared loudly.

"No No!" I groaned in pain because Adrian's grip was too tight.

"Put your weapon down Makos! Let the girl go. We have a proposition for you". The chief agent told Adrian as if he was trying to assure him.

"You think I am a fucking retard? Move an inch I will shoot her brain right on to your face". On that remark he hit Andressa on the forehead with his gun.Adrian shouted showing no mercy on Andressa who was already in a shocking state.

"Please! Don't hurt me" Andressa cried, hot tears running down her cheeks. Just then her father entered the living room.

"You worthless piece of shit let go of my daughter right now" Samuel yelled at Adrian. His entire body was trembling with anger.

"You should have thought better Samuel. You think you can get to me so easy. Let me go leave and I will not harm her." He spat back at Samuel.

Andressa could not believe the words two men were bickering. This was a set up all along to get Kael. Papa, why would you involve yourself in all this. How do you know who Adrian is? Will Adrian actually shoot her she wondered? Of course he did a good job at hurting her physically already.

"Mr.Andrade please stay out of this." Another agent tried to push Samuel away from the scene but he shook himself away from his grasp.

"The hell I will stay away! If you don't kill this bastard, I will do it myself" On that remark Samuel pulled out a gun from his back and pointed it at Adrian.

"Samuel I am warning you" Adrian commanded but he did not move the gunpoint away from Adrian.

A gun shot was fired. The noise it made deafening everyone in the room. Andressa felt a sudden piercing pain in her abdomen. She clutched her waist with her free hand felt a warm liquid on her hand. She gazed down to look at her hand and she gulped at what she saw. Her palm was covered in blood. She gasped for air. A strong arm wrap around her body as she felt dazed. She saw the agents lowering their weapons and her father trying to get to her but he was restrained by the agents. He was talking to her but she didn't catch it. The air felt thick and difficult to breath. The voices in the room were inaudible and her vision got blurry. She fluttered her eyelids with difficulty. She felt that her feet are being dragged and the world went all black.

Adrian made it out of the house dragging a passed out Andressa as a shield to cover him or more like pretended that he was kidnapping a shot victim. He had to shove her body inside the car to keep up with his act. He noticed three black SUV's parked nearby and he knew it was the FBI and he will be followed. Escaping from hot pursuit with a wounded woman bleeding to death in his car was absolutely impossible. I only got two options here. Either I escape and let you die or give in and we both die eventually. That retarded father of yours shot you instead of me. Hang in there with me hun.

"I choose option one" Saying that he swiftly took the driver's seat and accelerated the car to the highest speed possible. Ah the fucking sedan won't go any faster! He cursed as he tried to blend in to the traffic and evade the SUV's following them. He heard the sound of a chopper flying above them. Great just great. They have a visual of where we are going. Think Adrian think! He clenched his jaws as he brainstormed for the best strategy to escape.

He drove toward the city so fast. That was the best option to evade the SUV's. It was almost new year and the city was filled with the crowd who are out celebrating and soon there will be fireworks which will momentarily interrupt the visibility to the chopper in air. He knew that it was the only window he gets and he intend to use it wisely.

Adrian glanced at Andressa who was laying in the back seat from the rear view mirror. She looked pale as she has lost a considerable amount of blood. He looked back at the street. He dialled Kael's number to inform that they have a situation.

"Kael! We have a situation" Adrian shouted out.

"What the hell" Kael replied.

"Don't panic I'm warning you. That bastard tried to frame me to the FBI and I had to use Andressa to cover me up."

"Where is she? Is she alright?" Kael roared from the other end of the line.

"She is with me and she is not alright. That son of a bitch missed his shot and it hit her."

"What! Fuck you Adrian I let her go with you so she can be safe and you get her shot" Kael shouted out loud his voice clearly agitated and violent.

"We are being followed and I have about a ten second window in five minutes. Help me out here brother" Adrian told to Kael and there was a momentary silence until Kael spoke again.

"There is a parking lot on to your left one mile ahead. Make your turn when its time and change vehicles. It is possible that the FBI have installed a tracker to the car, You need a diversion. How bad is it?" Kaels voice sounded concerning and hurt when he said the last few words.

"Uh, doesn't look good. She is bleeding" Adrian said as he glanced at Andressa again.

As the clock strike midnight welcoming the New Year to the world the fireworks illuminated the night sky in vivid colours. Now is my chance. Adrian told to himself and roared the engine giving a bit more power to it. He took a steep left turn and in to the parking lot building. He reached the third floor and stopped the engine. Adrian scanned for a vehicle to switch and he noticed a young couple making out in a car. Bye bye for your romance kiddos. He said to himself and ran toward them with his gun in his hand and making sure they don't hear him approaching from far.

"Step out of the car and do as I say, or I shoot my self and kill you" He roared.

He appeared so dangerous and it scared the two youngsters to death. They hardly noticed that what Adrian said meant no harm at all. Both teens stepped out of the car trembling in fear. Adrian threw a pair of handcuffs to the boy and ordered him to cuff the girl's hands.

"Come with me" He ordered and the boy followed.

"W..We don't have any money" He spoke at last trying to negotiate with Adrian.

"I'm here for something else. Quick help me out" He told the boy and he saw Andressa unconscious and pale.

"Who is she? Is she dead?" He questioned out of curiosity. Adrian scooped Andressa up in his arms and started walking in swift movements to the other car. He placed her in the back seat and ordered the boy to get on to the front seat. He quickly obeyed.

"You, stay here and count to one thousand and leave when you are done. If not I will pack him in a duffel bag and send it to the police and put a note that you killed him." Adrian told the girl in a threatening yet mocking tone. She gave him a disgusted look nodding her head in agreement.

He powered up the engine and accelerated giving enough power to exit the parking lot and and blended in to the traffic. He didn't see the SUV's that followed them earlier and he noticed that the chopper was still present. He sighed inwardly as he succeeded in evading the FBI. We made it girl. Now I got to take you to a hospital.

"You have one more thing to do!" Adrian told the boy seated next to him.

"What" He asked in a monotone voice.

"You will take her to the ER. I will be watching you and if you don't do it I will hunt you down. Now direct me to the nearest hospital" Adrian said to him and the boy looked at him in a furrowed look.

"It's about two miles from here" He said and gave directions.

As they came near to the hospital Adrian exited the car ordering the boy to take the wheel. He glanced one last time at Andressa, touching her pale face he gulped. I am sorry you had to go through all of this. I will come back for you. Everything will be alright girl. Just hang on tight.

"Good job kiddo! A tip for you, always tie your girls hands. It's much more fun." Adrian told to the boy giving him a pat and a smirk. The boy smiled slyly and drove off to the hospital. Adrian watched from a far as Andressa was taken to the ER.
