You played midfield for the girls soccer team at riverdale high school. Since the merge of the southside and then north side, on the field other teams and even some of your own team mates would talk crap on the new students. You honestly didn't care about the fact that most of them were in a gang. To be honest it was kinda badass. Most of the trash talk coming from the other team was based on how your school was filled with snakes now. The trash talk sometimes got you so fired up you would score the winning goal just to show them that the serpents weren't the only thing they needed to fear from riverdale.
It became worse when you started to get feeling for sweet pea, a serpent. The talking got you even more mad than before and you stopped talking to half your team because of how they viewed the merge as a negative thing.
One day at lunch your team was whispering about the four serpents who sat at the table next to you. Jughead who has always gone to our school, the freakishly tall one named sweet pea who was also your crush, the small Latino who was sweet peas best friend and a short girl with pink hair that seemed sweet.
"How rude they just sat there like they own the table" your teammate Taylor whispered to your other teammate Natalie. Both of them played forward and often used insults to psych out the other team, sadly they did the same in school too.
"Guys it's the school lunch table, it's open to anyone" you say in a normal tone
"No y/n it's not just a school lunch table. The cafeteria has its sections and that table is reserved for the volleyball team" Taylor says in a snotty attitude
"That ridiculous Taylor and you know it. It's a god damn lunch table and that's all it is. Anyone can sit there if they want to. Just because you think less of the serpents doesn't make them any less than we are" You semi shout grabbing everyone's attention.
"Well why don't you go sit with your new buddies. You're off the team" Taylor says. Did I mention that Taylor is the captain.
"Fine by me. I joined this team because I loved it but all you guys care about is being better than everyone else well newsflash, you're not that good at soccer the only reason you're captain is because your coaches favorite" you say before storming out of the lunch room. 
When you exit the cafeteria you hear someone call out your name.
"Hey y/n" the mystery person yells. You turn around and become face to face.. well face to chest... with sweet pea.
"Hi" you say sweetly
"Thank you for what you did in there." He says
"No problem. It's a god damn lunch table it doesn't matter who sits there."
"I'm sorry you got kicked off the team. If there's anyway the others or I can make it up to you just let us know." Sweet pea says
"Well there is one thing..." you trail off.
"Name it" sweet pea says with a smirk
"Take me on a date this Friday" you smile
"O-Ok" Sweet pea stutter slightly.
"Pick me up at 7, I'll text u the details" you say as you walk away towards your next class.
