Mono's breath hitched. The Hand squirmed under its retraints. It soon snapped off, and somehow made hissing noises. It scampered off into a corner of the room, blending in with the other limbs. Mono could hear Six gulp. He took a deep, steadying breath and looked at Six. "Six, go back I'll deal with that thing and find a power core." Six opened her mouth to argue, but stopped. She looked up at Mono and shook her head. She grabbed the box's handle and pulled.Relief and determination fuelled Mono. He grabbed onto the box and started to help Six on pulling it, opening up the hole.

The small hole was cramped and a tight fit. Six was able to fit in with ease but Mono had a bit of a struggle. Six stayed in her spot, looking out of the hole trying to spot the hand. She seemed tense. Feeling tense himself, he swiftly grabbed Six's hand. Six froze. She glanced over her shoulder, Mono nodded in confirmation. Giving her nod back, Six looked forward. Mono crouched patiently behind Six, tightly holding onto her hand, waiting for her signal to run. As soon as Six squeezed Mono's hand, she rushed into the open, pulling Mono along. Regaining his footing he saw the Hand leap out of its hiding place, pouncing at Six's face. Mono yanked Six in his direction, causing the hand to miss and fall on its side.

At the speed of light, Mono and Six made it to a small table and pulled themselves ontop of a metal surface. Mono's eyes instantly flew their attentiom to little sharp tools that were laying on the table, surprisingly clean. The hand ran left to right below them, waiting for its prey to make a move. Mono knelt, picking up a tiny knife. "How good are your throwing skills?" Mono looked at Six. She gave him a funny look. Mono lifted up the mini dager, its metal end shining in the faint light. Six's made an 'o' with her mouth. She shook her head left to right, as if to say 'its average'.

Mono watched as Six bent down to pick up a scissor of some type. "First one to get the hand doesn't need to carry the battery." Six side glanced at Mono, slightly smiling. Mono and Six then started throwing sharp tools at the Hand and boy did it not appreciate it. It hissed and spat, lifting two of his fingers like a spiders fang. Mono threw a random sharp tool at the creature missing by an inch. The Hand leaped back giving Six an opening. Mono was in awe as he watched Six get a sraight hit on one of the Spider-hand's fingers, slicing it straight off. The hand curled, spitting its hate before running away into the shadows again. "Bullseye," Mono mumbled star-struck. He had a warm feeling in his chest, feeling proud that Six started to fight alongside Mono.

Six looked over at Mono with a slight smile. Mono had a grin himself, but Six would never know. Just as quick as the smile came it left. She looked down to the side. What happend. Mono was lost. One moment she was happy and brave, the next, sad and shy. It hurt Mono but he knew he couldn't confront Six now, they were still in danger. "Hey," Mono whispered, jumping down from the table, "lets go."

Six nodded and followed. Mono started to climb, using the shelves as a type of ladder. Six right behind him. At the top, they crept through a vent system, popping out the other side and landing on a squishy body bag. When Six landed beside him the pressure of the two on the bag made it burst. Blood sprayed on the two. Mono could taste the metalic tignle of blood in his mouth, as the liquid seeped through his clothing. Ew, ew, ew. Mono's hair stood on end. He shakily jumped down, shivering from disgust and the cool feel of the liquid toughing his skin. Mono cringed, holding his tounge. Six walked next to him, her actions stiff. Lucky for her, her coat was water proof, meaning she didnt have to worry about blood in her clothing. The bad thing however is that she wasn't wearing a mask like Mono.

Six tried to rub her face clean, but to no avail. She grumbled. Walking towards a door opeing, Mono whispered to Six, "once we are out of here, we are so taking a bath." Six nodded next to Mono, scrunching her face in discontent.

Turning on his flashlight, Mono sreached around. They entered and office looking place. File drawers were destroyed, while papers covered the desks. Small lamps where placed on every desk, flickering every now and then. A loud clash, in the vents made both teens look up. Dust floated down as the vents groaned. The Hand was in the vents. "Lets hurry."

