It's been almost a year of dating sweet pea and he still hasn't said those three words, those 8 letters. You were currently working at pops but you were lost in thought.
"Hey y/n" Toni says sitting at the counter, Fangs and sweet pea sitting on either side of her.
"Hey guys, what can I get ya?" You ask
"Ummm maybe a conversation with my girlfriend?" Sweet pea asks
"About what? We just talked this morning" You say confused as you continue cleaning the counter.
"What's wrong y/n you seem off" Fangs asks concerned, all three of them look at you.
"It's nothing Fangs now are you guys gonna order or what?" You say faking a smile.
"Y/n we see right through that fake smile, we know somethings up" Toni says
"I promise I'm fine T, it's just school work stressing me out" You say with another fake smile. Before anyone can say anything else, sweet peas phone goes off.
"Crap Fangs we gotta go, bye topaz, bye baby" He says before kissing you.
"Okay and now the real reason for the fake smile" Toni asks once the boys are gone. You sigh knowing you'd never be able to lie to Toni.
"It's almost sweet pea and my one year anniversary and he still hasn't said I love you to me" you say looking down at the counter.
"Well you know pea, he's so emotionally unavailable it's probably hard for him" Toni says making excuses for sweet pea.
"Yeah I know T but it's been a year" you said sighing. "Like I say it all the time and it's not like I expect him to say it back but the longer he doesn't say it the more and more I think that he doesn't actually love me. Sometimes I'm scared that to him I'm just a Northside piece of ass that he's just gonna hit it and quit it" you say looking at Toni.
"Are you kidding me? He never stops talking about you. It's been almost a year since you two have been together. If this were a hit it and quit it relationship you wouldn't have made it to a year" Toni says before saying she needed to go.
*later that day*
"So how are you and y/n?" Toni asks sweet pea while they were hanging at sweet peas trailer.
"Good why?" Sweet pea questions.
"Nothing it's just nice to see that you finally found someone you love" Toni says eying sweet pea to look for his reaction. "You do love her don't you?" Toni asks
"Yes of course I do" Sweet pea smiles slightly
"Then why doesn't she know it? Why did she just look like she was going to cry when she said she thought she was just a Northside piece of ass which she told me after you and fangs left the diner. Seriously pea, if all it is is 8 letters why is it so hard to say? Why are you in your own way?" Toni asks
"I don't know Toni I do love her I do but whenever I let her in and pull her close I always just end up asking for space." Sweet pea sighs as he sits down on his couch.
Before either could say another word, you storm into sweet peas trailer.
"Just shut up cause I need to say something. I don't care if you don't feel the same way but I love you sweet pea" you say. Sweet pea stands there stunned. "Please pea say something" you beg.
"I love you too" sweet pea says. You let out a sob of happiness before running into his arms.
