Mono's tourch lit the small space up nicley. It was set in the middle of the room pointing up so it could cover the space. Besides the few creepy shadows, it was surprisingly nice. Mono rested his head on the wall his eyes shut. His arm pulsing. Less so from the sprain but more so from the gaint cut in his arm. He could hear how Six was still awake. Her breathing was unsteady and she kept moving around. Slightly opening his eyes he peeked to see what she was doing. Six had her head resting against one of her knees, blankly staring at him. She was spaced out. Mono moved about and she did nothing. Wonder what she is thinking about?
Clearing his throat, Six snapped from her trance. She shook her head before looking at him. Mono gently smiled to himself, "so you can talk?" Six slighty brought her head up. Her actions conveyed her stress. She didn't know is she should speak back or not. Mono chuckled. Six looked at him with curiosities and confusion. "You don't need to talk if you dont wanna. Only talk when you want to. Don't feel pressured okay?" Mono watched Six's reaction. She stared at Mono before gazing at the floor and nodding in understanding.
Silence filled the room again. It was so tense in the air you could cut it with a knife. Six continued to glare at her feet. Mono analysed her. Her black hair flopped infront of her face, covering everything but her mouth. Her ragged grey sweater sagging from previous tears and covered in filth. Her knees were brought to her chest, with her arms hugging them in comfort. She was calm when she was out of sight from others. Mono nit seeming to affect that. Mono slightly tilted his head. "So, the Teacher is a pretty ugly lady huh?" Mono straightened his head upright. Six had no real response except for her shoulders going up and down in a silent, tired giggle.
After her small, quiet fit of giggles, Six yawned. Her mouth opened while her hand covered it. Her body loosened up as she begun to slumber. Mono watched as she slowly lay down on the floor. She still hugged her knees, staying in a protected ball. He could tell how she was holding back the urge to sleep. She didn't want to risk it. She was still sacred of him. Mono could only feel himself smile as her breathing evened. But she trusted him enough to be able to rest. Mono shifted his gaze from her resting form to the open crack. It was pitch black and silent. Staring into the abyss, Mono felt his eyes staring to fall. With each blink, his eye lids came heavier. His eyes would close for longer periods of time, before he overcome with sleep and past out.
It was peacefull in his dream world. His heartbeat slow, matching his steady breathing while his chest rose and fell with the rythm. His imagination swirled with a mix of yellow and grey. At some point grey would cover his dream world, but not before a yellow light would come lashing through. Bringing colour to his world. A soft whimper started to echo around him. All his yellow lashed away and black came raining down. Mono felt his face squint, as he saw two white eyes glare at him. The body of a slim being flash with the crackle of another, louder whimper. His eyes flung open. Jolting up and jasping for air. What happened. It was so peacefull before- Mono looked over to where the noise came from. And what he saw snapped him in two.
More guilt comes washing into him. Hitting him like a wave. Six's body was jerking about, as her skin was drenched in sweat. She whimpered and cried. She shook and shivered. A nightmare. Carefully, Mono moved next to her, facing her back. He hesitantly layed a hand on her back. From the side, Mono could slightly see through her hair. Her eyes snapped open, her breaths hurried and fearful. She jerked her head towards Mono. "Hey," Mono hushed, "hey. Its okay. Your okay." Six gently nodded before laying her head down. She closed her eyes as her arms hugged her body. Sighing softly, Mono slipped his coat sling of before bundling it up and placing it next to Six's arms. She subconsciously wrapped her arms around it and hugged it. Her tense muscles seemed to relaxe. She feels safer when enclosed.... and hugging something seems to calm her.... a grin fell of his face.
Pushing himself up, Mono slithered his way over to the open enterance. It seemed a small bit lighter outside, alowing him to see, but not by much. Deciding to take his tourch , Mono tip-toed to the middle of the room, careful not wake Six. Mono bent down and snatched the metal tourch up. Once he wrapped his fingers around the body of the tourch, he slowly started to feel the heat from it burn his hand. Mono muffled a yelp, playing hot potato with the tourch. With quick thinking, Mono moved the bottom of his shirt and held the tourch through the fabric. Wincing one eye shut, Mono turned his gaze towards Six. She was still aound asleep, hugging his coat. Sighing and clicking the tourch off, Mono stuffed it into one of his two pockets before exiting through the hole.
A stuffy wave of blunt air hit his skin. It was intoxicating. With stiff motions, he started to walk along the top of the wooden book shelf. Mono felt his breath come short a few times. His mask not helping what so ever in the humid library. When did it get so damn hot in here? Scrabling over a few books, Mono felt like dying. It was only a few minutes later but he felt like a dying dog. Cool sweet rolled down his back. Mono felt shivers hit his nerves. Stopping next to a book, Mono sat down. At lightning speed, Mono rolled up his sleeves and long legged pants.
Grogily he got back onto his feet and contined on. Should I take my mask off.... eh. Mono shrugged the thought off. Comming back to his dreaded, fire pit of a realitly, Mono looked about. Okay, need to think of what I could use... comming to a stop, he pondered. What to do, what to do- in an instant, Mono was staring blankly at the wooden shelf. His eyes unblinking as he thought. Taking a blind step forward, Mono felt his foot slip on a lose sheet of paper. With a pathetic squeak, his face came rushing to the rough wooded shelf. Mono landed straight onto his jaw. His hurt arm setting ablaze. Rolling his body over so his back faced down, he sat up. Mono moved his jaw about, his good hand holding onto it as he moved it about.
