Chapter 31 - Rhythmic Beats
Okay *breaths* okay. So I may be less active on here because of life but that does not mean you can go and be rude in the comments. Not naming any names but please be nice and don't be disrespectful.
And to the majority who is nice, 1, thank you, 2, yes I dealt with that other person. I have reported them and deleted most of their comments. (Some i need to leave for evidence). And I am so sorry that happened.
Anyways. Hi I am alive...... Enjoy the story!

Flesh, bone and eyes pool around the two. Mono franticly tries to avoid the flesh as he runs towards the door Six in tow. His breath is raged with panic. The tower knows we are here, it is feeding.
As they reach the door Mono quickly pulls it open. Its hinges groaned in pain as it swung open. Monos eyes widened, his blood rushing cold. The hall of stairs was no longer there. It was now an old living room with torn up chairs and broken walls that let in the purple light.
Mono turns as he hears the flesh cry out his name. He can hear their voices burn into his skull. Mono, Mono, MONO! He shakes his head, holding it in one hand.
The flesh stars to pour down from the ceiling, its slimy body seeping through the cracks. Six gives a panicked bark, before she picks up Mono in one of her big hands. Mono watches as she dodges the pulsating flesh. Its multiple eyes follow the two with an angered stare.
She quickly takes him to the other side of the lounge, avoiding all of the torn up furniture. On the other side of the lounge there was no door that led out. Mono felt his heart rate quicken as Six kept running towards the wall. “Six?” she doesn’t listen. “Six!” She keeps running at the wall. “SIX!” Mono lifts his arms to cover his face as Six rams into the wall. Brick and concrete fly, smashing even more as it collided with the floor.
The newly discovered room was huge, with fancy glass chandeliers hanging from above. It was very empty for a room so big, it only held a few scraps of paper and one or two televisions.
Six huffs as Mono uncovered his face. Her breath was rugged, he limbs shook. Mono looked up at Six, worry lacing his features. Her face was contorted in pain as she started to limp across the empty room. “Six? Whats wrong?” She glances down at Mono and their eyes meet. Pain glistens in her eyes. Mono didn’t like it. He wanted nothing more than to take her pain away, but the problem was he didn’t know what her pain was. Is she hurt from ramming the wall?
Mono opened his mouth to speak but was cut off when the flesh came crashing in. The meaty substance ate through the ceiling causing the beautiful chandeliers to come crashing down. Six yelped, her feet taking off.
The chandleries fine glass pieces shattered. Its sharp shards digging into Six’s back, feet and arms. She pulled Mono close, protecting him from the tiny glass bullets as she ran.
Six runs, trying to keep Mono safe as sharp glass shards dig in her skin. Blood stained her clothes. Six.
She continued to run and as the last chandelier fell she wasn’t quick enough. It fell on her. Her body crumpled like a piece of paper. He legs gave in and she tumbled. She swiftly moved her hand holding Mono from under her. Her body thumped on the floor, with the chandeliers metal rods and glass pieces digging into her back.
“SIX!”
The flesh froze in place.
Blood dripped to the floor, her eyes pricked with tears. Her fingers lessened around Mono’s waist letting him escape. He rushed to her side. He placed his frozen hands on her face. His heart shattered like the glass as he saw her laying there.
“Come on you’ll be okay. You have to be.” She brushes a few strands from her face. Her amber eyes flutter, as they start to nod down. “Oh, no, no, no. You not going out on my watch.”
Six grumbles. “Come on Six. Here I’ll help you get that off okay. You just gotta stand up a little okay.” He quickly moves to her side, making Six whimper as she couldn’t see him. Mono grabs a thin piece of metal that was connected to the chandelier. He starts to pull. It didn’t do much but it was all his small form could do. “Come on Six. Please help me out.” Tears filled his eyes as he continued to pull. “Please Six. I promise will get you out of this evil place and I will take you to a safe a place, with flowers and green grass. And even if we don’t get out, I am not leaving you behind, even if it means staying here forever. As long as I am with you.”
A small grin tugged at Six’s lips. She puffed before she used the last of her strength to shove the piece of glass and metal off her, causing Mono to fall on his behind. Then her body fell to the floor again. Mono sighed, closing his eyes, “Thank you.” Six purred slightly.
As he opened his eyes his eyes landed on Six’s leg. It was pitch black, with purple lacing the edges. In the middle was the bite that she got from the rat. His stomach flipped as he internally snapped. “Oh Six.” Mono slowly stood up and walked over to her leg. His fingers lightly traced the infected wound. Six’s muscles tensed as she winced. “Why didn’t you just tell me.”
She stayed silent, keeping her gaze forward, avoiding his sad eyes. Her reaction was enough of an answer. “Six. You could have told me. You will never be a bother, okay. No matter what, even if it’s the tiniest of scratches, you can tell me.”
She slightly nods. She carefully lifted her arm, trying not to hurt herself more, and fished something from her yellow raincoats pocket. She pulled out Mono’s coat. It was just as it was before. It didn’t change in size, unlike her. She lowers her hand letting Mono take it.
He smiles and quickly puts it on. He walks over to her face and kisses her nose. “Thanks.” A red blush forms on her cheeks but she covers her face with her black hair. Mono chuckled, “Oh, I was just teasing.” He pushes the hair from her face, seeing her roll her eyes.
“Now let’s get out of this retched city. And then we will find a cure for your leg.” She nods.
“Who said anything about escaping?” a sickening voice laughed. Its glitched voice echoing around the room.
From thin air the thin man glitched into existence. Mono turned protectively in front of Six, Holding his arms out. “Leave her alone!” The Thin Man snickered, “Technically, it was you who was supposed to leave her alone. My original plan was to make her a monster that no one could possibly love, but, this is just as precious.”
Mono gritted his teeth, his hands balling into fists. Behind him Six growled. She pushed her self onto her arms and her good leg. Blood dripped from her back but she ignored it. Her amber eyes glared into the Thin Man.
Thin Man laughed some more, “This little beast of yours wants to protect you. The child of the man who invented this world. You can never escape Mono. You are destined to be trapped in this place and take control, like me. No girl can stop that.”
She hisses. Her body tenses as her blood boils. “Six wait!” She pounces as the Thin Man. The Thin Man’s empty white eyes shone. Lifting a hand in the air. Six screamed as her body twisted and cracked. Her body became smaller and she was soon her original small size. Her body fell to the floor limp and covered in blood.
“Pathetic” He sneered.
“SIX!” He rushes over to her. Her limps form, lifeless on the ground. Mono skidded on his knees to be at her side. He gently lifted her, placing her head on his lap. Blood dripped from her head and back staining Monos pants. Mono gives her a gentle hug whispering her name. He closes his eyes as he listens for any sign of life. Then he feels it. Her hot breath tickling his neck.
Relived, Mono puts he back onto his lap. He glares up at the thin man. His brown eyes glitching into a static blue.
With his voice was filled with poison, he uttered barley above a whisper, “You hurt her.”
