You were about to walk into Betty's house when Archie comes running up shirtless on the sidewalk.
"Hey babe wait!" He calls out.
"I'll meet you inside" Betty smiles at you before walking in the door
"Hey babe" he says out of breath and leans down to kiss you.
"Ew you're all sweaty" you laugh as you push him away. He looks at you offended.
"I'm kidding I'm kidding" you laugh leaning up to kiss him. He laughs meeting you half way.
"So what are you doing today?" He asks as you pull apart.
"Betty and I need to study for a history test. It's worth 20% of our final grade." You groan thinking about the test.
"Okay well I guess I'll see you later" he says before kissing you. You watch as he runs across the Cooper's lawn to his house. You smile before turning and walking into Betty's house.
"Ugh every time I see you two together being all coupley it makes me want to puke" Betty said.
"Shut up Cooper. You and Jughead have your fun solving crimes but me and Archie are a normal couple and do normal things like go to the movies" you say laughing as you and Betty climb the stairs.
A few hours were spent with both your heads in your textbooks. It was dark outside and you planned on staying at Betty's just so you can pass this damn test. You decided it was a good time to take a break. You got up from your spot on the floor stretching. You turn towards the window with your arms stretched over your head. You expected to see Archie punching the punching bag he had in his room but what you saw was much worse and made your heart break. In the window you saw Archie and Veronica making out and his hands on her ass. You stood in the window staring at the two. Betty came up behind you to see what you were looking at.
"Oh my god" she mumbled.
Veronica and Archie broke apart. He was smiling as he opened his eyes. His smile dropped when his eyes met your tear filled ones.
"I am so sorry y/n" Betty says putting her hand on your shoulder. You just nod your head. Veronica turns around to see what Archie is looking at. When she sees you standing in the window her eyes widen and fill with regret. You couldn't stand looking at the two any longer. You turn around and face Betty with tears streaming down your face.
"Um betts imma head out ok I just need some time alone right now"
"Ok yeah of course" she says helping you pack your backpack. You storm out of the door only to be met with Veronica and Archie running towards you, begging you to wait.
"Please y/n let me explain" Archie yells.
You see Jughead and his friends sweet pea, fangs, and Toni walking up to Betty's house. Betty was outside at her front door ready to jump in if needed.
"Are you ok y/n?" Jughead asks. You just glare at Archie and Veronica before turning around. You hear Jughead ask Archie what the hell he did. As you reach your car and open the drivers side door someone shuts it.
"What the hell?" You asked turning to whoever closed your door. You're met with sweet peas face
"Y/n I'm not letting you drive while your like this" he says
"Pea what else am I supposed to do?" You asked letting out a sob. You have known sweet pea since you were young. You had your own core four on the southside before your mom married a northsider and you moved. The group was you, pea, fangs, and toni. It was the type of friendship that Betty, jughead and Archie had.
"At least let my drive you. You're in no condition to drive" he says, a worried look on his face.
"Y/n can we please talk?" Veronica pleads
"Talk about what V? The fact that you were hooking up with one of yours best friends boyfriends? Or how about the fact that you two have been lying to us for who knows how long? Maybe about how you two broke y/n's heart? Which one would you like to talk about V?" Betty asks with her arms crossed.
"Please y/n" Archie begs.
"No! Ok no I'm done with you two. How dare you ask me to talk, how dare you ask me to listen to you two rationalizing what you did? Are you kidding me right now!? No ok I'm done. With both of you. I hope you two have a wonderful life together and don't bother apologizing because I know the only thing you two are sorry about is getting caught. Lose my number, both of you and don't EVER try to contact me again" you say glaring at the two of them before turning to sweet pea. "Drive me home?
The ride home was quiet except for the sound of the tires against the pavement and the soft sound of the radio playing in the background.
"I should have seen it coming" you say with a sniffle.
"What?" Sweet pea asks confused.
"Veronica and Archie. The way they would look at each other, and not to mention he's from the north side and I am from the south. It would never have worked anyway" you said with a sigh.
"Such an idiot" sweet pea mumbles
"What?" You ask
"He's such an idiot" he says louder " I mean seriously  he would have never treated you right. You are beautiful and smart and funny and amazing and perfect and he didn't deserve you. He never deserved you." sweet pea says ranting. He parks at the front of your trailer. You're looking at him as he turns to look at you. A smile tugs at your lips and your eyes break contact with his and you look at his lips. Wasting no time, you pounce on him locking your lips with his. As you kiss it felt right. With sweet pea, it feels right. As you break apart for air he whispers
"I love you y/n"
"I love you too sweet pea" you whisper. You both smile before leaning in for another kiss.
