I calmly sit in his car. It is a black convertible mustang and let me just say that it is my dream car.

I will drive this car one day. Maybe today if I can "borrow" the keys. I don't think he will call the cops on me for "borrowing" his car, right? Well, even if he did, the cops couldn't catch me. I can go faster than them. Try to catch me now cops! Muahahahaha!

"Okay. I'll tell you whatever you want to know, if you tell me stuff in return." He states.

"Like what? I'm not interesting." I reply and attempt to not daydream about car napping his black beauty.

"Well, I'm curious about you. First off, are you and Tyrone dating?" He says and turns his head to look at me.

My jaw drops and my eyes widen. "No! Why would you ask that?" I exclaim momentarily forgetting about his car.

He shrugs. "You guys act like a couple most of the time." He puts the car in reverse and backs out of the parking space. He eases out of the parking lot, completely taking his time.

I raise my eyebrow. "Are you kidding me?"

"No. I'm serious. You guys act like a couple."

"No! Blaze, you are driving like an old grandpa who doesn't have his glasses on. Step on the gas! Drive like a bad boy!" I rant exasperated with him.

He glances at me with a shocked expression. "I am highly offended, Harper. Do you think you could actually drive like a bad girl?"

"Try me, Blaze. Try me."

10 MINUTES LATER

"SLOW DOWN!"

"NEVER! MUAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Blaze is hanging on for dear life as I push the limits of his amazing car.

I'm kind of afraid he may pass out or something, but he shouldn't have given me the okay to drive his car. He may not get it back. I can kidnap him too. I'm not sure where I would keep him though. We don't have a basement in our house and my brother is home, so his room is out of the question.

"Please pull over, Harper. I may get sick and I don't think you want a ticket."

I pout slightly and slowly apply the brakes to pull over. "Fine," I sigh. "It was fun while it lasted."

"Praise the Lord! I can get out of this car alive!" He exclaims and I laugh.

"I'm a good driver," I state.

He shrugs. "Too fast for me," he mutters.

I shake my head. "So, tell me about yourself."

"I don't smoke, drink, or do drugs. I have my ears pierced. I live with my dad. I'm known as a player," he answers.

"Why are you known as a player?" I question as I park the car.

"I get with a bunch of girls just to get in there pants and then drop them like hot cakes."

"Why?" I ask and feel my stomach twist into knots.

"I don't get my heart broken that way."

I shake my head. "I don't agree with that."

He shrugs. "You don't have to. It's not your decision. It's mine. You're here willingly."

"And I'm leaving willingly too." I say and get out of the car.

"Wait! Harper!" He exclaims and scrambles out of the car. I stop and wait for him to continue. "At least let me take you home."

I shake my head. "I'll get a ride." I state and find Lee's contact in my phone. I press the call button and he answers on the second ring.

"Hey, Princess. What's up?" He answers happily.

"I need a ride. Can you come get me?"

"Yeah, sure. Have you and Ty made up, yet?"

"No."

"Figures. Where are you?"

"At the abandoned theater parking lot."

"Um. Are you okay?"

"Yeah. Just need a ride."

"Okay. See you soon. 18 to be exact."

"Okay."

"So, you and Tyrone aren't talking?" Blaze questions while leaning against his car. I shake my head and cross my arms across my chest. "Because of me."

"Yes. Why are you two rivals?"

"He took the girl I loved, so I changed my appearance and used her to get back at him."

"When?" I question. "I've been best friends with Ty since 5th grade and I didn't know about this.

"2nd grade."

I raise my eyebrow. "Boys are ridiculous." I state and roll my eyes.

1 HOUR LATER

I knock on Ty's bedroom door and wait for him to open it. He opens it and the first thing I notice is that he has no shirt on.

"I won't go around Blaze, but not because you told me to do so. He's a player and the whole rivalry thing you guys have is ridiculous. I know you like me and I may like you too, but I don't have time for a boyfriend or any drama right now. Senior year is too stressful to have a boyfriend and I have college stuff to do. If you want to admit your feelings close to graduation or after that, go for it. I just need to get through the school year first. So, best friends again?" I rant.

"Best friends," he replies and opens his arms for a hug.

I step into them.

I'm going to date him.

I smile as he holds me in his arms.
