Sweet Dreams

It was lovely. My head rested gently on Jule's shoulder as her arms were wrapped around me carelessly. The sun was setting over the ocean waves in front of us. I was happy. So much so.

The sky was a beautiful bleeding orange. An orange that slowly became a lovely scarlet red that stretched into the heavens. It couldn't be more perfect. As I watched I could feel my eyes droop ever so slightly and I absently cuddled closer to the form next to me.

"Getting tired are we?" She asked as a knowing and mischievous smirk graced her lips. Her red eyes had a unique glint to them as the sunset made them glow brighter and she laughed her infamous laugh. In response, I pouted half-heartedly and looked away, back at the sunset despite the fact it wasn't half as gorgeous as Jules was... A loving sigh escaped her lips as she followed my gaze to the sun and she absently gripped me ever so slightly closer to her.

Before I could drift off my Jules decided to stand up and lift me up to my feet along with her. She casually took a phone from her pocket and fiddled with it. Soon soft music emanated from the device. I always loved that song.

With a swift flick, the phone plopped into the sand by our feet and continued on with the song undeterred. The shorter albino gently put her hands on my waist and smiled just a little wider when in response I rested my own arms on her shoulders.

"May I have this dance?" She asked already knowing the answer as I smiled sweetly at her in front of me.

"Of course, Jules," I responded softly, smiling sheepishly at the lover that held me ever so carefully in her arms.

And with that, she whisked me around to the songs that played lazily all around us as the sound of waves crashed nearby. Her platinum white hair flowing free as we twirled around and sometimes stumbling and yet an ever-present smile lit up my features and that only seemed to make my albino-lover beam brighter in return.

Time soon flew by as soon the sun had completed its setting and my lilac eyes were starting to grow heavy in the moonlight.

Jules seemed to take note of this as she slowed to a stop. A trademark smirk still painted her pale features as she watched my sluggish movements.

"Now you can't deny it!" she yelled(softly of course, in consideration of my sleepy state), referencing whether I was tired or not. To validate the call-out more I yawned a small, tired yawn in reply. This caused a laugh to erupt from the Prussians still holding me as a joined in our laughs floating around the serene beach.

Soon I was lifted into the air despite my taller stature and was hugged as tight as Julchen could hug me. Her grip loosened only slightly as she whispered, "ich liebe dich, mein Vogel!"

I watched her with a tender gaze as she held me close before smiling and responding the only way I ever will, "Je t'aime aussi, Jules"

Those words, whispered sweetly in French and German respectively warmed the other thoroughly. Wide smiles were etched into our faces and I hugged the Prussian back with similar pressure. My eyes were closed softly as I pressed her hands to Jules' cheeks as my forehead pressed together to my other half's. We stood, frozen in time as my albino soaked in my presence while the I relished the feeling of being appreciated.

We were happy. So happy standing here on this lovely beach wrapped in each others company. I love Jules, I really do...

However, all good things must come to an end as my consciousness started to ebb away. My eyes fell further as the clutches of sleep gripped and pulled at me.

"See you soon..." The albino whispered as she felt my determined grip start to falter as I fell asleep. I wanted to stay in this perfect world longer... just a little longer. And yet:

I could only respond in sleepy, muffled french as the form I was talking to seemed to dissolve from my grasp as if I had picked up a handful of beach sand and it was blowing from my grasp. Away went the warmth of sand at my toes, away went the cool night breeze that was starting to blow across the beach, away went the love of my life as my grip slipped and I fell into the darkness of sleep.

My eyes fluttered open as my hands turned into fists, absently grasping for the warmth I had fallen so deeply in love with. A sigh escaped my lips as I stood up to start the day.

"À bientôt..." I whispered in response.
