Valentina was ecstatic on the information she learned from her and Dahlia's long talk and "caught up" with what happened with their lives.

Apparently, Avano Tech has been doing really well in production and sales because of Julian's intelligence as the CEO. He became the CEO of Avano Tech after he graduated from college at the age of twenty one, and ever since then, he's considered to be one of the youngest CEOs in the country.

Julian's little brother, Justin was only fifteen years old which was a large gap from the two brothers. Dahlia showed Valentina a picture of him and he was a spitting image of Julian except Justin had blue eyes while Julian had hazel eyes.

"I still have to undergo a bunch of tests before I can actually leave this damned hospital" Dahlia complain while looking. "I can't wait for the entire family to meet you." she smiled.

"Me too." Valentina agreed. She couldn't wait at all.

After her long chat with her "mother", Valentina walked out of the room and into the hallway. She stretched her back before a heavy hand landed on her shoulder to turn her.

It was Julian. His once tamed hair was in disarray and he looked angry. He pulled her to a corner and began to pace.

"I don't know how we can pull this off." he kept murmuring to himself.

"WE can pull this off. It's only a matter of months and then this will be over." Valentina said calmly. She crossed her arms while examining her nails. Julian ran his hands through his hair.

"You still have to pay me more than two thousand dollars." she reminded him. It's been more than a couple of hours that she pretended to be his sister and she needed her money already.

Valentina was happy that she's going to be getting a lot of money from Julian. She was on cloud nine until his next few words killed her mood.

"I'm not going to pay you."

Valentina stood from where she's going to be sitting. "We had a deal!" she exclaimed.

"YOU have to keep that deal because this was meant to be business!" she shouted at Julian. Her heart was beating fast. She needed the money or else she'll be kicked out of her apartment soon from not paying. She couldn't ask the landlord for any more extensions because the landlord wanted something she will never give; her body.

Julian put his hands on her shoulders to keep her still. She was fuming. This rich bastard better be paying her for her Oscar winning acting of being his sister.

"Calm down." he ordered her. "Our deal is going to be extended. You're going to be paid forty five dollars per hour as my sister and you'll be getting your paycheck through your bank account."

Valentina internally sighed in relief. She was grateful that the deal was going to be extended.

"I want to keep the clothes." she reminded him.

Julian rolled his eyes.

"Of course you're going to keep the clothes." he agreed. "The deal also entails for you to live with us."

Valentina took a step back after hearing these words. Living with this bipolar guy? No way, I mean Yes way, she thought changing her mind in an instant.

She didn't have to worry about rent anymore. But what if the deal's over? Where is she going to live then? As if reading her mind, Julian continued to speak.

"I'll be paying for your apartment and any of the tuition fees that you may need." he replied.

Valentina couldn't find an even better deal. She's going to take it. This was a step to reaching her revenge against the Avanos.

"We have a deal." she said smoothly extending her hand. She looked into his eyes with determination.

Tristan took her hand and shook it. His eyes trailed to her eyes for a second and then they trailed to her lips. He gulped and pulled his hand away.

"I expect you to move into the house by next week. I'll text you the details tomorrow morning." he said seriously. And with that, he walked away from her and left the room, leaving Valentina all alone.

Valentina would have screamed if she was in a soundproof room. Things are going her way and she didn't have to try yet. She no longer has to feel the touch of poverty for a few months by becoming an Avano sister.

She left the empty hospital room with a large grin on her face. She was in a good mood until she heard a voice behind her.

"Well, well, well. Look who has more to her than there is to it." a smooth playful voice said.

Valentina rolled her eyes before turning around.

"What do you want, Tristan?" she asked him tiredly.

The man seemed to be a bit taken back from her tone and changed his posture immediately.

He shrugged. "Who would have known that you're an Avano when we've only met a few days ago?"

He took a step towards her before lifting her chin up. "You do look like her. But something about you seems different, that I couldn't quite put my finger on it." he said.

Valentina's heart began to beat faster. Did Tristan suspect that she's not really an Avano? Julian didn't say anything about not telling anyone but she knew it's best to keep it a secret if she wants to continue working for him.

"What's so different about me?" she asked him.

"You're tough, and you're brave." he told her which caught her off guard.

"Oh." Valentina said. She was surprised by his compliment.

Tristan looked at her softly, his long hair falling over his eyes. "From the goons I've saved you from, I could tell that you've had a hard life." he paused.

"And I really hope that you're not pretending to be an Avano for the sake of money." he told her.

Valentina pulled away from him. "What do you mean? " she asked him feigning innocence.

"I'm not pretending. The blood test results were positive." she argued. There were no blood test results but Valentina wasn't about to say that.

Of course there weren't blood test results. She just had to remind Julian to forge them.

"I know." Tristan said.

"But Julian's family has been through a lot with everything that's been going on."

"What do you mean?" Valentina pushed. This is going to be good.

Tristan remained silent before his lazy grin returned to his face. "Since you're an Avano sister, that means I get to see you often now."

Valentina rolled her eyes to him. "Oh joy." she said sarcastically.

"What? What's wrong with seeing my beautiful face every day?" he pouted.

Valentina was about to laugh at how big his ego was. This guy was really something. She doesn't know much about Tristan yet but she can tell that she might be a fuckboy.

"I guess I'll see you often then." she told him.

She wouldn't mind seeing a handsome face every now and then. After all, Tristan seemed as rich as Julian and perhaps she can get at him to get money every now and then. He's an option that she's willing to keep just in case everything goes to shit with her plans.

"When will I see you again then?" Tristan asked her.

Valentina decided to play hard to get. "You'll see me when you'll see me." she replied.

Tristan simply laughed before pointing to a disappearing bruise on his cheek. "Thanks for taking care of me earlier." he told her.

"I really appreciate it." he said leaning forward for a kiss.

Valentina pulled away and turned her cheek so Tristan could only kiss her cheek.

"I definitely took that the wrong way." he groaned.

No shit, Valentina thought.

She arched one perfect brow.

"You're gonna have to work for that kiss." she said coyly.

"I'm not someone you can just kiss, Mr. Park." she continued. "What would my big brother say that his best friend tried to pull his moves on me?" she teased him.

"Maybe he'll say that I have good taste in women." he replied before leaning towards her face again.

Valentina put her finger on his lips to stop him.

"You're going to have to work hard for it then." she smiled before turning and walking away.
