Nightmare 11: Repeat

My Jeff drawing ^

Recap:

What were Smiley's intentions? He wasn't telling you the full truth either, was he? Sure, he hasn't exactly lied to you, but he has been keeping information, like about the cut on your side.

As if he had known about your previous whereabouts, he held his hand out and asked for the key to the door in the hall.

When you handed it to him, he muttered, "I don't think he's going to last very long."

"You don't think so?" you questioned.

"Don't get me wrong, (y/n). He's pretty strong for his state, but this has happened too many times," Smiley muttered.

He locked the door and led you out of the hallway, leaving you with questions and anger.

You followed him into the kitchen and sat down at the bar as he took numerous objects out of the fridge. Without even asking you, he began to make your favorite breakfast food.

"How do you know what I like?" you asked.

"Jeff knew," Smiley said, "and he told me when he brought you here."

You were still in the blue about everything. You just wanted to sit down with Jeff and have him tell you everything that happened over those two years, and about what happened while you were in that coma- or whatever Smiley mentioned.

After watching him make your food in silence, you decided to mumble, "This is really confusing."

Smiley grinned, "I know. It would be for anyone." He placed your food in front of you and added, "Like I told you before, just let everything fall into place. You don't really need to know what's going on."

You looked down at your food and sighed.

"It will work out in the end," he said.

"Just for me? Or for him too?" you asked. "I don't want him to be with me and torture me any more, but I don't think he deserves to die."

"Oh, he won't die, (y/n). Not yet, at least," Smiley said. "I actually don't know what's going to happen. There are so many possibilities."

You took a bite of food.

"There is one thing I haven't told you yet," he muttered.

"Tell me," you demanded immediately.

He rolled his eyes gracefully and said, "I will in a minute."

What was the wait for? You had been waiting for days- months even- to know what had been going on, and as soon as you found out, you weren't even told the full truth. You had every right to know every single detail that you missed.

"I need to show you something first and work out our agreement," Smiley said, snapping you out of your thought.

"What agreement?" you questioned.

He chuckled, "Do you think I'm doing all this out of the bottom of my heart?"

You fell into another hole. You had truly believed that he was doing it just to help you, that he was a friend of Jeff's, but it turned out he had other intentions.

You looked up at him and glared.

"You have to help me," he said.

Oh, great. You had to help another killer. Let's look back at the last time you did that.

"This isn't my fault," you said. "I didn't do this. None of this is what I wanted. It isn't fair that I have to be the one to help you."

"Oh, (y/n)," he sighed. "Nothing in a killer's world is fair." He gave you a large smile and narrowed his eyes.

It was a trap. Everything was a trap. Nothing was in your interest. Nothing you did had an impact on your life. It was now in the hands of a bunch of psychopaths.

"I'm not sure if you have the willpower to do this, but," Smiley started, "I need you to kill him."

You widened your eyes. Kill him?! But why? You weren't able to do that! You never killed anyone before. There was no way you could, especially since it was someone you knew!

"I-I can't!" you yelled. "If you really want him dead, why don't you do it yourself?!"

"For the fun of it," Smiley said. "I want to see how much morality you still have left in you."

"What happens if I don't?" you asked. Obviously, you wouldn't do it. There was no way.

"I will be sure to help Jeff make the rest of your life a spinning circle of confusion and sadness," he said. He laughed a little harder, but quickly calmed himself.

"You're insane," you said. "All you people are insane and evil and horrible!"

This was a new side of Smiley. You had never seen him so malicious. He was always helping you in some way, but now he wanted you to return the favor. The only problem was that what you received was very over-priced.

"I hate you," you said. You thought about leaving and possibly running away to some rural area or city. You would have a better life living in an alley than what Smiley had planned.

"I forgot to mention... (y/n)... If you try to run, we will track you down," he said. "We will find you over and over again and make sure that you never escape."

You shook your head and gave him an angry look.

"If you do what I asked of you, then you will be free to go. You can go back to your empty home and vacant neighborhood where only bloodshed lives on the streets," he ran on.

"Your empty room will be even darker with all the power outages and electricity failures. Your house will be decorated with the corpses of all your friends and family. All belongings will be destroyed and smashed into little, tiny pieces," he laughed.

He looked at you with menacing, glowing eyes and finished with, "Your life will slowly crumble away, but if you don't kill him, it'll just go straight to Hell."

You looked at him, speechless and in agony. You were helpless. There was not a single thing you could do to turn your life back around. It was over.

It was then that you heard a loud, masculine scream come from the basement.

"Jeff?" you asked on instinct, flying out of your chair.

You ran down the hall to the door and tried to open it. Smiley came up behind you and happily unlocked it.

You ran down the stairs, not even bothering to put on a mask. You darted down the long hallway and into the room with florescent lights.

You looked over at Jeff and closed in about five feet before he shot his blue eyes over at you and held his head.

You stopped in your tracks and stared at him with sadness on your face.

He looked back at you for a moment in dead silence and eyed you over.

"Who are you?" he asked.
