Jessica headed into the house and went to the master bedroom, the house was built in the late 1800s right after the Civil war, the house had been passed down the family to her. Everything in the home was updated to present-day standards, but it did have furniture dating back to the time that the house was built. One of the many reasons her aunt wanted the house. Like Jessica would willingly give her hag of an aunt anything, but a swift kick to the temple.

Jessica walked over to the dresser where the package that her father left specific instructions on today was the day that she was to open it. Jessica looked at the package and began to open it inside was a note from her father:

Jessica,

My darling daughter if you are opening this on the day of the new moon then on the 1-year anniversary of my passing then all you will ever hoped for will come true. Your aunt wanted the necklace one of three rare necklaces Odin's tears as they are called. Your grandfather bought it for your grandmother during World War II from a poor family in Norway. The one you have is the Rose. Funny how it is fitting that it is passed to you.

You were always my little rose, so beautiful, but covered in thorns with how you shield yourself from harm. This wear it well my daughter.

Love,

Your father

Jessica opened the box and found a silver chain with a gold rose with a dew drop that was a diamond. The necklace was beautiful, and something that she had fallen in love with as a child. She put the necklace on and headed to the bathroom before heading to bed. When she was finished with her bath she got dressed and headed to bed. Jessica laid in bed and fell asleep quickly.

When she woke up she woke up in a room of white. She sat up and looked around, where was she? Just then the door opened causing her training as a Marine to kick in. A familiar face greeted her. Blond hair, fair skin, pointed ears, white gown and all stood Lady Galadriel. The lady of the golden wood smiled at her softly "Hello child." The Lady of  Lòthlorien said

"Lady Galadriel? How can this be?" Jessica asked shocked.

The Lady of Lòthlorien arched a delicate golden brow at her "Your heart, as well as the one who wished you here, brought you." Galadriel said, "As you sleep in your world you will wake up here."

"The one who wished me here?" she asked

"You will know when you meet him. For now, you must train, you must save two lives to save three more." said the Lady of Light.

Jessica swung both legs over the side of her bed and stood to follow, Jessica was dressed in a simple elven gown that covered her feet. The morning sun greeted her, kissing her cheeks and hair with its glow. She followed the Elven queen to a new area, all the while Jessica took in the sights of Rivendell. At a table sat Lord Elrond, King Thranduil, Saruman The White, Gandalf the Gray, and Prince Thrain. She bowed her head in a show of respect. Lord Elrond stood "Welcome child. You are one of the three who have been chosen." Elrond said

"Chosen? I am nothing special," she said looking down

"But you are. Though you do not see it. You have been through so much loss and heartache." Prince Thrain said.

She looked up at the Prince of Erebor in shock. What was really going on? She felt faint like she was going to pass out at any moment. Then she felt a hand on her shoulder and looked up to see Lord Elrond. He led her to a chair and helped her sit "This child doesn't wish to be here." Thranduil pointed out.

She looked at the King of the Greenwood "I doubt she can even fight." Saruman added that caused Thranduil to smirk.

How dare They! She stood up and looked at the pair "Listen here you old coots. I will not have you disrespect me." she growled.

The white wizard arched a brow, and smirked "Perhaps I was wrong." he said.

Thranduil just eyed her "She has a strong will. She will do just fine." said Gandalf.

She sat down and glared at Saruman completely ignoring Thranduil. She knew what he was going to do. Then it dawned on her. She was here to save Thorin, Fili, and Kili!

She didn't know who the other two were, but she had a strong feeling it had to deal with Frain and Vili. She looked up and into the eyes of Prince Thrain. He was hoping for an answer, one that was the right one "So let me get this right. You wish for me to protect Frain and Vili. Then when the time comes protect Thorin and two other heirs?" she asked.

The council nodded "You will not be alone when the time comes two others who have suffered as much as you will help you." said Galadriel.

She nodded "Very well, I accept this mission and will see it through even if it costs me my life." she said.

All of the council members but one (Four guesses on who, but you're going to need one.) all looked pleased with her reasoning "Let us hope lass, that it doesn't cost you your life." said Thrain.

She hoped so too.

~Erebor

Thorin was pleased that his father was returning from Rivendell. They were due back any day. His younger brother Frain was flirting with one of the maidens while Vili was following his younger sister Dis.

He looked up at the sky and thought of his dream the night before. He couldn't get the woman out of his head.

By the time night fell as he laid in bed, all that she went through. All the pain she had been put through. Any man would be lucky to have her by his side.

She was perfect in his mind's eye, she was a warrior princess trying to find her place in the world. He closed his eyes and began to dream of her again.

She stood before him at the gates of Erebor. Her hair in a braided bun at the top of her head. She had an assortment of weapons on her. Swords, axes, knives, and a bow. Her steel gray eyes locked onto his "Who are you beautiful creature?" he asked

"You will know soon my King," she replied

"I am no King, not yet anyway," he said

"You will always be a king in my eyes," she replied.

Thorin awoke the hearth had died down only the hot coals now glowed in the darkness of his chambers. She was a beautiful creature and to know she was here made long for her all the more. Thorin smiled softly in the dark "Soon my lady, I shall have your name. Then I will get to know you better, then I shall make you my princess." he said to the darkness as he fell back into a peaceful sleep.....