They made it to an open area. A huge light shining from above, its light reflecting off the floor. Mono clicked his light off and shoved it back into his pocket. On the top of a wooden table was the battery, glowing. Mono started to make his way, before the vents came crashing down, a ferocious Hand coming with it. It pounced at Mono who dodged it by milimeters. "SIX GET THE BATTERY! AND RUN!" Mono yelled, dodging the hand a second time. From the corner or his eye he saw Six snatch up the battery and search for an exit. Again, Mono dodged the Hand. When Mono landed his foot fell from under him. He fell onto his behind, wincing. Opening his eyes, his gaze fell on a hammer.

Mono kept staring at the hammer. He heard the hand get itself back up, turning to leap at Mono again. Mono looked up, seeing the hand jump at its face. His body dropped to the floor and he rolled towards the hammer. With the hand tumbling on its side, Mono grasped the handle of the weapon. Quickly, rolling onto his feet, Mono swung the hammer and smashed the hand. He could hear the sadistic crunch of bones. The hand hissed in pain. Mono gave another swing, hitting the hand again and again and again. The Hand gave a defeated cry before curling into a ball.

Sweat dripped from Mono's forehead onto his paper bag. Gazing to his side, where Six would be, Mono's heart stopped when she wasn't there. He searched the room, with no sign of Six. "HEY!" Mono called, panicked. "SIX!" Thats when he heard a faint "here." Rushing over to a door, Mono saw a whole in the door, with glass surrounding it. Pushing through the hole, Mono looked about. His eyes caught sight of light shining from the limb room. Running over, Mono saw Six sitting next to a plastic hand, pulling at its fingers. The battery was next to her, providing some light.

"You okay?" Mono asked, carefully. Six nodded, standing up. Mono looked at what Six had done. Oh she is not okay! The hands fingers were twisted on odd ways that would be impossible for a real hand. Mono gulped. "Okay?" He softly muttered. He went over to the battery and lifted up the battery. "Come," Mono told Six walking out of the room. Six followed without a word, as usual.

Mono made his way to the lift and noticed that he needed two batteries to make the lift function. Well unless I magically duplicate this battery, we aint going no where. Mono was snapped from his thoughts when he felt a soft tap on his shoulder. He looked back and saw Six pointing at another power point. Well I guess thats where we're going next.

Plugging in the battery, a loud buzzing noise echoed through out the whole ward. Both Six and Mono had to cover their ears. "That could not have been louder," Mono scolded the speakers. Six nodded. Walking through the jail like gate, the two where met with two cell doors, one of which was slightly open. The other cell room had a bench that reached up to where the cell bars were broken which made a small hole. "Well, one way in, one way out" Mono uttered, "you with me." Mono put his hand out waiting for Six to grab it. "Y-yeah," Six struggled. Mono smiled as she took his hand.

Still holding hands, Mono and Six slipped their way through the small gap of the one's cell door. A mannequin stood inbetween the next door, preventing the two from continueing. "imagine if that came to life", Mono wondered. "Lever," Six whispered ever so softly, ignoring Mono's previous comment. Mono looked at her, following her gaze. His eyes where met with an orange handled lever. "Nice," Mono praised. Mono reluctantly let go of the girls hand, quickly pulling on the lever, unsure of what it can do. Letting go he made his way back to Six, holding her hand again.

Suddenly the lights began to flicker. The cell door slammed shut, caging the two in. Both tensed, holding onto eachothers hand more tightly. Looking to their left, the saw the mannequin twitch its hand. Mono took a step back. Its fine. The light flashed mpre before the bulb cracked, making the light spark off. The figure, twitched more. It then started to fully move. Its not fine. Its ligaments made creaking noises as it moved towards the two teens. Mono freaked. His mind was blank as he pulled out his torch and switched it on. It froze. Its hand was almost fully around Mono.

