"PEA CAN YOU GET THE DOOR?!" You shout from the kitchen as you stir the pasta. It was a normal day for you and sweet pea. You were cooking dinner while sweet pea was playing with your dog in your bedroom.
"PEA?!" You shout again "ugh fine" you mumble to yourself as you put down the spoon and go to the trailer door. You open it to find a 2 men standing there.
"May I help you?" You ask.
"Hi I'm Agent Morgan this is Doctor Reid, we're with the FBI. We would like to ask you a few questions" a dark skinned man said before they flashed their credentials.
"Y/n Y/l/n" You introduced.
"Come in" you say opening the door wider and moving out of the way. "Can you just give me a minute?" You ask making your way over to the stove and turning it off before returning to the two agents.
"How can I help you?" You ask
"We're here investigating a child abduction and we were wondering if we could ask you a few questions" a tall skinny guy that seemed way too young to be an FBI agent.
"Of course" you say
"This is Madison Lawrence." Agent Morgan showed you a picture.
"Oh my god" you said taking the picture from his hands.
"So you know her?" Dr. Reid asked.
"Yeah she's one of my old friends little sister" I said looking at the picture through glassy eyes.
"What do you mean by old friend?" Agent Morgan asked.
"When I used to live on the north side of town with my parents. We were more than best friends, we were sisters. We Lived next door to each other. I remember the day they brought Maddie home. We were 4 years old playing in my yard since she was staying with us while her parents were at the hospital. They carried her up in a car seat with blankets wrapped around her. We both ran to her the minute we saw them step out of the car with her. From then on she was like my little sister too. Until two years ago when my parents died in a car accident. I came here to live with my uncle but I  moved out last year because he didn't want me anymore. By that time I lost contact with the Lawrence's" You said holding back a sob.
"Hey babe who's here?" Pea asked came from the bedroom.
"Agent Morgan, this is dr. Reid, we're with the FBI." Agent Morgan introduced. "We're here investigating the abduction of Madison Lawrence."
"Who?" Pea asked.
"She's a 12 year old girl who lives on the north side of town." Dr. Reid explained.
"And let me guess everyone on the north side told you to check the serpents" pea said with an eye roll "well I'm gonna make this simple for you. No serpent would ever EVER go after a child. Good luck on your search but nothing on this side of town is going to help you. Now please leave" pea said annoyed.
"Of course." Agent Morgan said as he stood up. "Here's my card if you need anything else" he said handing you a card. You nodded before showing them out.
When they were gone, you turned to sweet pea.
"You're not gonna keep that card are you?" He asked.
"Yeah I am" you said in a sassy tone.
"Why?! He was obviously flirting with you. There's no other reason he would give you his card. You didn't know that little girl so obviously he was flirting with you! and the nerdy guy was giving you the eyes right in front of me!" Pea started getting angry
"ACTUALLY I DO KNOW HER. SHE WAS LIKE A LITTLE SISTER TO ME! HE WASN'T FLIRTING WITH ME  HE GAVE IT TO ME BECAUSE I COULD ACTUALLY HELP THEM! NOW IM GOING TO THE POLICE STATION TO FINISH THE CONVERSATION WE WERE HAVING BEFORE YOU CAME IN AND BECAME AN INSENSITIVE ASS!" You said walking to the door, slamming it behind you.