Once reassured that his jaw was still on his face, Mono turned to look at his arm. Groaning in pain, Mono looked over himself. He started with moving his wrist about. Mono prepared for pain but when non came he was shocked. Changing his attention from his wrist to his upper arm, stupidly Mono pressed on his bandaged wound. He bolted onto his feet while hissing. What was I expecting really. Mono angrily stared at his wound, as if staring would make his injury disappear. Taking a deep sigh, he looked forward. His eyes landed on a huge stack of disassembled books. Multiple had its binary pulled out, while some pages were sprawled along the wooden board. Well, thats what caused the slip.
Curiously, Mono wandered towards the damaged books. His hands gently caressed slong a dusty, brown cover. It peeled under his touch. Mono kneeled to the floor and started to fiddle with the paper. It was a thin and soft paper. Perfect. Picking up a sheet of paper, Mono folded it and managed to fit it in his other pocket. Barley. Next, Mono analysed the string. Bringing it between his fingers he pulled on the binary. Sturdy. This will work nicely. Rolling it up, Mono slung it around his shoulder, securing it so it won't fall off.
After finding no way around the old pack of books, Mono decided to head down. Carefully, he climbed down a nearby ladder. Reaching the floor, Mono started to venture around more. Nothing really catching his attention. Wondering about, swinging his tourch left to right, he was about to change directions before something shone in his eye. Looking at where the glow came from, Mono groaned. Clicking his tourch off, Mono walked up to a familar desk. Jumping onto a cushioned chair, Mono saw a smooth piece of white cloth. Probably for cleaning glasses. Welp it could be useful.
Holding onto a corner of the cloth, Mono continued his way to the top of the desk. At the top, he pulled out his flashlight and searched the area. Finding what he was looking for Mono trotted over, the cloth dragging behind. Mono smiled before picking up a broken shard of glass. Next to the shard of glass was a broken pair of glasses. Shrugging, Mono started on his journey back to the small hidey hole. But not before stealing a small peice of charcoal from a pencil holder.
As Mono made his way back, he felt his blood run cold. The Teachers body was missing from where Mono had dropped a pile of books on her. Trickles of blood were seen smudged against the floor, with giant hand prints marking books and furniture. She's alive? But how is that possible. The wheight of those books would be enough to kill any man.... Six! Rushing, Mono bolted up a ladder, and sprinted to the hiding spot. Upon entering, Mono clamed down at the sight of Six sound asleep.
Puffing out hot air, Mono moved inside and sat down in his spot. And got to work. He lays out the white cloth and draws the out line of a small animal twice. Both identical. Pulling out the broken piece of glass, and roughy cuts along the outline. Carefully, Mono puts the glass back into his pocket. Grabbing onto the onld binary, Mono pondered on how he was going to sew the string through the fabric. Looking around, Mono went to lean on his hands before something sharp pricked him. Focussing on the sharp peice of wood that stuck from underneath him, a light bulb went off. Quickly snapping the wooden stick off, Mono tied the string around the blunt end and started sewing.
Before completely sewing the fabrics together, Mono started to strip the paper into thin lines. He did this ever so carefully. Making sure Six didn't awake. Once finishing his tearing, Mono exhaled his held breath. Six continued to sleep snuggled up to his coat. He quickly pushed the inside fabric through the small hole making sure the outside was clean and strongly secured. Stuffing the paper through the small gap, Mono finished his sewing and tied up the loose ends. Snatching up the left over charcoal and adding final details like small black eyes, tipped ears and round nose.
Picking up the small plush, Mono grinned, satisfied at his work. The plush resembled a little fox with tipped ears. Moveing it about, Mono saw how its tail and legs flopped about. Kinda cute. Happy, he silently moved closer to Six. Her facial expression was calm, as she hugged Mono's coat. A small grin on her face. Taking a relaxing breath, he tapped her shoulder. Mono felt nervous. What if she doesn't like it or worse, she pretends to like it but actuality hates it... what if... Regretting his idea, slowly Mono turned around. Unfortunately, as he turned the boards under his feet made a loud CREAK! Wincing, Mono could hear Six slowly awakining. Defeated, he turned back to Six, catching her as she rubbed the sleep from her unseen eyes.
"Morning Six," Mono awkwardly greeted, gently picking his coat up and wrapping it around himself, covering the plush. Six tilted her head. Her hair falling to the side, confused. Mono fiddled with the toy under his coat. "Urrr, just- this is- do you- I- HERE!" Mono stuttered before dropping the toy right next to Six. He bolted away to the enterance, his hand leaning on the side. He could feel small beads of sweat form. What in the name of HELL WAS THAT. Oh yeah so clever Mono, scare the girl. Thats just genius. I can't believe I was so scared of giver her a- Mono's thought train crashed as a warm pair of arms wrapped around his body. He looked to his side and saw Six freely hugging him. Startled for a few minutes, Mono soon hugged back. Six broke the small contact and walked ahead, Plushy in her hands. Beaming like a ray of sunshine, Mono caught up to Six on the ground level, and walked side by side with her. Looking down at Six, Mono saw that Six was happy too, as a smile plastered her face. Yes!