Mono opened his eyes. "How... did you.... know?" Six hoarsly quizzed. Mono gave a fight driven giggle, "I honesty was trying to blind it." Pulling away from its grip, Mono kept his light on the figure. Still holding hands the two shimmied through the gap that the mannequins was blocking before. Turning around and taking the light of the Mannequin, it came rushing towards them. Mono looked back and flinched when he saw the figures arm reach through the openeing freezing under a small spot light. Mono gave a secret cocky grin, proud he had survived near death.

Facing forward, Mono's face fell. He thought one was tricky, how about many more hidden between non active mannequins. "I have an idea," Six looked up at Mono, "we run." Tightening his grip, Mono pulled Six along behind him. Figures started to twitch to life.

There was about three chasing the two teens but froze when Mono spun around with his flash light. He pulled Six behind his back. Walking backwards, the two made it to a green broken door. Its lower half was still intact but its upper half was nowhere to be seen. At ths door, Six hopped over. Mono glared between the mannequins, watching. Inhaling, and holding his breath, Mono switched his light off and pulled himself over the door. The Mannequins came crashing in freezing once again under a small spot of light.

Sighing, Mono got Six's hand again and together they ventured through a near by vent. Out on the other side. Trying to stand, Mono hit his head on some type of bar. Glaring up he saw that it was the underside of a bed. "Stupid bed," Mono grumbled, crawling his way from under the bed. Six follwed, shaking her head.

The room was dark, but that all changed when Mono flicked his light on. On the wall were marks, tallying up the amount of time the person must've spent in here. Mono sighed when his eyes met with an all to familiar eye scribbled on the wall. Six came up next to him, grabbing his hand. She pulled his arm, silently telling him she felt uncomfortable here. Mono looked to the ground and nodded, trudging his way out of the room. Outside of the room was a long corridor, woth boarded up metal doors on either side. Hand in hand, they made their way along the hall.

CRASH! Hands came bursting out from the doors. Each grasping, trying to fish out something. Six screamed, her hand quickly covering her mouth. Pulling Six along, Mono swerved to avoid all the hands. More and more kept popping out. At the end of the hall, Mono felt himself get yanked to the side by Six. A metal door crashed next to Mono's foot. Looking over, Mono turned his light towatds the body that was crawling along the floor. His hand securely around Six's hand, Mono took Six down the hall, turning his light too face any figure that crawled after them.

Ducking under a set of beds the two made it to a file cabinet. Mono let go of Six's hand to allow her to climb up, while he was keeping the enemies at bay. Once a few seconds went by, Mono jumped up and grabbed onto the file cabinets handles. Making his way up, he met Six at the top. Next to her was a small vent. She didn't go on without me. She.... stayed? Six nodded, and made her way through the vents, Mono doing the same.

Even if Six was infront of Mono's vision, he could clearly see the light shining at the end of the tunnel. Exiting the vent, Mono noticed something odd. They were now on the floor. But when the enetred the vent they were above the floor. And in the vent they never when up or down, it was a straight line. Mono and Six stared at each other. Six shrugged and walked over to a chair with a weird device at the head of it. Thats when Mono saw it. The second battery, just laying on a wooden table. Happily, Mono got the battery. Mono observed as Six made her way up a seondary wooden table and jump up and through a small hole in the bars.

Doing exactly what Six did, with the addition of throwing the battery through the hole, Mono and Six made their way to the elevator. Mono with one battery Six with the other. Shoving them into their slots, Mono heard the elevator buzz to life. Walking over to the switch again, Mono pulled down on it. When a click was heard Mono let go.

A ping rung through the room as the elevator doors opened. Thats when Mono noticed Six taking hold of Mono's arm, hiding behind it. Mono's face scrunched in confusion. "Scared of an elevator?" Six nodded. Mono slowly started to enter the elevator, with a scared Six holding his arm. "We just faced living plastic, and your scared of an elevator." She nodded. Mono couldn't help but smile. "You'll be fine." Was the last words Mono mumbled before the lift doors closed and starting its descent.
