Scarlett

''I press my hand onto his shoulder, instantly making him face me, his eyes portrayed a deep red and were swollen from hours on end crying. He pulls me into a seemingly unbreakable embrace, ''I can't live without you Scarlett'' he weeps into my shoulder uncontrollably.

''You don't have to'' I whisper making him release me, he gapes confusedly at my words, ''They've accepted us Cane! They've let me go!''

He still remains still, completely shocked at my words, ''They've accepted us!'' I giggle with fresh tears still glistening in my eyes, he shakes himself up and a broad grin forms on his once frowning lips, it then collides gently with me forehead--''

''Cane hold still'' I shuffle about and settle my head once again on his torso, ''It's nearly the end'' I state and a few sniffs are released , I instantly jump up only to find him shying away with tears rolling down his cheek.

''No no no Cane I didn't mean to! If you're not happy with my novel being published I won't do it! I didn't mean to make you cry no n--'' my body is flipped over with his on mine, he grabs the rough draft of my work and places it on the dresser, ''It's not that love'' he wipes away fresh tears still falling, ''It's just that, your novel on our story reminded me of our struggle to be where we are right now, how much we had to fight for this love. It simply reminds me of how fortunate I am to be with you and how important you really are to me''

With our hands intertwined he graces my cheek with a light peck and then turns us over, ''Rest now gorgeous'' he mumbles and closes his tired eyes. I sit up and grab his glasses on the side table placing them on, ''Oh gheez Cane how do you wear these?!'' I mutter regretfully and pull it off only to find it tangled in my hair.

He chuckles loudly, ''Let me help you before you hurt yourself Miss Clumsy'' he removes the glasses gently from my hair.

''Miss Clumsy?!'' I shout angrily and he smirks, ''Oh yeah! Clumsy is an understatement when it comes to you! I mean cutting yourself everyday! Bumping into random objects and not to mention tripping over air'' he clenches his abs and roars with laughter.

I angrily turn away from him, ''I'm leaving!'' He immediately settles his strong hands around my stomach, ''Let's see you try'' he whispers into my ear.

I grab a pillow and fling it at him, he chuckles harder and releases me, ''A pillow Scarlett?! Really?'' I smile gratefully, ''Well it worked! '' chaff at his reaction I storm out of the room giggling. His footsteps follow soon enough and I'm caught sooner than expected.

He swirls me around and gently lifts me off the ground, ''You were saying?'' He smirks and lowers me down.

He turns me body to face a mirror in our newly built home and then makes an entry behind me, his kisses gently lace my neck while his hand runs down and raises my hand.

He trails over the wedding ring placed on my finger, ''Know what this means?'' He whispers further, I quiet down enjoying his closeness. ''That you're mine''

He spins me around and clenches my waist tight, covering all distance seperating our bodies, I close my eyes as his lips passionately caress mine.

And that's how I fell, blissfully into a love that consumed me, no longer tormented me, a love that belonged to me..
